This review is based off my experience with booking an 18 bed shared room, although my room had only 12 beds (not complaining). I stayed here for almost a week and my experience was just fine. Just be aware there is little to no facilities, no kitchen, no fridge to store food, the wifi is very scarce and only available on the main level. There is 2 USB outlets near each bed to charge your phone but no wall outlets to charge anything else other than the common room. The location is absolutely incredible! Very central, clean rooms, and an easy check-in and check-out process. This place would be perfect for a night or two but any longer I would suggest staying elsewhere with better facilities. Another thing to note: there's no way you can use your personal lock with the lockers provided so your only choice is to rent one and they provide you with a key. €2 to rent one with a €10 refundable deposit required.

This is a solid hostel right near the central station. Very large barrels with sturdy locks for your locker so no stress about bringing a bigger bag. The staff was friendly and helpful the whole time. You have to show your keycard to enter the building so it feels very safe. I would definitely return.

Hostel Meeting Point was a bit of a grab bag of good and bad experiences. The price was comparable to others in Amsterdam, but Meeting Point is extremely close to MANY activities. Sometimes the service was great and friendly, and on some shifts the service was outright hostile. We had one lovely woman fill our water bottles before we left, and had one aggressive man tell us we should fill them in the shower. The bar was very convenient, and I spent quite a bit of time there. The guests ranged from being very pleasant, to being sketchy and high out of their minds. The beds were okay, and it seemed that most of the outlets (direct USB wall outlets for charging phones) seemed to work. The showers were absolutely horrible. You had to hold a button to keep the water flowing, and the entire changing space was flooded. This makes it impossible to get dressed after a shower without drenching your clean clothes. The key cards never worked, and I had to swap out my card 3 times in the two days I stayed there.

Stayed here on a weekday so the price was really good. Unfortunately as a relatively tall person, the beds were really short and the washrooms were really small. Bar area is nice though. Staff are friendly, also located in a really nice area.

Affordable and very good location. The staff and owner are really nice and helpful. Pretty clean for a hostel that cheap. The rooms are very big so there will probably be a lot of people coming in and out while you are trying to sleep. And there's a cat at te pub downstairs who really likes to play.

Stairs are bit of a trek, but everything was very clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful! It's right by Centraal station which is perfect, and it has a cheap bar where the other tenants can meet and chat with each other. I would definitely stay there again.

You pay for what you get! Staff rude and patronising when I accidentally left a key in the room even though my roommate had hers - but this was only 1 of the staff members all others were nice. Toilets really clean, showers warm, beds comfortable and plugs available. Felt very secure and good lockers 👌

Brilliant vibe from this place. Central location with bustling views overlooking the canal across the train station to keep you close to the feel of the Dam. Very accommodating & sociable staff. Great prices on beer & food within & 24 hour bar inside. What more could you want for a good price. Recommended to one & all 👍😎

Wonderful staff, one of the best shower/toilet setups. Excellent bar vibe and music. Not the most effective storage system but overall fantastic if you want to be centrally located.

Really humble nice cozy relaxed and cheap place. I expected rough people considering the price was so cheap but everyone was lovely, all nationalities can be found here. The bar is 24/7 and you can smoke inside. Stafd are also lovely

Great place to chill out with good views.. The guy at the counter for the night shift is extremely rude and unwelcoming.. Would recommend you check-in after 9am or before 7pm... The girl handling the morning shift is charging and welcoming...

I stayed there for only 1 night and that was enough ,I had just arrived and I asked the receptionist for a good place for authentic food from the Netherlands, he responded"At my mother's house " and the hostel was semi-clean ,the only advante is the location ,close to the central station and the red light district and coffee shops ,found the city very walkable

Spacious clean rooms with comfy beds at a cheap price. Bar and smoking area that's open almost 24 hours and a 24 hour reception make this a great option for those on a budget. Don't pay too much attention to the rating on Hostelworld either, it's a very good cheap hostel.

The hostel is a small, musty place, but in a great location. It's nice enough as a hostel, and so far all the staff have been very helpful. The to floor bedroom is nice with the windows open, even in June. Not a place I would spend a lot of time, but a good place to stay for the college crowd. Solid.

😐 It is a large, somewhat impersonal, completely unshaded and extremely noisy campsite (we were in the tented section).Noisy because there is a large multi-lane bridge nearby, which is still very busy at night. Also noisy because of the "cigarette smokers". There are no rules and regulations - or if t...
