Absolutely wonderful spa asides from a woman who works reception with a Karen Bob of a haircut who is entirely rude mannered. I 100% felt she was discriminating against me as of a few piercings in my face, shaved head, maybe also as I was speaking English. Was checked in by nice staff and then rudely called back by this woman who abruptly told me to wait and kept putting her finger up at me as if to you would tell a dog to wait. As of this issue I felt completely unrelaxed the whole day in the spa itself, and even on my birthday. I do wish to book again but afraid this woman will ruin my day again..

Lovely hotel, lovely spa. I am a regular visitor of the spa, enjoying my day there. The pouring that is done there is really enjoyable. Everything is well maintained! All staff in the spa itself are super friendly and helpful. But.... If you ever have any problems and you need help from the employees at the reception, well then goodluck to you. Miss Zuiver that is how she calls herself(how ironic) but her name is actually Emmy. Emmy is an employee who works at the reception and is to say the least not keen to help customers whenever they have a question or whenever something went wrong. I really do not know why she works there if she does not want to help customers out. Such a Spa needs professionals not antisocials who think that they can wimple customers of because it costs them energy to help. It is really a shame because the ones who get in contact with Emmy will think twice to ever pay a visit to such a spa again.

The spa is ok, and the restaurant, bar and our room seemed to be recently renovated, which was good. However, their approach to pricing is outrageous. We had to pay extra to park in the hotel car park, we were only given one towel and one robe each, which after using the spa were wet, so we had no fresh towels for our showers in the morning - those would cost extra. Also, using the pool for a quick swim before breakfast would have cost us an extra €50 each. There seemed to be absolutely nothing included in the price of the superior room to make it worthwhile. It was unreasonably expensive, which left us feeling ripped off; not how you want to feel when you're trying to relax and unwind.

This is by far my favorite Spa in the Netherlands and I have been coming here for years. From Friday to Monday (naked days) it’s absolutely a 5 out of 5! However we just experienced our first bikini day and it was horrible… avoid at all cost! Normally it’s quiet, everybody keeps to themselves and there’s a relaxed atmosphere. On bikini day it attracts a very different crowd and we didn’t feel comfortable at all. They (e.g., the men) were loud, staring at my girlfriend (and other women), rude, there were couples making out etc. If I wasn’t there my girlfriend would have walked out within 10 minutes because she would not have felt safe. I felt like speaking up a few times but reconsidered as these were the type of guys to pick a fight. I guess that’s why there was security walking around, which I never saw on the “regular” days. Again… I love this place, just avoid the bikini days and you’re good. Therefore I gave it a 4 out of 5.

Very upset with the price increase of 20% in the spa. 10 times card is gone up from 245eur to 295eur. They say it's due to corona but they get benefits from the government and instead of them adjusting, they make it pay to the clients.

I don’t write reviews, but I was so disappointed in this place that I have to share as I can’t understand how they continue to run as a business from their photos you think they’re a luxury spa like a lot of similar thermal spa’s all over the world, but walking in right away the service I was greeted with was rude and unfriendly and cold Walking into the spot itself. It was cheap, looking and feeling . Definitely not the cozy feeling you want for spa once in the spa, I found that most of the waters were cold. Even the hot tub was probably lukewarm. I am better taking a bath at home there was a smoking area! this to me is the worst offense how can you have an outdoor smoking area at a wellness spa? I go to a spa to get away from being around cigarette smoke So anytime I was outside all I could smell was cigarette smoke and seems to be more of a place of a party scene there is no quiet, no peace and nobody in forcing the quiet rules. Especially for the price this place is really terrible. It feels dirty and cheap and the fact that you also have to rent a towel and it’s not included in the price of both the water spa and the fact that I also was getting a massage is completely disappointing. I’m so sad that this place isn’t lovely as I was looking forward to having a sanctuary during winter in Amsterdam. Please do better spa zuiver

Often do spa days here with friends. Well equipped, tidy and well managed.... however The main pool seems to be getting colder and colder, this time it was too cold to relax in, I think there's some cost cutting going on when it comes to heating. The outside jacuzzi was just warm enough. Only 2 of the saunas are getting up to a decent heat. The date night deal is really good value for money. But avoid the steak, it tastes really grey. Rest of the for and cocktails were solid

Had a relaxing stay in hotel & spa. Spa offers variety of facilities and is comfortable to visit, we enjoyed that no attractions were too crowded and we always found a spot to explore each facility. There are changing rooms and lockers, and shower provides washing gel. Since we also booked a hotel, bathrobes and towels were provided. Going only for SPA one should be mindful to bring their own sandals, towels, and bathrobe - otherwise it is available for rent. Rooms were well decorated with a great forest view, one minus point is because there are not shower door/curtain, which creates cold air circulation when having a warm shower.

