It was a moving place but couldn't help feeling it was more about just collecting money. Its a "do once" experience in my opinion. No photos allowed inside. Make sure you book in advance as you can only get in if you book. And dont forget your identification that matches what you bought the ticket with otherwise you will be refused entry.

As one would expect it was a very emotional experience, haunting but the museum have beautifully done tribute to Anne, her family and friends that lived thier last years in the annex and as sad as it is everyone who gets the opportunity to should experience going, as hearing Anne's story is so so very important.

Visiting the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam was a deeply moving experience. The museum provides a poignant insight into the life of Anne Frank and her family during a tumultuous period. The preserved rooms and artifacts create a powerful connection to history. The audio guide enhances the understanding of the exhibits, and the atmosphere within the house is one of somber reflection. A must-visit for anyone interested in understanding the impact of World War II on individuals and the resilience of the human spirit.

The Anne Frank house is incredible touching. I truly recommend you book your tickets with a lot of day in advance to your trip to Amsterdam. The tickets will be around 15 euros. When you arrive, there will be a lot of people in front of the entrance and there will be staff guiding and welcoming you. When you enter the locating, you will be given an audio guide for free and the staff will tell you that photograph\videos are not allowed. You will be guided all the way up to the secret annex where Anne and her family hided during the World War II. The place is really well preserved and in a lot of moments I felt Anne Franks presence there. I felt really emotional.

Visited the famous Anne Frank house, which was one of the popular places to visit in Amsterdam. I totally love the canals in Amsterdam and the fact that the water transportation is so amazing. There were a ton of people here and you need to make an online booking as they allow only a limited quota of people to enter the museum. So make sure you book online before your visit.

The museum takes you through an audio tour of the house where the Frank family lived for two years and Ann wrote her diary. Definitely book online in advance. The cloakroom is free so Definitely put your coat and bags in as the staircases are steep and narrow. The electronic audio guide is free and in eight different languages. A must visit in Amsterdam.

The long queues to enter for more than an hour It's enough for me not to return to visit when someone comes to Amsterdam to visit me, there are also a lot of people inside the house which becomes very oppressive, Making the experience worse, they also don't let you take photos, all the time some worker scolds you. As you will see with my photos I did not care. I think they only care about getting your money and not Delve into what was the tragic life of the Frank family

A humbling and somber experience but an important one none the less. An amazing story and an incredible feeling as you experience such a sad part of our world's history through the eyes of a young girl. As a whole, most people were very respectful but there were a few who had no respect for what happened.

Went on the walking tour, which was good and very informative. Sandra our guide was very good. As for the house if you do want to go I would seriously recommend booking way in advance as they sell out really quick.

Really well-curated and well-maintained museum that tugs at your heartstrings while also being extremely educational. There's an audio guide provided, which really helps to immerse you in the history of the place. Definitely a must-visit when you're in Amsterdam and worth booking well in advance, especially during peak seasons. We went in February so tickets were not as in-demand, and we were able to get tickets within a week before going.

If visiting Amsterdam this is a must go place. House is warm and the staff is friendly. There are places you can't access such as the Annex where Ann hid because it's "secret" that part I did not like. But other than that it is worth visiting.

What an incredible story of survival. The words of a young girl who carried the world. I’m not going post the exhibit photos. It wouldn’t be fathomable to tell here. After the tour, there is a full coffee bar and book shop. For a child who longed for the sun and window with a view. This inclusive audio tour finishes in a wonderful view on the city. I checked two carry on sized bags at not cost, but they are subject to security check. Staff was very professional and multilingual. Please plan your tickets in advance to this unique exhibit. Then make your way the Spinoza statue, the Jewish Ghetto , and the Theater to learn about the human experiences of the Holocaust. Please don’t be alarmed by the extra security around the building. The rise of antisemitism is ever present. Be mindful and vigilant.

Amazing artifact of history that can reduce you to tears. I definitely recommend booking the tour--in advance, online--with the introductory talk. It gives you that immersive experience.

  • 5/5 Hervé M. 3 years ago on Google
This place is definitely worth visiting. We opted for the introduction presentation which is definitely worth it too. It puts you in context and give you a better understanding of the visit. The staff is friendly and their explanations are really easy to understand. The visit is very pleasant too, as they use an audio system that activates when you tag it every time you enter a new room. A very moving story to remember the errors of the past to not do again.

