Great hotel for transit or stop over for 1-2nights before flying out. Sexy bedroom equipped with high tech light and media control. Check in is easy and smooth. 4min walk to supermarket at the airport.

There is nothing to complain about. Everything was absolutely amazing. To begin with, staff were awesome. Lea was extremely helpful and friendly. She offered all possible help to make me feel home. Room is clean and suitable for short stay. The food is decent. This hotel is ideal if you have a transit and need a place to relax or sleep.

Great hotel with lovely staff very close to Schiphol Airport. I loved that I could sit in bed and watch the planes. I also loved the great 'living room' public spaces. Only thing I did not like was not having a kettle in the room. I would rather have had that than the funky lighting!

Walkable distance to the Schiphol Airport. Great option if you have an early flight. Wonderful amenities, cool design and fantastic technologies. All room features are manageable via the iPad provided. Very spacious. I had a great night stay and rested well prior to my flight.

My wife and I stayed over with my daughter when we had a layover in Amsterdam earlier this week. CitizenM is an easy 4 - 5 minute walk as you walk out of the airport and turn to the right. Check in was easy and fully automated with people on hand to help if we got stuck. The rooms were perfect for a one night sleep over. We ordered food from the bar late at night and it was quick and delicious. The whole experience was just wonderful and I would highly recommend it for any layover at Schiphol airport.

Form over function I think would best describe this hotel. It's very nice to look at and quite comfortable too but I feel like the design choices and spaces in communal area would not be for people who like their personal space! All in all I quite like it though and would recommend if staying overnight for a connector flight or something. Otherwise I imagine there are more comfortable and private places at more reasonable prices further in town.

It's a pod hotel, purpose built for layovers and short-term sightseeing, in that regard it's better than sleeping in the terminal. Okay for a day, however there is zero privacy if staying as a couple. We're talking eye-contact from the bed to the toilet kind of intimate. Short walk to Schiphol and the train station, rooms are quiet. The room is controlled by a tablet, which makes it unnecessarily complicated to close the blinds.

I landed early in the morning (7am) and was able to check in early by paying about 30€. I didn’t mind paying as I really wanted a shower and a rest. Room has a weird layout - toilet and shower were in weird glass booths. Not a problem for me as I was by myself. No way would this be comfortable if I was with my wife. Other than that weirdness, the bed was very comfortable, the room was quiet and the technology worked well. Highly recommend if you’re by yourself. Very close to airport and the path is covered.

Stayed for two nights - the location was ideal, just minutes from Schiphol Airport, and a quick 20-minute train ride to Amsterdam Central Station. The staff was fantastic, from check-in to check-out, and the bar tenders at the canteen were also impressive. The room was satisfactory, the bed was superb, and the ability to control features with an iPad or their phone app was a cool touch! Would definitely come back.

We spent the night at Citizen M while transiting through Amsterdam. From start to finish we had a wonderful stay...much more memorable than you'd expect from a transit visit in an airport hotel. The hotel is a short walk from the terminal and brilliantly designed for comfort and convenience. The compact rooms take nothing away from the experience. Without exception, the staff were welcoming and accommodating. The hotel is spotless, beds are comfy and shower is a great. It's worth requesting a room with a view of the runway, especially if you want to keep kids entertained for hours :) We will be adding Citizen M to our list of great travel tools and services.

Location is excellent, I needed to leave the room 10 minutes before getting the airport by walking. Technology used at the room is very nice. The decorations and room design are very nice too, but the room size is really small, I didn't like the available space at all, it is necessary to keep both, shower and toilet doors open to have a free space to walk within the room freely. Everything else is premium.

This is based on the Japanese concept of Pods. Not my thing. If you are not used to hearing your partner's toilet noises. Then I would avoid it. They have an iPad that controls functions (TV, blinds etc). It's a gimmick not in my mind adding value. Only good thing is that it is close to the airport. Some like these types of accommodation, for a single person great however, not for a couple and definitely only one or two days stay at the max.

Rooms were clean and loved the compactness and the location. Ideal place to stay when having to stay the night near Schiphol. Prices for the restaurant are a bit high and the selection isn't great. Also, tables were not being cleaned. You are probably better off getting a salad or a bite from the Albert Heijn on your way out of the airport building to the hotel. Check in was great and staff were helpful. Will come back again if I have to stay near Schiphol Airport again

Does what it's supposed to do. Airport Hotel. Beds are fantastic, the toilet situation is the opposite. Walkable distance from Schiphol airport, but didn't hear a single airplane. Most service is computerized, which isn't bad but isn't really amazing as well.

Make sure to properly check pictures of the rooms at this hotel before booking. Highly overpriced for the “cell” you will be put in with ridiculous toilet and shower pods. The hi-tec setup (you get to control lights, ac and blinds with a tablet) does not make up for the utter claustrophobic feel of the room. Would never stay at this hotel again.

Always a nice stay. Its giving star trek vibes in a good way. Everything was in good condition. They don't take cash so that's annoying buts it's increasingly common sadly. Othetwise an excellent hotel and the staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!