I liked the spa a lot, we had a great time, in all saunas, steam rooms and available facilities. I wish, however, that there were also English descriptions outside of each room, aside of only Dutch ones. There were many international guests along with us, who didn't understand what those detailed instructions are. Overall, good experience

I am a frequent customer of this sauna. Got an email that for my birthday I get 50% discount and I have booked a reservering with 50% discount for both myself and my wife. But then the day of the reservation when we wanted to go in, customer service told me you can only use this reservation in your exact birth date or during that week and not now that one week passed your birth date. However, this was not written in the email nor in their website when I was doing the reservation. After half an hour discussion with the person and her manager, finally they gave me an entree with discount but not for my wife. It is not about money. It is about respecting your customer. Even if the customer make a mistake, which was not in my case, you should be flexible enough to make your customer happy, and not behave in a way that you catch a thief!!!! Very poor customer support

I went a few months ago and it was an enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, I can never go here on weekends because I prefer to wear a bathing suit while swimming. Furthermore, on the website they happily announce that they've removed the energy cost while raising the standard price by 9%.

It's a very nice place, I really liked the middle pool which has access to the outdoor pool. Also outdoor jacuzzi and saunas are nice, accessible in winter too. The only thing I really didn't like about this spa is that, if you go by your own car, the parking of the spa costs 3 euro per hr which is a bit weird, that if you're the clients of the spa, why would you pay for the parking! didn't see this in other spas. So if you're planning to go for whole day, the parking cost gonna be the same as ticket to go to spa for one person.

Make sure to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a place. They compare hundreds of hotel sites and normally will have rates a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later! This place is the best rated in this area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you definitely won't be disappointed. The spa is the best, the gym is very good, and the hotel rooms are pretty good. The people who work there are beyond lovely, particularly Kim at the front desk, who is friendly, competent, and incredibly helpful. Also, underrated is the surrounding area for runners. Just a beautiful area.

Very busy spa with poor sound insulation. The saunas are noisy and crowded. Waiters are not speaking Dutch. The hotel was an even worse experience. The rooms are very noisy poorly equipped and the beds suck. The breakfast was nit to bad. A small selection was offered. Somebody thought it was a good idea to put stylish blue lights over the breakfast so good luck figuring out what you are picking cause you can’t see any colours due to the blue lightning.

The spa itself is beautiful and very nice but I had a less good service experience were I did not feel any empathy nor effort from the staff helping me when I was experiencing issues with one of my bookings (what seemed to be a system error from their side) and when we were having a payment issue when leaving. I found the staff unfriendly. The customer service can definitely be improved here.

We couldn't have found a more tranquil oasis on the outskirts of Amsterdam. Our stay here was blissfully. The relaxing massage I booked in the spa was one of the best I have ever had. As for the spa, the facilities were first class. It was immaculately clean and the environment created allowed for the perfect unwind. What a fabulous find, an amazing stay and a great team of people who made it perfect. We are already planning our return.

Prices on the website did not match what's been charged and reception did not honor the error. Typical from a place where customer service is never a priority. It was the period that it was nice to come to SPA Zuiver nowadays it leaves a lot to be desired.