Buy your tickets in advance, online. They sell out fast. It's definitely worth seeing and paying your respects. You get to walk all throughout the building, behind the bookshelf that hid Anne Frank and her family. They offer an audio tour at your own pace.

Make sure to get your tickets before your trip. We got ours about 5 weeks before our visit. If you go, get tickets with the introduction lecture. It is about 40 minutes and is well worth the time.

The place is so overwhelming and emotional to be in, but it’s well preserved, organized and beautiful. The videos, pictures, and audio explanation take you back as they were still in there. I loved the place and I highly recommend it. But don’t forget to visit the Anne Frank sculpture outside the house right in front of the church☺️

Everyone has heard of Anne Frank, so this review focuses on the practicalities. Tickets have to be purchased in advance and are only available from the official website. Tickets are released every Tuesday at 10am UK time six weeks in advance. They offer a 30min introduction which we purchased and felt was worthwhile to set everything in context for the other people in our group. You then get taken downstairs to the main entrance where you collect your audio guide. Point the device at the numbers in the rooms to hear the audio. Be warned! Lots of steps when you get into parts of the original house. No spoilers as far as the house is concerned but it's well worth the visit. We felt numbers were controlled well even though a few rooms got a little congested. There is a cafe on site with lovely views over the canal.

This is more memorial than a museum. Very few belongings of Anna Frank were spared, so in the museum you mostly see the rooms where it all happened, plus the famous diary. It is highly recommended to read Anna's diary prior to visit; being more informed, you can better "feel" the place. The photography is not allowed inside (which is quite unusual for Dutch museum). It is very important to buy tickets well in advance on their website (I mean, months in advance): the museum is extremely popular and quite small, so all tickets are gone very quickly and there is essentially zero chance to buy them on the day of the visit.

  • 4/5 Michael R (. 1 year ago on Google
Thought provoking reminder of what the Franks went through. You get to see the actual hidden apartment that they were in for two years and a month, and where the famous diaries were written. There are a few things to be aware of (1) it can be difficult to reach via public transport (2) tickets are online only and are for 15 minute slots (3) there are a lot of stairs, some steep (4) arguably it's a taster for the diaries, though there are recorded contributions from her father and others.

Very nice place to visit, but I would recommend to buy tickets online as that’s the only way you can buy tickets. Also, I would recommend to buy tickets in advance at least wait a week as they sell out really fast and it’s on the main webpage that tickets are limited.

Small house and museum but worthy. The audio device is included in the price but I recommend the context talk, not mandatory but you will understand faster what happened during the rooms in the museum. It's forbidden to take photos inside. You have to book and buy your tickets very in advanced

A good audio tour that was easy to follow and was interesting to hear some first-hand accounts from Anne Franks father and other family friends as well as see the actual secret including original ladder & countertop. Gave a real idea of what I’d read about and cool to see her actual diary pages as well. They estimate tour takes about an hour and that was spot on - we went through all the audio tour stops and saw/read the various exhibits and were done in exactly an hour. Easy to follow and everyone directed clearly on next place to go etc. Be prepared to climb some very steep stairs.

Excellent administration, clock room for coats/jackets, and bags. Team inside and outside organised well with smiles to all. Those who like to know about history must visit, really well done by sharing personalised items, Anne place, hiding room, the famous bookshelf, all original. Loads of video clips and so much more to look if you are interested. Those who know the history will be really emotional ride for them. Shops inside to buy related things, a cafe available for cold and hot drinks and bit food and snacks available. Two toilets, but they are both gender neutral.

Having grown up with the story of Anne Frank, it has always been on the list to do/see. We were a little confused as to whether we were at the right place. We were expecting a period house, but In fact the entrance is through a modern looking building. There is a couple of museum staff outside if you are not certain. Make sure you book online (online is the only way to get tickets) and select a time that suits your holiday. The time you choose makes no difference to the amount of people that will be in the house. As they allocate a set number to the time slots. Bags bigger than a ladies handbag, will have to be put in a cloakroom (inside the museum on the right hand side). Make sure you get the audio tour, which is collected inside prior to gaining access to the house. The audio control is easy to use, just point it at the numbers in the various room you walk through. Sometimes it will start the next audio as you enter a room. The actual door to the house is outside next to the canal. That’s where you can pose for a photo. The audio was informative, and each room was well explained. To actually walk where the families had spent 2 years of their life really resonated with me. It is a must see museum in Amsterdam I glad we went.

