The room was not clean at our arrival and the toilet facilities were poor. It is understandable that you canโ€™t put toilet paper in the toilet but the bins must at least be changed once a day instead of been filled to above the top before being emptied. It is generally unacceptable not cleaning the toilets, refilling toilet paper and soap at the sinks but with corona it is even worse. I believe the hotel can be a great place but with the mindset of what I have met, it has a long way to go.

The great thing about staying on a barge boat here is that you're close to the train station and city centre, but not so close that you hear all the noise. It's quiet and peaceful, but don't expect lazy lie-ins because when staff and guests get up in the morning, you'll definitely hear it in your bedroom. You have to enjoy staying on a barge boat to stay here. If you need lots of space and comfort, it may not be the right choice for you because the rooms are small and cramped, which is to be expected, it's not a luxury yacht. Personally I don't mind at all, I sort of enjoy it. Everything works as expected. There's wifi, an 'honesty bar' (write down what you take and pay at checkout'), a little lounge area to chill with your friends, breakfast buffet. Our host Adwin was welcoming.

Very cool place! Everything is great - the people, who run the place, location in the very old centre, price, views around. The rooms are tiny but very clean and have a sink and a small closet with hangers. Toilets and shower were always available, mattresses are comfortable, the common areas are very clean. Spacious outside deck with chairs and inside dining room. They serve very nice breakfast. 10 min walk from the central station. The rooms have small heaters for winter time, but in the hot days it gets really hot inside, we slept with the door a little bit open, and it was good, together with the open tiny window it made an airflow. The hosts gave us great tips about bike routes around Amsterdam. We enjoyed everything and definitely will stay here again.

Great location; friendly staff. My wife and I had a great time staying here. The rooms are small, but that is no surprise considering its a boat. There is a nice lounge area and patio to hang out on. There is a fridge full of beer that you can buy at a reasonable price (on the honour system). Would definitely recommend this hotelboat.

The crew are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are cozy. There is a sink in the room, and toilets and showers are in the hallway. The showers were actually really great! Everything was clean. They provide you with towels too. They offer 100 MB of free Internet per day. Overall, we had a great stay.

Would not recommend. The showers are not hygienic. Toilet papers should be thrown away in a bin (which is not the problem) but the bin is not emptied regularly. There was a disguting amount of dirty toilet paper in those bins. It was also impossible to sleep. You could hear every step taken in this boat. The staff didnt care of the level of noise in their "hotel" and would not do anything. This should not be considered a hotel but a low quality youth hotel.

Price and quality wise it is a nice place to lay your head in after long walks in Amsterdam. Hotelboat is located near the town centre in the docs. Staff is very friendly and talkative, gave some suggestions on what to visit and also we're collaborative when asked about other questions about the city and culture. Side note: the cabins are quite small, so would not recommend for people with a fear of small places. Nevertheless, would definitely come back.

Not bad choice of it's value money-quality. Breakfast is so-so. Keep in mind that rooms are too small, toilets and baths are on both sides of the boat. Almost all the guests were sleeping with open doors to have some access to fresh air.

Definitely a great experience for who loves to stay in a complete Holland style! The 'boat keeper' was very polite, offering us biscuits and a bier. You should not dislike the bathroom or the bedroom - this is indeed a 'cabin', as it should be in a boat. At disposal also wifi (despite booking was saying no) and a great breakfast with several Holland products.

I love it! Ist a super clean and nice place. It is a small but sweet hostel. The lady who works there is really nice and will help you to find the best places in the city. And last but not least it's on a central place.

I was really disappointed with my stay at this โ€œhotelโ€. The room was not clean when we arrived and I donโ€™t know about the other rooms but mine was without air conditioning, even though google says it has. The service level was bad, the staff is walking around in hoodies and did not great you when coming and going from the hotel. Most of the toilets was without toilet paper almost all week I was there. This place is probably nice for young people whoโ€™s planning on partying and want something cheap to stay in. But for a couple who likes clean rooms and some hand sanitizer in this corona times it is not a good place to stay.

Really cool boat. Great location. More low key atmosphere. Extremely friendly staff. Only negative is the rooms can get quite hot at night. If you have a small fan that might make it perfect! Otherwise great stay!

One of the best places to stat in Amsterdam. The prices are reasonable and the breakfast was really good. We found it difficult to find the boat but when we called they immediately helped us. Toilets and showers were clean and the service was great. You have around 10 minutes walking to the center of Amsterdam also there is a parking place for 20 euro per day.

Amazing place, delicious breakfast, coffee and tea is always available. Nice views. Great and helpful staff, warm and welcoming atmosphere. Reasonable prices. (wifi not working properly, although it wasnโ€™t a problem for me)

An unique experience, specifically for those who like bots, calme and near to the city centre

most horrible hotel I've ever been to. I was expecting to have noise and to have hot rooms but nothing prepared me to this. It was dirty, the common showers and toilets were not cleaned. At night it was extremely noisy, even with earplugs. We asked twice the responsible man to change our room (I think the position of our room didn't help) but he didn't want to help us or to try to find a solution. Finally it smelled smoke in the rooms, even though it's forbidden to smoke inside, and again nothing was done to correct that. We quit the hotel around 2 am and found another one. If you want to do a lot of things and biking in Amsterdam and have a rest and night, don't go there! It's a horrible place!

Great boat, nice atmosphere but very noisy and far from everything.

Had very nice stay last August. Breakfast was nice! The only complaint and really big issue ist that it was unbelievably hot in the rooms at night. We barely slept. During the day, they were cooler than outside though. Maybe donโ€™t go during high summer?

๐Ÿ‘ I am giving a four star as they ran out of waffles. Otherwise it would have been a 5! This place has a dark, wooden, maximalist interior which suits the cafe perfectly. Surround by barrels and a barrage of beer choices, I came for the brunch as it was recommend on Google. Service was friendly and a...

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Amazing stay. My friend and I went for a fishing trip. The host Karen was lovely and arranged bikes for us at a very good price, its only a short cycle to the bus/train station. As we are both guys we grabbed unhealthy food on the go but there was lots of nice food left in the cupboard and fridge, r...