Hotel: Don’t stay here if you’re expecting some luxury experience. For the price of Hotel Room per night you can find much better options. There were some tiny flies in the floor carpet(and a lot of them!), so if you absolutely have to stay there make sure you wear shoes at all times. Hotel here has only purpose of allowing you to use the Sauna/Swimming facilities until late & to take a walk in Amsterdamse Bos park in the morning. Breakfast: Terrible, just not worth it. Cheese was dried out, Prosciutto bad quality, scrambled eggs where mixed with water and milk to the point where the taste was completely gone. Mix of fruits seemed to have been there for a few days. Hot stone massage: amazing! 25min was quite short time, but they did not have any other availability, would suggest to book a week or two earlier before arrival. Sauna/Swimming Pool: If you’re young and woman do not go there on usual no swimsuit days. There are old disgusting men staring and deliberately getting into pool/jacuzzi when they see you go there. There were disgusting men just walking around not covering themselves from one pool to another, staring at every women possible. Men that showed up there during the day were just staring and looking around, some even following you from sauna to other rooms. Swimming Pool: Big swimming pool is COLD. It’s July 10th and still not hot enough weather outside to enjoy such a cold pool. If you go there swimming there’s a whole audience of people(men) staring at you, at all times! Outdoor small pool/Music Sauna: was quite nice in the evening, during the day some horrible guys try to make sure they get in there at the same time as women just to stare and smile and try to talk to you. It doesn’t matter whether you’re comfortable being around naked people or not, I don’t believe any women enjoys being looked at when they’re trying to relax. Either management has to introduce only women’s days, or at least age range access (per time/day), so that there are no Old disgusting men allowed in at the same time as young people, as they were there clearly just to look around. In the evening all sauna facilities were much better, more couples and normal people were present that don’t stare at you and we could finally relax. I would only suggest people to go there during the evening and on Swimsuit days, to avoid the kind of horrible discomfort we had to experience by being there along with these people that do not know how to act in a public place and are present there only to “enjoy the view”. Very disappointing considering also that it was quite an expensive stay for the services received.

I'd never done a spa/sauna like this before, so I don't have anything to compare it to. I thought I'd be bored after an hour or two, but I ended up staying for 5 hours, hopping between saunas, spas and baths. But what I found most impressive were the "rituals" - guided sauna sessions by a sauna master. These were quite profound and mindful experiences. A perfect soundtrack was selected to accompany a choreographed sequence of intense heat waves summoned by the master - unforgettable. (I didn't stay at the hotel, I only used the spa facility).

Good inventory, offensive customer service. 1. Tough security guys might ask you to leave the place without a logical explanation. I was having a good time in a sauna and a guy from stuff told me that I should leave it because I don’t have a towel - my skin mustn’t touch anything in the sauna because of hygiene perspective (what?). I had a bathrobe and asked why can’t I use it, he answered that I can go to their management with the question. Also he said that he warned me once and the next time he sees me in any sauna with no towel he will require me to leave the entire building. 2. Your personal things disappear from a changing room. I left my shoes under a bench and noticed that they disappeared while I was in spa. I searched the entire room, asked other people with no result. After escalating the case on the reception, they told me that they take away all the stuff from the room to another place to prevent stealing. I asked why don’t they want to inform they customers about this practice and didn’t get an answer. Visiting date 08.08.2023

I wanted to share my thoughts on the maternity massage service my wife received recently. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with our experience. Firstly, despite booking in advance and informing your staff that my wife was in her 36th week of pregnancy, we were surprised to find that the massage table provided didn't have a recess for her belly. It made the whole experience uncomfortable for her as she had to lie on her side without proper support for her growing bump. On top of that, the staff seemed taken aback by the fact that my wife was so far along in her pregnancy, which made us feel like they weren't really clued up on what pregnant women need during massages. To be honest, I would suggest that pregnant women who are looking for a prenatal massage might be better off looking elsewhere, where they can be assured of receiving the care and support they need during this important time. I hope you can take this feedback on board and make some changes to make sure that other pregnant women visiting your spa feel more supported and cared for.

We enjoyed the spa day here! Many types of sauna rooms to choose, I thought we would just stay for two hours and then get bored, but we were there almost 5h and happy! I’d recommend to book a massage as well, very friendly staff and skilled masseurs. Also the restaurant inside the spa was decent and not over-priced! So many things worth compliments! ❤️ the only suggestion is that they could provide more free tabs inside the spa to make sure people are not dehydrated!