The Anne Frank House tour is absolutely heart breaking, although it's mind blowing to be there knowing at one point the Frank family were too and that some of their items and decor etc is still there. What got me most was the bookcase, the original bookcase is still there for you to see. I don't want to spoil anything else, but I definitely recommend you see this all for yourself, you won't regret it!

Anne Frank house museum is wonderful. The museum has been maintained well and they have very clear instructions available. Upon entrance you will be provided a audio guide and when you will begin the tour, the audio will provide you history related to that place in museum. Some rooms have WW2 videos being played there. It’s a great museum which provides and enriching unforgettable experience.

A very important experience. I must admit though, the celebrification of Anne sometimes missed the true message of what her story told. Thoroughly worth it however but over the years it has lost some of its...integrity? Online booking is essential. Audio tours in multiple different languages.

This is an astonishing place and highly recommended. The story of Anne Frank is inspiring and heartbreaking. It is amazing to be in her hiding place and to read her words and hear the spoken words of her father, the only member of her family who survived, and other people who survived and knew her. It is also inspiring to see pictures and read about the people who risked their lives to support the family in hiding.

It was difficult to find, with little or no signage pointing to its exact location. When we found it, after asking at a local tourist site, it was entirely housed by a modern structure which deprived it of its ambience or sympathetic consideration. As with almost all of the museum's in Amsterdam, the cost of admission is prohibitive. We determined that the price precluded further exploration since the historical significance and mood of the place was obscured.

Probably one of the most popular museums in Amsterdam. Surreal feeling and experience after reading the diary of Anne Frank. I felt very connected to the stories she wrote and came out of the musuem feeling something different. Very well worth the trip if you're in Amsterdam, do remember to book your tickets early! Sadly, no photos in the annex!

Most important place to visit in Amsterdam. Need book in advance in good time. Very popular place. Exhibition is not too many and too few. Audio guide is excellent and 30minutes is good for children to concentrate to listen. Not suitable for very small children but over 10? They can learn lot from history.

Wow.. a chilling harrowing experience. It was done very tastefully and respectfully to Anne and her family and all involved. No pictures allowed bar outside at the sign which I did not feel right getting a photograph and smiling..but plenty did.. you cannot touch the original fittings..which is fitting for such a historic building. The audio tour was wonderful and catered for all languages. I had tears in my eyes listening and looking at such an amazing building that the walls hold so much emotion. Touching the walls, seeing her magazine cut outs on the wall, the original bookcase and Anne an her sisters height chart marked on the wall really brought the humanity to it an lack of it at the time.. the workers at Anne Frank house where very friendly accommodating and helpful to everyone.. book well in advance if you don't want to miss out on this wonderful humbling experience that links a passage through time.. 5 stars

Nice experience but mostly because it's such a powerful place. There aren't a lot of explanations, mostly pieces of the diary or other things that survived the war. Obviously interesting but there could be more work from the museum. Also, too many people enter at the same time. The whole part where we visited the secret annex quickly became standing in line and walking very slowly from one object and room to the next. It definitely takes away from the experience.

You don't really get a true idea of how small this place is until you visit. I would say to read the book before going here as it gives a better context of what you are actually looking at. There is an introductory session which lasts about 30mins which is helpful to give you a summary of Anne's life and just enhances what is in the book. I visited recently because there was no queues and was empty inside. During peak season and not in pandemic times I can't say I would have enjoyed as much as the spaces are really small for the amount of people who are allowed to attend under normal circumstances. However, as a museum, the audio guide is very good although sometimes the stories are on loop with no real way of knowing its gone to the beginning again so you end up standing there like a lemon listening until you figure out you already listened to that part. The descriptions were great and I liked how a lot of the original features have been preserved and put on display like the infamous bookcase that kept the whole place a secret. It is a place you would only visit once as once you have seen it, you have seen it as history doesn't change much. As it is a memorial, you aren't allowed to take in big bags or camera or use your phones. The facilities are good although not really suited for disabled or elderly people who would have difficulty on the ladders.

The tour is amazing, audio guides are free, and the history of this young girl is truly heartbreaking. We understand a lot how she and the other people in hiding used to live & hide there. A bit disappointing because none of the house is originally kept exept for a stair, and the library/door to the annexe. The room where entirely empty, we only saw reconstitution pictures on the walls. We would have loved to see more about their original objects ; even if I can understand that it’s difficult to expose them.

