Good place for music lovers. Not that recommended for food because of their less servings but the performances there are worth attending. Plus their location at next to sea gives it more exotic. It makes the environment cozy and intimate. If you wish to have dinner than you might want to reach there earlier. Perfect place for live music performances. It is really recommended for tourists and music lovers though. Have a visit at least for photography purpose.

This was recommended to me by a server at a restaurant I went to before. On Tuesday nights, if you have nothing else to do, come to Bimhuis! You get to listen to free jazz jam sessions by future great musicians at the bar and concert hall attached to Amsterdam’s conservatory. The views and vibes are immaculate and the performances legendary.

Jazz restaurant where you get close-up encounter with the jazz musicians. Moreover, you can see them perform right over the city of Amsterdam.

By far my favourite music venue that I've been to. Our ticckets included free drinks reception. Perfect location to see the sunset over the river during the interval. very lovely performers and audience.

The vibe is just right. Intimate. With a great view of the city. They always have the most interesting music here. You won't hear pop. Expect all sorts of jazz, fusion, and avant garde music. The bar serves a good selection of beers, wines, and spirits. They can also make cocktails, and there are plenty of non-alcoholic drinks. The crowd is a bit older and more refined than what you'd find at the Melkweg.

Love the set up in their halls and on stages. The view from the top at sunset is simply beautiful while having a drink. The stairs though...aarrhh

The Bimhuis is my favourite venue worldwide! I love the fact you can see the city behind the performers and can get seats around a metre away from pretty famous jazz musicians. The seats are comfortable, and it always feels closer to a 'huiskamer' or house concert than other venues. The choice of world music and musicians from Iran, Mali and elsewhere also makes The Bimhuis a fantastic place to visit

we went to the free jazz concert on Tuesday and it was amazing! Totally recommended. Would advice to be early so you can sit on the tables, it gets packed. The place is great and the music even better.

World class jazz on Tuesdays, I couldn't believe they were undergrad students, really impressive and inspired playing from a wide range of very talented musicians.

Went to the Tuesday night jam session, what a great vibe! Locals played a mix of original and standard tunes; this was followed by an open jam session where any individual/group could go on stage and play / improv Love the view from the building itself too

Good location for a conference. Good food and facilities. 10 minute walk from the station.

Do not go without reservation!!!! I give 3 stars because I have not gone to a concert there, nor have we eaten..... but the attention puts the place a little dawn... Yesterday we went to a concert in Muziekgebouw, great! But in the end, we wanted to eat something and because Google Maps says that they open on Sundays at 18:00 we went but they told us that we should wait, so we did, and when we returned, the kind receptionists asked us if we had a reservation and since we didn't, they couldn't give us a place to eat, just a drink. The people who attended us before should have told us that we required a reservation, otherwise we would not have waited!!!! They should improve the customer service

A very intimate venue for seeing any music event, this is a unique place you'll remember. Great lighting, lounge style tables and good drinks. The Bimhuis keeps a balance of swanky cool that is also elevated, a little formal. It's the perfect frame for enjoying your favorite performances. Breathtaking views, wonderful architecture, excellent sound. Do not miss a chance to see a show here.

Awesome Location for a Business Conference. Was here for the "Arista Innovate" and everthing was great. Food and drinks, speedy service, everything was clean. And a great Oceanview outside.

small cozy place, with good acoustics. I had gone to a jazz jam session, and it was very impressive. Very reachable from the Amsterdam Central station, and has a pretty good walk score as well. Highly recommended!

Bimhuis is an excellent venue that brings together great artists. It feels intimate and cosy and makes you feel at home when enjoying the grooves with a glass of wine or cold beer.

Wow, if you are a music lover you have to take part once in a Bimhuis concert. The acoustic is great and the space its perfectly made for music. Highly recommend it. They have a nice bar with anise panorama near the concert hall. Easy to access it from Amsterdam Central.

One of the most famous Jazz lover place at the top floor. Beautiful view on the sea. Close to Central Station.