Excellent stay...very modern vibe and super efficient rooms. Do yourself a favor and pay for the breakfast ahead of time...it's worth it! Buffet style breakfast with everything from eggs and bacon to fresh fruit; great way to start the day. Loved the ability to control the lights and shades with an iPad. Literally a half block walk to the airport with a covered walk in case it's raining (which is very likely in Amsterdam).

Great interior design, buzzy atmosphere, and fantastic staff. Common spaces are both functional and beautiful. But the rooms are too small and feel cramped for two people. The bathroom/toilet arrangement leaves no privacy and is ugly - I have seen better in a ferry cabin. A missed opportunity as the hotel is otherwise excellent and better than one would expect in an airport.

Stayed for 1 night due to flight cancellation. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable, huge bed, toiletries were lovely, a decent hairdryer, lots of towels, and great technology. My room faced the busy road but I heard no noise at all so I got a perfect sleep.

Good hotel at an excellent location. It's just a short walk (5-ish minutes) to get to the terminal at Schiphol Airport, so perfect if you're on an early flight. The staff are very friendly, check in and check out are easy, and they have a very decent breakfast. The hotel has been there for over 10 years and some aspects of it are starting to look a little outdated due to the high-tech aspects of their theme (changing the colors of the lights in the room with the tablet isn't as cool anymore as it was ten years ago, but obviously I'm also ten years older now...). I'm still amazed by the sound proofing as you can see the planes but you can't hear them!

Overall, it was a good experience. The hotel was very modern. I was able to check in very early. I had the option of choosing my room with either an airport or city view. The staff were super friendly. The only issue was the room size. The room was very small and there was very little space to walk as the toilet and shower cabins are tightly spaced. I can't compare it to other local hotels, but given the city struggles with accommodation, probably the same for the price.

Was looking for a place to sleep before my extremely early flight. I'm happy I chose this place! Close to the airport, large enough rooms that feel quite luxurious en very friendly staff. The only little "negative" thing I could think about was the absence of small breakfast options like a single croissant or breakfast cookie for the people who need to leave before the official breakfast starts.

Hands down the best experience we have had at a hotel. Flight got cancelled, so our booking was super last minute. A relatively short wallimg distance to the airport terminals. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, we even managed to watch the last race of the Formula One season in one of the conference rooms. Menu prices are reasonable, the rooms even though having a rather interesting layout had all the things you'd need. We also got the rooms overlooking the apron,so that was an additional perk.

Very convenient location, a short walk to the airport terminal - around 5 minutes. Self check-in and check-out available. The restaurant/bar is open till late. Rooms are basic, but clean and functional.

Great hotel to stay at if you need to get a early flight. It is a self check in but there is some one to help too. Lovely lounges on bottom floor. Restaurant has a wide spread to choose from. Everything is effortlessly run by wonderful staff. Less than 10 Min walk to departure hall. Take a trolley if you have lots of luggage.

A great concept feels like still getting kinks ironed out. Service attitude is great positive and friendly. Rooms are very small, so really for commuting. Examples of little problems, our first room allocated had not been cleaned, our second needed a shoulder charge to open the door. Rooms were quiet we did not here any sounds of the airport

Hotel located next to airport, at walking distance. Friendly, child attentive and very helpful staff at check in, check out and everything in between, from ordering food, to storing luggage, or using the computer room. Our stay was unplanned but the staff and commodities made things much better. Interactive room (perfect to entertain the kids), tiny but cozy and surprisingly with a super large bed. Food was great but with limited choices, especially for the kids. Loved the Interior design of the hotel: modern and engaging. Loved our stay, will definitely plan another stay at CitizenM in future.

Small but very well appointed room, massive "living room" area (common area) with loads of comfortable seating, nice bar with good cocktails. Loved all the tech, they have an app to control everything fr your phone! Super cool!

It was an interesting experience. We spent here only one night as we arrived by plane and left by car the next day. The location is perfect if you don’t want to see Amsterdam but you need an accommodation right at the airport. The check in without a normal reception (online terminals) is unusual but after a very (a bit weirdly) kind young lady explained us everything, we got our room. It was clean, but looked like a capsule. The design is futuristic. Heating, lights, curtains are controlled by a tablet. If you want to eat or drink something, you have to consume everything in your room…brave new world with COVID…anyhow, the pizza and the beer were good.

Nice hotel with modern but small rooms. Breakfast was good. 24 hours food is a good thing but the choices are a bit limited. Gentle staff. Modern functionality. Clean and quite warm.

What a fantastic place to stay. You feel immediately at home. Great design of rooms and lobby. Very friendly personnel leaving us a message when my son had to play a tennis tournament and stayed at the hotel before the flight.

Good location related to the airport. Modern design of the rooms and other facilities. Great service from the staff. Restaurant food is a bit of disappointment, not high quality (it is just ok level) and not large portions, but expensive.

Nice hotel at 500 meters from the airport. Everything was connected with a tablet (lights, temperatures...). You can either choose a view on the airport or the office and even select upper floor or lower one's. The breakfast was ok but couldn't enjoy much because of the COVID situation. There was no toothpaste provided in the room.