I’ve had the privilege to visit quite a few spas over the years and last Monday my daughter and I were kind of ‘forced’ to book here as there wasn’t anywhere else that could accommodate us with the options we wanted. That was the universe guiding us! Lovely place with extremely friendly staff both at the saunas and the restaurant. And about the latter: best food BY FAR compared to similar places. Hat off! We’ll be back :)

This is the review for spa, not the first time here. This time booked 2x hot stone massage treatment together with spa entrance. It happened that transportation delayed us by 20 minutes, than the time I’ve specified at the reservation over the internet. Nothing was in the terms of reservation online about exact treatment timing. Previous times we were booking the massage, timing was determined at reception. So we’re coming and the reception is telling that we still have to pay for half-delivered service in full. This is ridiculous.

Not a good experience. After paying 30€ for entry and 10€ for a bathrobe, we got in a spa with limited ameneties options. It can also get pretty crowded. On top of that, they charged us 9€ for a literal piece of bread with more dip than necessary to go with it - food prices are exaggerated! There are definitely better options for spa days out there.

I come here for fitness and to relax. It is the best value for money in Amsterdam. High price if you come only once, but they have excellent value-for-money subscriptions. The fitness is fantastic, with groups classes well suited for office work, with lots of parking nearby (sometimes free around the Amsterdamse Bos). High tech fitness, all app based, which helps with tracking and guidance. Wellness is nude, when you enter a sauna or pool, otherwise bathrobe is a must (most of the days). No phones allowed, so no photos. Full luxury, with excellent saunas / sauna sessions other sessions and baths.

Had the most amazing spa day! The place was huge, tons of saunas, and hot tubs galore. Outdoor area? A total highlight. The scented sessions were a dream! Everything was awesome, but let's talk about the staff in the restaurant moment… I tried to take a picture of my drink, and they're like, 'Phone in the locker, now!' Seriously,? 🙄 Of course, I didn't bring it during the spa day itself. I was abruptly told to put my phone in the locker immediately, just as the food was being served. A bit odd, but oh well.. Anyway, spa day was a win with a dash of restaurant drama. Keeping it real! 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Fine experience, but couple of small points destroyed the experience. Renting robe and towels is quite pricey, especially when our robes got stolen twice!! And we needed to go all way to reception to get new one and they had none ( as were too many people) Water in the outside pool was cold and not relaxing, same as jacuzzi were not warm enough. Restaurant temperature was also not super comfortable, could have been warmer. Also, in the ladies changing rooms no mirrors. Saunas thou were great experience and nice done, especially the Japanese one. All in all solid 3/5, fine experience for one time yet not for a repeat.

Had a fantastic stay here last week. Staff so incredibly kind, especially our waiter Johnson in the restaurant, he was lovely. The spa facilities are great, so many saunas to choose from! Love the outside facilities aswell. Our room was really nice, a lot of space with mini fridge, drinks, great shower aswell. Continental breakfast was also amazing, can't fault this place if you just want a nice relaxing spa day and comfy hotel night stay!! Will be back

I would give my spa experience at Zuiver a solid 3 out of 5. If it weren’t for the outside area, I would rate my experience at a lower rate. We went there on a bikini day, which was maybe a mistake since the male crowd was quite intimidating. The Japanese and the Finnish saunas were beautifully executed, and we enjoyed the outdoors jacuzzi and the warm pool a lot, as well as the overall variety of amenities available. We didn’t even manage to try all of them because we felt like staying in the sauna for longer. However, the steam room was an absolute disappointment. It gave a feeling of a stuffy fitting room and what’s the most frustrating it had a strong mold-like smell inside. The floor tiles were partly covered in black mold as well, perhaps due to a poor ventilation system.

Went to the spa and was pleased with the clean facilities. Big place with a good selection of indoor/outdoor pools, saunas, steam rooms. Only complaint is that the big outdoor pool could have been hotter, given that the weather was cold.

