The room was visibly dirty and smelly of mold. It says there is no lift but the stairs are not safe, they are very narrow and super hard to climb up especially with a baby. But that was nothing compared to when it started raining and the room was leaking water in. The water was orange and dirty and smelly. Absolutely terrible. That was the first of three nights. Because it was fully booked they gave me a refund for half the night and the following two. They should have given a full refund but I was scared to ask only so that they don't try to accommodate us in a different room somehow and we had to endure any more of that terrible hotel. Other than this experience the room had steps in the middle of it, making it a hazard for adults and children. The location is central but very noisy and not friendly for families at all. Overall I have nothing positive to say other than I only stayed one night luckily. And it's not like it was cheap!!! It was actually very expensive for what it offered. I ended up staying at a 4* hotel for the next two nights at the same price if not cheaper and not too far from the centre. My advice is to avoid it! Definitely not 3*!

To whom it may concern. Can I start by saying that the staff were lovely. However, regrettably, I cannot recommend this hotel. The owners of the hotel should have more respect for their guests, they had construction workers the whole time I was there painting, shouting, making noise, woke me up 7am daily including Sundays. It would be expected that this would be done before summer peak season, but apparently not. I wasn't the only hotel guest that I met who complained about this, its quite unacceptable. The room was 175 euro per night, the rooms are too small, there is no elevator, and no amenities in the room such as a mini fridge to keep water cold, overall, I don't consider this good value for money, and I wouldn't book again, there is much better value for money in amsterdam.

Rooms are extremely small and basic. Fire alarm went off twice when we were there. Overall not worth it for how expensive it was, it was more like a hostel than a hotel.

Location is very central, however it was raining and after midnight our room was leaking with water. The ceiling was full of water. We weren't given any compensation but we were given refund for the rest of the days and booked another hotel in the area. Also, there is no lift so If you are travelling with small kids avoid this hotel. The stairs are quite steep.

Even though the staffs were friendly, they were not helpful after we checked in. The room is small and not clean. The bathroom was left unclean during our stay. It is located in the center of the city but quite far from the central station, and NO elevator. I would not recommend for travelers who travel with a suitcase. We got only ready-made cupcakes for breakfast, NO any other food. So, do not expect anything from "breakfast included"! The windows are not sound proof, so it's loud at night and can easily disturb our sleep. We can also hear the guests next door. Overall, we stayed in 3 hotels in the city center during the trip in Amsterdam (similar prices, same stars), this one could not compare to others.

We booked a room with front street view. We were given a different room. This already is unacceptable and unprofessional. The window showed a 2 meter square cemented floor, that was all the view, its like looking into a closet. It was filled with garbage and slime. Inside the room, the floor was dirty. Bathroom was dirty. Sink was tiny. Shower madethe whole toilet and half the room wet. Breakfast should have been included, but was not available. Extremely overpriced for such an experience. I have stayed in Amsterdam many times in different hotels around the same vicinity. I highly recommend trying other places. This was my last time here.

Great hotel on a budget. Set expectations, room are small, but clean, comfortable, and good value. Location is great, central, good hub to explore. However, it’s close to the red light district. Lots of people traffic, can be noisy into the early hours. Found the staff to be friendly and easy going.

Good place to stay in central Amsterdam. Stayed here recently with friends and we had a great trip. It is a little noisy with it being on a very busy road at night, and found it quite hot in the rooms but other than that it was spot on. Pizza place connected to the hotel was great too.

It’s one of the worse hotel, never think of ever come and stay here. We booked a three room via agoda and they did not stated that they have no air conditional. Yes we paid a prenium and there is no aircon for a four star hotel? I had never once see hotel treating us like this without refund despite multiple attempt to contact agoda about it but their management literally lied to agoda stating that they have aircon, since they are four star hotel , and since we stayed? < I REPEAT THEY DO NOT HAVE AND THEY LIE> they only have mini fan , and we only check in for four hours and we literally book another hotel straight away so we check out on that day! ( we only put our luggages for four fours) There is flight of very steep stairs up the room , so good luck to those who have to carry their luggage as they not gonan help and there’s no lift, and the room smell musky and old especially the toilet . this place management is a scam , i repeat ! Especially if you are asian or Chinese ! The location is good but the service are fake . I read the bottom reviews stating that on the last day of your stay some people met some robbers even in your safe deposit box so we are scared as well.

Great location, room was spacious and clean, a little noisy outside at night (but you are in the heart of the city), staff was very helpful both on arrival and departure. We left our bags in a very crowded closet, but it worked. Breakfast was at another location and was excellent. (about a 10 minute walk). Steep stairs, as you would expect in a older building downtown. We stayed in the "other building". Needed a 3 bed, room, so we got one with a great view of the street.