Very much like hotels in Japan in the 90s. Room width is the length of a king bed. Clean, efficient, quiet. Modern conveniences. Food was surprisingly good. Served hot, good serving size, and flavorful. Shower was excellent with great towels. Perfect for a layover before flying.

Excellent hotel, very nice, comfortable and cosy hotel room. Every small details in the room it s just thought about giving the best experience to the customer. Breakfast was good, good choice in quality and everything was tasty. Fresh orange juice, and the touch of some oranges in the fresh water was top! Check out via computer made also the operation quick and very efficient. Very nice staying for a very comfortable hotel room.

Rooms are not big, but very clean and comfortable. They have a smart room system, which is cool. Metro is only 1 min away, tram and bus station is in front, so very easy to go around. Breakfast is excellent. Lunch and dinner menu is so so, but still OK.

Great for a night while travelling through Amsterdam but not a place I'd choose for an extended stay. Rooms are "compact", i.e. small, but will do perfectly for a night. My elderly parents would have hated it though - the hotel is all about efficiency and use of technology, and rather devoid of human touch. Can't fault the staff in any way, and the food was surprisingly good. Would choose again for an overnight trip.

Fantastic hotel. Mere steps from Schipol airport and train station. Self check in so you don’t have to speak to a soul. The staff is extremely chill and friendly tho if you do need assistance. 24/7 food drink and coffee. Small efficient rooms with everything you might need and nothing you don’t. Big windows- choose airport view for great runway action! Food is fast easy and delicious. Amazing breakfast buffet to fill up before your journey, breakfast is an extra fee tho. Can’t say enough about this hotel I wish all were like this.

Great staff, good food great convenient location. Rooms are weird, Toilet and shower are located in the bedroom not separately in an ensuite. They have glass around them which I think was dangerous if you weren't very careful. Also afforded no privacy for a couple. Bed was wedged under a window and person two had to climb over person one to get into bed! Totally ridiculous. The whole hotel is run 'smart' using a tablet computer in the room which controlled pretty much all facilities. It's a novelty and not particularly successful. I touched the window blind button by accident, instead of light dimmer as I climbed into bed and it started a nasty grinding noise as it started to rise. This woke my partner who was already asleep. Having said that the bed was comfortable, the staff were accommodating and the hotel overall a pleasure to stay in. We were only there because our flights were cancelled by the airport due to lack if security staff.

I travel in the US every other week and im always in hotels. I was in Europe for a total of 10 days, stayed in 5 different hotels. Overall, this was the best hotel i think i have ever stayed in. The check in was self serve which was nice and you are able to pick what floor you want on (high or low). The rooms are really awesome setup, i loved the big bed and i loved the light features. i also loved that i could stream from my phone to the TV to watch my shows. The bar food is also really good and the customer service was top notch. 10/10 recommend staying here!

Alright this is my FIRST TIME EVER that i write a review and rating. But the people who work in this hotel really deserve it. First of all regarding the room, they are convenient, clean and you have everything you need. For the food everything is really tasty, the breakfast is very good. AND THE PEOPLE, well everyone there paid attention to you they help you and assist you with everything possible and they are just nice so i heavily recommend this please !!!!!

Walking distance to the airport. Room is small but perfect for a short stay before a flight. Having a disco party for an alarm clock with the built in LED lighting for the shower was truly a once in a lifetime experience. Great food and beer options.

This was new hotel and very clean. The staff here was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms, however are interesting. This is a perfect room for one or two nights probably not more than that due to the fact that there’s not a ton elbow room.

Know what you're getting into: this is a solo travelers delight but for a middle-aged couple then know what you're getting into. Mostly understand the employees are the most helpful and welcoming hotel employees we have come upon. The rooms are very clean. These helpful employees and the absolutely amazing breakfast is the reason for the high rating. It happened that we were there during a heat wave and the air conditioning is not equivalent to what we would call air conditioning in the United States. The hotel air conditioner more or less leaked a little bit of cool air which was not sufficient to meet the demands of the very large room window even with the dark shade pulled. Even though the air conditioner can be turned down then it is not ever going to blow heavily in your room and it's really managed by management eco settings. We were finally moved to a even numbered room which was on the shadier side of the building. This was much nicer because it was also an updated room with the shower and toilet combined insert. Our prior room had a commode tube. And a separate tube that the shower was located within in. Both tubes were not very modest. There is a hospital curtain that separates the bed from the tubes but it is very thin and provides very limited additional privacy. Also the bed is higher off the ground in the end of the hotel room built in so that the person by the window has to climb over the other occupant to get off the bed. Don't get me wrong because there were lots of good things such as the employees who were super helpful and friendly. The downstairs is amazing with lots of areas for working and hanging out. People can also reserve any of their conference rooms. It is a business travelers Paradise. The hotel location is phenomenal for reaching transportation. We took several day trips to different countries. Most of the walking distance to the airport is covered. The location is very safe. I would not hesitate staying here alone as a woman. We never heard airplane noise even though we were right at the airport. We never had to rent a car. We grocery shopped at the airport which was pretty close to a small mall. In the bed and bedding were super comfortable. I would absolutely stay there again as long as I was in one of the updated rooms on the cooler side of the building and I would probably bring a little travel fan.