We had a disappointing stay here this week. So many things went wrong it’s hard to list them all. The 2 main upsetting things that happened was firstly our bath robes and towels were stolen from the spa area. We spoke to a member of staff in the spa and they refused to help us. They said we had to go to reception to get it sorted. So off we went, with nothing to cover ourselves with and we waited in the reception area with everyone coming and going and the door opening and closing. It was incredibly embarrassing and also freezing cold. Once it was our turn in line, the receptionist was helpful and gave us robes to cover up. Secondly, I left my scarf in my bedroom, when I was half way home I realised my mistake, so I messaged the spa. The following day I’d not had a reply, so I went back to the spa to collect it (it has sentimental value) but they said no scarf had been left in the hotel. Apparently housekeeping hadn’t reported any left belongings, so therefore I haven’t left it there! Well I definitely did leave it in the room, I wish I hadn’t :’( I’m so upset. I’m quite shocked that it’s no longer anywhere to be found. On top of these 2 big things, we also had a dirty room with hair shavings in the sink, dirty glasses, mould in the bathroom and dirty towels.

Review for the spa and the massage service. The spa facilities are great! Many saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms to choose from. It is quite big, with many people but room for everyone on a Monday night. Bring your own flipflops, towels and robe as renting them is quite pricey. Massage: quite disappointed for a place of such standards. It was definitely not the best massage I ever had, compared to the price I have paid. The end was quite rushed. Will come back to the spa but probably not get a massage there again!

I visited this place during my last trip and believe me it's the best spa hotel in Amsterdam!!. Beautiful spa, nice and cultured people. Spa is super clean, hygienic, fresh and bright. Pool is very big. It has both indoor and outdoor pool. Cool atmosphere. It's a lovely place to visit for a couple . There was an Indian working staff(I don't know her name, she is very kind and helpful). I will definitely visit this Spa again during my next trip.

I didn't enjoy spa evening at all. So many people talked in 'quiet' saunas and baths, big pool was cold even being outside in November. We were waiting for dessert more than 30 minutes, restaurant staff forget about it (we needed to reminder 3 times to have it). In the end I saw that they included extra drink in our bill. And parking for several hours was 14 EUR, which is extremely high rate. So this experience was stressful instead of relaxing. I would not recommend it to visit anyone

The spa looks nice and is clean and inviting. However the temperature in the jacuzzi and the hot baths was not ideal for relaxation. There were cold streams of water that spoiled the relaxing sensation. Also the restaurant temperature was low, however staff was very friendly and helpful and food was nice.

A long lay over in Amsterdam on a cold rainy day prompted us to visit this amazing spa. Reservations are a must as they are incredibly booked up. There are multiples saunas and steam room inside and outside. This retreat is about bringing the outside in and inside to the outdoor. We were lucky to catch one cancellation so we were able to experience a short treatment which was very good. Tons of If I have the chance I would definitely return.

The spa was great, they have a very big place, there is a restaurant, I can say 7/10 for food but the prices are really good, the breakfast was also great 9/10, and the room organisation is a little bit bad, our room was not ready after couple of hours, we recived another room and everything was good. I can say 4/5 stars it's our day in that place.

The spa consistently would "close" over half an hour before the stated close time. The staff would not let us in, and the machines would not let us in to the spa after scanning our wristbands. In addition, there is a "bedtime" of 11pm for the hotel. If you come back after this time, you have to call the front desk to be let in!

Upon entering the hotel to check in at reception the representatives were cold and dismissive. When I walked up a man was complaining about how his see through bag (provided by the hotel) was stolen. Housekeeping is sporadic. After staying here four nights our towels are making quite the pile in the bathroom. This hotel will nickel and dime you for every cent you have. No flip flops? Charge. Can’t bring water into spa? Charge. Bike rentals into town are more than an Uber. The rooms are “ok” and the spa is great for what it is, but dealing with the staff is a nightmare. Why come to a spa to relax when it’s a fight every time you go to reception. Also, Ajung or “AJ” was the manager for my last night. I ordered food to the lobby, which didn’t reach me for 2+ hours. I ordered food the night before and reception just called up when it was ready. This night I had to go down and play detective as to where my food was. Apparently there was two guests in the hotel with my initials including myself and AJ felt like it was a good idea to just let the food rot, instead of using any sort of critical thinking to pick up a phone. If you’re coming for the spa, great, but don’t expect much from hospitality.

Good clean spa with different types of saunas and rituals. Entrance price = 43.50 euros, bathrobe rental price = 11 euros. You can also rent slippers and towels. The pool water could be warmer.
