😠 Used to be okay but they turned their gym into a rat-mill of cardio and unidirectional machines, yet still charge twice as much as basic-fit. Trainmore... more like paymore xD. People often mention great, staff, machines, equipment, Train, complaints, working, time, Amsterdam, Trainmore,

Very busy and overcrowded tiny gym. Always dusty. Can't remember another gym that had so many little cleaning and maintenance, and I have seen plenty. Even the Basic Fit and Fit4Free around the corner are better maintained. Former owners Gustav took more care. TrainMore does not seem to care. I will have to look for another gym. Positive perk: this seems to be a corona virus-free gym: you can train with your friends and chill out at the reception and meet friends and drink coffee. This is great as right now all other coffee bars do take away only...

Edit: once a happy customer for 3 years BE AWARE they will try to make ur membership prices higher. This is doubtly legal. By a mere email I receive the news that "the costs have rised so they offer me a new 89€ membership! Mind you is more than double of what I pay. Reckless behaviour and until they change their mind we will be gone. Competition has 32.5€ memberships including all locations around Europe, massage chairs, drinks and live classes... not staying. Trainmore doesnt value loyalty. Incredible considering WE STILL PAID THROUGH COVID. Old review not valid anymore as previously stated plus theres no more classes in this location. Pf: "Teacher Veronica is SO GOOD. Really takes the time to explain and make everything fun. Thanks to her I'm motivated and closer to leave my coronabody behind. Love it! 5⭐"

Freezing cold in winter ❄️ Sizzling hot in summer 🥵 No heating, no airco. Bring your sweater in winter and an ice pack in summer. Expensive. 2 stars also cause hardly any dusting. Why not 1 star? Because the equipment is great! They have all the TechnoGym machines you possibly want. If you need staff, check out the working room, cause the girl is probably working out with her friends. Wanna come in? Just jump over the tourniquet whenever you don’t see staff. But be aware staff may just look like a member… sometimes you just can’t tell the difference. Back to the temperature. So with climate change and warm summers here in Amsterdam City only a good inside temperature until around 20 degrees C outside. When sun shines and warmer outside this place is an oven. In winter it's freezing cold. The leg and bench press room upstairs does have climate control including airconditioning, but this only 20% of the gym aprox. Back in the early years, when this was still Gustav, airco was working as was heating....In the entire building. In fact, the outlets are still in the ceiling and on the walls...it’s a matter of owners not wanting to pay for utilities….

The gym itself is nice, but unfortunately TrainMore is just a nightmare. If there is any issue with your account (for example incorrect direct debit almost every month) the floor staff is useless and can only tell you to contact customer service. Customer service is trash tier, there is no phone number and any emails you send are ignored. If you can, pick another gym!

Very small gym which is typical for Amsterdam. only a handful of machines, and only one area for ground work, which is inaccessible if there is a class. joined for a month trial, but it is just too small and too sparsely equipped for my needs.

Small, narrow, not many machines. This used to be a Trainmore Black Label, for which you have to pay more compared to a normal Trainmore. Wisely they stripped it of that label recently.

I’m a member for more than three years, the staff is mostly unfriendly, (not all them), :( (greeting would be a minimum). The fountain is constantly not working because the employees don’t clean/check as well as the soap dispenser.

Nice gym overall. Clean and never too busy where you can't get on a machine. Would be 5-star if it had a sauna and more space for core/floor exercises! If you want to find space to do your core workout, you've got to get creative.

The people rating this gym highly must have just upgraded from the garbage basic-fit down the road Does the job if you show up at off-peak times and are in the area, but even then I'd recommend Trainmore Van Wou which is 3 min walk away and has a better layout, working drinking fountain, and cleaners

The location is great. The machines are okay, though limited. No sauna, no AC which makes the air insufferable for a workout during summer.. Drink fountain almost never works and many of the lockers don't work. Not much to say about hygiene, mostly because of bad air quality

They will do everything to get you in as a customer, but after you sign up they stop caring care about you at all. At this specific gym equipment is broken all the time and sometimes doesn’t get replaced for months, also the female toilet was broken for weeks and the AC barely works so working out during summer time was unbearable! Basically paid for a few months without being able to workout. I emailed them but nothing happened. To top the experience off: I’m moving to a different part of Amsterdam and can’t even go to a different train more location (even though I’m willing to pay more since the other locations are more expensive) unless I commit to a new year-long contract. Never in a million years. I also contacted the customer service to discuss other options, said they will forward it to a manager and than just close my case. Horrible company. Way way way to expensive for what you get. Avoid at all cost!!

Train More Weteringschans: I am not someone who immediately writes a negative review if something is wrong, but nothing happens with complaints from members. The lockers have been broken for a long time. You can't even store your stuff normally. Received a response from customer service several times to complaints, but they still do nothing about it (more than six months later). They all find it very annoying for you, but then nothing happens. Time after time. Complaints are no longer responded to at all. In summer the air conditioning is turned off and it is so hot that you cannot exercise normally. There have also been a lot of complaints from other members. Train More focuses on opening new locations, so that existing locations no longer receive attention. It's a shame about a great concept like Train More, which I used to be so positive about that I recommended people to exercise there. Conclusion: as long as the facilities work, Train More is a great gym with a good atmosphere. But don't expect anything to ever be done about your complaints. They don't care at all. Also, no suitable solution is offered (discount on your subscription for the inconvenience or something else). On balance, it is of no use to you. The staff is also nice and helpful. I hope that Train More will do something about members' complaints. A well equipped if slightly small gym, has a bit of everything as well as showers/changing facilities. Visiting Amsterdam for the week, TrainMore offers a week pass for €35 which is perfect for me. There are also days passes for €15.

I had an INCREDIBLE workout here this morning. I’m visiting from the US and generally have found gym culture in Europe to be a bit less strong than it is in the US (and especially Florida). Matias at the front desk was super helpful and pleasant and made my day. Thank you so much!!

It seems to me to be a super prepared gym with the best machines, very clean and with a lot of space, we come from the Canary Islands, I was there for a week and I RECOMMEND IT WITHOUT A DOUBT. Also at the reception they treated me very well (especially Matias) always paying attention to my exercises. I will return without a doubt.

Visited while on a holiday in Amsterdam. Staff are amazing and very helpful. The facility is great with great workout machines. Set in a quiet part of Amsterdam easily accessible. Highly recommended gym :)

We stumbled upon this gym whilst on holiday and needed somewhere to train. The staff we super friendly and welcoming. The gym is amazing and has a coolness about it that I haven’t experienced in London. All in all I’ve had a very pleasant experience here and would always look for the nearest Trainmore whenever I’m in Amsterdam!

Since the very first you’ll have a warm and energized welcome by the staff; the machines are very according to whatever exercise you want to do and obviously the atmosphere (music, people, location and view) makes it even better

I dropped by this gym in early-September and the guy working behind the front desk was both helpful and accommodating. I was staying at the hotel next door, so this couldn’t have been more convenient. I can’t speak to summertime conditions, but it was a perfect temperature when I worked out there. Large, with 2 floors, and new equipment everywhere. Overall a very positive experience and I’d recommend!

😠 Unfortunate to see my favourite gym constantly in disrepair. Often taking weeks to months before simple issues are fixed. Cleanliness is also not as it used to be - WCs become disgusting later in the day. Calling customer support wasn’t helpful so I thought I’d post my complaints here.