The Anne Frank House museum is a very roomy modern visitor centre that connects onto the house itself. The museum is incredibly busy so the experience has been streamlined a lot. Every visitor gets an audio guide included with their ticket which is available in many languages. There is a free cloakroom where you must leave any bags and coats, which helps to keep the museum a bit more open despite the crowds - but note you won't be allowed to store suitcases or other large bags. You can optionally buy a ticket with an "introductory program", which is a talk by a staff member in a special side room in the new building that gives an overview of the families' lives in the context of the events of the war. The talk includes a number of photos, videos, and a few items from the house to give more insight. An added bonus of the talk is that the room gives an opportunity to see the secret annex from the outside, which you obviously cannot see from the street. I would highly recommend the introductory program - of course it does repeat a lot of what the audio guide describes later on, but it is well explained and there is an opportunity to ask extra questions. The museum itself is good, the audio guide works with a number of pictures and videos to tell the story of the family. The annex itself is mostly empty but the original bookcase is still in place and it gives you a good idea of how cramped and dangerous their situation was. Overall well recommended but very busy so do think about buying tickets as early as possible!

Their online booking system was simple and easy to use. The price of the museum was very affordable. No pictures inside the museum is allowed but many of the photos available only accurately depict what you can expect. Upon entering, you are given a headset which works very well and gives you interesting information as you walk from room to room. The museum takes you through the Frank's business and the people who were essential to their secret and survival behind the bookcase. I would have liked more of a historical context as to what the realities were for everyone living in the city at that time, but understand it's not necessarily a war history museum. The rooms where the families stayed have no furniture in them so it takes a bit of imagination to begin to understand what it might have been like. The experience is humbling and a lasting tribute to Anne's diary. I went during COVID and we were asked to keep distance and have no more than 4 people in each room, plus keep distance. Most people did not adhere by those rules and we were not asked to wear masks. The museum is not accessible for people with mobility limitations due to the narrow stairs.

Interesting and significant place, that should remind us of the horrors of WW 2. Unfortunately the hiding rooms were completely striped of any furniture, like they were back in the day and you couldn't really feel how they lived there. Otherwise everything else was great

Truly the most poignant moment of any trip I've made in the world. The museum is respectful and beautifully appointed in design and layout. Hearing the somber bells of the nearby church, I could feel what it might have been like, cramped into the tiny rooms with strangers who became a family of sorts. Unfortunately, I now sit with the rest of the world watching the US, my homeland, quickly becoming her reality. I can only hope we learn from her. Worthy of a visit on so many levels.

The hiding place is well preserved. They’ve now added an audio guide experience in the past few years so that there is some time gap before you actually enter the hiding place. Well worth seeing once when you’re in Amsterdam. Definitely book in advance online.

I actually visited it years ago, the tour is often busy and you have to keep moving but it’s amazing to see the space where the family lived. Then you move into a theatrical museum where her last days are explored. A must visit when in Amsterdam.

Brilliant visit, very organised. Great experience, was a rainy day so was glad to get inside for an hour. Eerie when you come to the Annex and everyone was very quiet and respectful. Will visit again with our children on next visit.

It's a beautiful rich area. I highly recommend visiting it at night and daytime. There are many small streets in between where you can walk around and get yourself a quick snack and would keep walking around. I highly recommend having a fully charged phone to take good pictures. There's free wifi in the area but not that strong.

You could almost feel Anne Frank’s presence as you walk through the home. People were very quiet as they went through and you could tell there was a lot of emotions going through them. Definitely a must see while in Amsterdam but be sure to buy your tickets well in advance online.

We needed just over an hour walking through Anne Frank House. The museum was well done. We were given small listening pieces used to listen to audio information in each room, which was nice as it allows you to walk through the museum at your own pace. As you might imagine, the material is very heavy here, but educational and beneficial. I would recommend this museum when in Amsterdam. Recommend booking as early as possible. We booked just over 1 month prior to our visit.

The Anna Frank house is an emotional experience for all the people having read her diary and knowing her history. Very good audio guide introduce you to the house. Even if the furniture is not there, you can imagine the presence of the people by their pictures. It's really evocative.

It was very difficult to get tickets for the museum tour plus the introductory program but so well worth it! Having the context of the life of Anne Frank added to the overall experience. This place is so well done. It is respectful to the memory of what happened here. Take time to really think about the actions of what took place in this very spot. It will hopefully help you gain a new perspective on the grave horrors and the unimaginable kindness of humanity.