At the center of the Dam Square. Easy access to the metro. Room was fine, breakfast was not bad but could be better. Staff were very friendly. Price was reasonable.

Was an okay hotel. The best thing about it was the location. Very loud at night time. No lifts lots of stairs. So if you are baked af. You will be sober when you reach your room.

The hotel is in an older location. You don't have elevators. But, the hotel is clean, and it is located center. The services are good. But I didn't like bringing my heavy luggage 4 stores on very small staircases.

I stayed here from 12-15th. I emailed the hotel before I arrived to request a taxi from the airport (I did not realize there are plenty of taxis that collect you from outside the airport). When I arrived in Amsterdam I called to see if the taxi had been booked and I spoke to the manager who was extremely rude, told me that they did not know who I was and told me I wasn't staying at their hotel and bluntly told me to get a taxi from outside the airport. This should have been a foreshadowing of what was to come. I arrived at the hotel I was welcomed to a view of scaffolding covering the front of the hotel. We were splashed with water from the building work that was on going as we entered the hotel. We entered and there were hose pipes going through the hotel. The manager apologized and offered a free drink for being rude over the phone which was somewhat nice. The first morning we woke up at 8am to building work going on outside our window. Trying to sleep through it is impossible as the work going on was too loud, understandable because it was going on literally outside my window. I laid there naked in bed, and made eye contact with a building worker who laughed and probably thought "imagine paying money to stay at that hotel". Due to the noise the room was pretty much unusable from 8-5pm. I probably should have cancelled and found a different hotel but most hotels were booked up in the middle of summer and the stress of finding a hotel during what was supposed to be a relaxing holiday filled me with dread. This repeated every day 8am-5pm. The room was unusable and not fit for purpose. After we arrived home I called the hotel to express frustration and manager was extremely rude, spoke over me and did not do anything to resolve the issue. The manager himself even admitted he would not stay at the hotel. After a brief conversation the manager put the phone down on me and then would not answer the phone. I hope if anyone stays there they do not have any problems because the manager is extremely rude and will not help you.

Because of its perfect location, it comes with disadvantages. The bed was really comfy, everything else in the hotel and room was small but worth it in amsterdam.

Not even worth a star , is a total scam, total false advertising from its picture .While on agoda they are being ambiguous aircon Facilities. When we got there , there’s a heat wave in Europe and I read people been asking feedback to improve their facilities. They only provide 3 palm size fan ?? The hotel is located right at red light zone is impossible to even open window at night as is really warm. This place shouldn’t even operate hotel at all, is impossible for anyone to stay there. Moreover the toilet have musky smell which is horrible. There no lift and if you have big luggage don’t even bother as is tiny to climb up. We check out immediately and they don’t even want refuse to refund despite we never stayed there. Very lousy service. πŸ‘ŽπŸ»πŸ‘ŽπŸ»πŸ‘ŽπŸ»πŸ‘ŽπŸ»πŸ‘ŽπŸ»πŸ‘ŽπŸ»πŸ‘ŽπŸ»πŸ‘ŽπŸ»πŸ‘ŽπŸ»πŸ‘ŽπŸ»πŸ‘ŽπŸ» Worse hotel ever been to

Worst hotel experience ever. The Room is clean and location is great but , The walls are extremely thin, I woke up with earplugs like 50 times. there were 3 ventilation systems in front directly of my window which are extremely loud. It was really not warm today, 19Β°, but it's extremely stuffy in the hotel.

Such an ideal hotel. There’s a luggage storage room, friendly staff. The bed we had during our stay was really comfy. Ideally located next to Dam square. Couldn’t have asked for a better hotel for our stay, thank you so much!

Very noisy. Small rooms. No facilities. But cheap for being central. I was being cheap on a business trip. Fir that, it was a mistake. If you just need to crash it is a better fit. Nice staff though.

Staff are really lovely. Rooms are really nice. The breakfast was just muffins but that due to covid. They're alot of stair in hotel. Its in the middle of amsterdam you're only 15 minute walk to main attractions. Definitely recommend staying here.

I was traveling alone and looking for a place right smack in the center of town. It was close to everything including the dam square, the palace and other attractions. Food was really accessible being that the entire street is lined with places to eat. I tried at least six of the locations on the street and enjoyed each experience. The room I had was really small and would really only be suitable for a couple or a single person traveling. The shower was small and my knees actually pressed up against the wall when using the restroom so very small compared to what I'm used to. That said, the price was right and the location was fantastic. The staff were very nice and my room was cleaned everyday.

Fantastic hotel to stay in, couldn’t get a more central location, right in Dam square, rooms are modern, clean and well equipped, they aren’t big rooms but plenty of space for what’s required. Stairs to the rooms are steep and narrow but manageable. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Amsterdam.