We were so fortunate to be successful in purchasing tickets via the Anne Frank Website in order to be able to visit this museum. We paid for an English Speaking Introduction prior to the tour, which enabled us to take a few limited photos prior to entering the museum itself. The tour is very humbling, and brings home the horrific circumstances faced by the Jews during the War. There is an audio guide included in the price, in multiple languages, you scan it at various locations as you proceed through Anne Franks House. The attention to detail is phenomenal, this has been on my list of places to visit for many years, and I can only say it's worth every penny and effort to secure tickets. Photos and filming are prohibited, which helps preserve the museum in its original state, you also focus all your attention on the experience. The cafe is reasonably priced, and very much needed after absorbing all the information regarding how 8 people had to live in secret in order to avoid capture. Heartbreakingly, they were discovered and were put on the last train to the concentration camps! It wrenches at your heart. The shop has a selection of quality items including copies of her diary, a diary which should be read, even if it's the only Diary you read.

(Translated by Google) It is not just a museum but the house where Anne Frank and her family hid for a long time of her life from the Nazis. Therefore it is not just a place of presentation but a historical relic. There is no access to disabled people. as some stairs and hatches are narrow enough to fit a stroller. It also has stairs everywhere. The things and manuscripts of Anne Frank that are preserved to this day as well as some of her personal items are in common view. You are in awe when you realize that you are especially for people like me who like to go to important parts of modern history. Space is limited and can not accommodate many people. For this reason you will not easily find tickets if you are a tourist. You must book them and pay through their website at least 2 months in advance to find the dates you want. I would like to say that we found it really disappointing, and after seeing a documentary on TV, we now partly know why. It was also true that you could not take your time anywhere and had to keep walking. When we were there the store had just been painted and the rooms had not yet been decorated. Actually, now, it's outrageous that we had to pay the full entrance fee, and sad that the reviews have been taken down.

Buy your tickets in advanced, and be on time, or you will most likely not be able enter. We got there early for our time slot and so many people were turned away. The audio guide is really nice and available in a lot of languages. You're not allowed to take photos during the exhibit. Some people who are viewing the house were a tiny bit annoying, but nothing major. There are a lot of stairs and most of the house is not suitable for those of limited mobility. You will have several moments where you are waiting to go through the next room, following a queue of people. They try to stagger groups going in, but you will have to wait in certain sections. The history and hearing about the house, the people there, and Anne Frank are very good and well done. It might not keep the youngest child entertained, but great for the elder children and up.

Excellent place to visit while in Amsterdam. A historical view of the war through a child's eyes. We did the self paced audio tour and it will cover your needs for the tour. • 3/5 Kenny E. 1 year ago on Google
Very interesting to visit and the audio tour was done well. However they are overselling the number of tickets for the timeslots. Rather than being able to.meander at your leisure, you are on one long line that snakes through the entire exhibit. You do not have time to stop and reflect as there is a constant press of people's bedding you. This would be a much better experience if they spaced the groups out.

This was probably the defining point of my time in Amsterdam. The space has been preserved incredibly, and it was so informative yet soul destroying at the same time. I would like to mention the accessibility. Of course, due to the nature of the museum, the annexe isn't accessible. It's up a lot of stairs, and I totally get that. I'm disabled with a mobility impairment and bought a ticket expecting to only be able to do the modern visitor centre, but a member of staff came and talked to me and showed me images of all of the potential barriers to my entry and let me make a decision about what I was able to do. He said that I could take it as slow as I needed, and that I could wave at one of the CCTV cameras if I found myself in difficulty and they'd come and help me. I decided to go ahead and try, because my great great grandfather died in the same camp that Anne and Margot did and my surviving great grandmother was around Anne's age when she was imprisoned in a camp. It was something I needed to do if I was at all able to, and they supported that. They even came and found me about half way round to check I was doing okay. It was worth every penny, and the bruises from misjudging a couple of steps! I couldn't recommend it more. It was very informative and emotional, and the English audio tour was brilliant. The use of mixed media was exceptional.

We did the introductory session which didn’t really provide much additional information than what’s in the audio guide but it was still nice to start the tour having been refreshed on the story of Anne Frank. Very moving museum. For sure a must visit in Amsterdam! I would recommend to book tickets in advance because the line is shorter than to buy there. Also, bring a small purse because larger items need to be storaged. You CANT take pictures inside the house so don't even bring an awesome camera.

World renowned museum. Best to book tickets in advance or there will be a long queue and no chance of entering.

Awesome Museum! Be sure and watch your window of purchasing tickets. It sells out weeks in advance. Not friendly to handicap visitors or seniors that have mobile issues. The self guided tour with individual language devices worked great. You shouldn't miss this history.

If you want to visit, you have to purchase tickets early. They go on sale 6 weeks in advance and it's highly recommended you don't wait to get them! (same for Van Gogh museum if you want to go, I was told 2 months early). The museum is simple and humbling and worth the trip. Doesn't take long.

Right next to the canal, back in the days of Anne Frank, it must have been quite serene and peaceful. And WW2 turned it upside down... To be cooped up in the attic of such a place! There's a museum and a Dialogue place next to the house now. Book the tickets in advance, online, if you want to visit the museum.

Walking through the house was very very surreal. I don’t really recommend doing the introductory program, you can find much better and more in depth info on their YouTube channel and/or website before you go! Also if you show up a little bit early and get turned away go back and talk to someone else. We were directed to the wrong place and ended up missing our tour. Thankfully a different staff member was kind enough to put us in the following tour.

One of the most visit place in Amsterdam, the quality free audio guide and the way museum is made take you back in time step by step after every room. Something to experience...

Make sure to buy tickets in advance. I didn't have much of a wait at all. It was an amazing experience, very informative. There is a gift and coffee shop inside the building.

I haven’t been to Anne Frank house for couple years and they definitely expanded and a bit bigger. It is a nice museum to understand what Anne Frank - a teenager was going through during the Second World War. The museum did a good job to paint a good picture of the live of Anne Frank before , during and after. I also like the fact that it is not scheduled time and much less busy than before and you have to time to check out the different session. Overall, it is a must see when you are in Amsterdam

You need tickets far in advance. We bought our tickets almost two months before we went on vacation, and maybe seventy percent were already taken but it's well worth it. It was very moving and so tragic.

Anne Franks House is a great place to visit if you are a fan of history or have read the Anne Frank Story. It is very sad place to visit, there is a lot of stairs to walk up and it is very steep going up to Anne franks home at the top, just something to keep in mind but it’s definitely worth it. The staff are great and very helpful.

Prior to leaving on our trip to Amsterdam we purchased tickets ahead of time. We signed up for the tour and it was information and the speaker did an exceptional job of telling the history of Anne Frank, her family and helpers. Anne Frank represents the strength of a Jewis woman. Let her words last forever. Her memory is a blessing

What can I say .... Very interesting but very very sad at the same time.... one of my daughters had this in history at school so we decided to take her there to see it live....Afterwards I was asked loads of questions.... it definitely left a impression. There is a Audio guide in many different languages so don't worry if you don't speak the lingo.I wish everyone a nice trip to Amsterdam and a visit in the Anna frank house.oh nearly forgot there is a beautiful little shop at the end of the tour.

Photos are not allowed inside the house, but the museum is self-paced with headsets that are triggered in each room. We took just under 2 hours to go through. Each room explains a part of the journey the Frank family took from leaving Germany, to having to go into hiding in Amsterdam for 2 years, to being arrested and sent to the camps just as liberation was on the horizon. Very nicely done. We appreciated the opportunity to see this part history. You really must buy tickets in advance as they sell out quite quickly.

I've always wanted to see Anne Frank's House and finally got there for my 60th Birthday. My husband and I went fir a visit at 17:30 we listened to the talk first of all. There's a cloakroom there so you can ditch coats and bags it's free. You can only take photos in the reception and room where we had the introduction. No photos in the house. It was very moving and sad to see how they all lived in such a small space. Even though Otto Frank asked for no furniture in the rooms you can get a good idea of the lack of privacy they all had. You are hereded through and there's not much time to stop. However it was a an interesting visit highly recommend.

What an incredible & emotional journey you go through visiting this museum. We visited Amsterdam for the day & this was the only thing we really wanted to do. Visiting in Jan was perfect as we did not pre-purchase tickets at all (which typically you have to do) & It was not busy, so you could actually absorb the intensity of the museum & not feel rushed or crowded. We arrived at 1830 & had tickets for the 1900 entrance time & we purchased at that moment online. (All purchases are online only) If you know when you will be there, definitely purchase in advance but if you're not sure & you are visiting during the off season, then you can purchase when you get around that area. Definitely take your time walking around & make this a 'must do' if you find yourself in Amsterdam. You will not regret it. Then, go around the corner to visit the statue of Anne Frank, as seen in these photos.
