It was a great experience!!! Specially to the host Dave. He is very friendly and always available for anything you want. I lost my key in the boar and he helped me with a spare key. The hostel is extremely clean. Toilets and showers are shared but we had no problems with it .Breakfast had plenty of options such as fruit, muesli, croissants, coffee. We only used the hostel for sleeping, so it was very suitable for our purposes. If I was claustrophobic, I would definitely not choose it because the rooms are VERY small. The price is very reasonable so if you don't mind the size, it is definitely preferable. The location is also great. You can reach everywhere on foot. Thanks Dave.

We had a nice stay here, the owner is friendly and prepares great breakfast. The cabins are small and there are no wall sockets in them but other than that it's a nice and unique experience while in Amsterdam. Close to the city center.

Wonderful memorable stay. The standard is of course a bit on the lower end (warm room and no electricity in the room) but the experience was great and the host is great.

Overall good experience for the price. Cabin rooms were tiny so it’s not for everyone. Especially during cold months when you need space for coats, bulky luggage, boots, etc. The heating was real good, location and breakfast too. I would give it 4 stars but Dave (who runs the boat) plays acoustic guitar during breakfast and that was a real nice touch in my opinion.

It was a great experience!!! The hostel is extremely clean. Toilets and showers are shared but we had no problems with occupancy or cleanliness. Breakfast had plenty of options such as fruit, muesli, croissants, cheese. The coffee was delicious too! Thank you very much for this beautiful stay!

I enjoyed every moment! The rooms may be quite tiny but everything's clean, it's warm and dry (even in November!) and breakfasts are fresh and tasty. The owner / captain is really lovely and helpful. There is always some fruit and sweets to choose from at the common room. The experience is unforgettable! If you don't mind small rooms, it's the best choice.

Everyone should have a Dave because this host is the best. Our stay was very fun and we really enjoyed the time on the houseboat. The rooms are practical and serve your purpose. The common room was even a live guitar concert through Dave. We will definitely come back. Highly recommended

COSY FOR A SHORT STAY ADVANTAGES: Breakfast was awesome! The location of the hostel is also great as it is really close to the central train station and to the city center. 10 minutes walking distance. DISADVANTAGES: In comparison to others, our room was tiny and we barely had space to walk around the room or even stand. In addition, the room was really dark even with the lights on.

It was very exciting to see and sleep in one of the boats that are all over Amsterdam! Location: the boat is located next to the big blue/green NEMO building which is close enough to the central station and city to walk yet far away to not be disturbed by people moving about. Rooms: our room was a bit cramped and dark but since we didn't spend a lot of time there it wasn't a problem. However, there were no electric outlets in the room so charging took place in the common room where breakfast is served. Service: breakfast was included which was really nice. The toilets and showers were fresh. Only bad thing was that no towels were included. Summary: Great experience, nice hosts, central.

The first day and night was amazing, other guests were also great and considerate. Second day a group of Spanish lads joined the boat and then the second night we had to put up with them outside on the top of the boat above our room making a lot of noise so obviously didn't give a s**t about the other guests. I texted the contact number to try to get the staff to sort the situation out but no response. Other than that it was great, location 5*, rooms small but pictures do show you that, toilets/ showers two of both fine again for the amount of people on the boat, electric socket situation definitely needs looking at so there's sockets in the rooms, staff he was very welcoming and nice. It would of been perfect apart from the some inconsiderate guests

Really great value for money as most comment's say. Welcoming and nice host, with a friendly but reserved manner. Breakfast was a really good continental. Obviously rooms are small and can be noisy at night but, what can you expect for a value stay in the centre of Amsterdam. Our only regret is we did not book 2 more nights there. Though probably 3 to 4 night optimal.

The managers is very nice and the breakfast was very good. But i didn't expect the cabins to be that small, and there were no sockets in them either. So no possibility to charge anything in your cabin or just stay to chill, otherwise you have to stay lying in your bed. So you need to stay in the dining room to chill among others. That benefited in the fact that we fully experienced Amsterdam and stayed out as much as possible.

Real nice place to stay - especially if you seek a budget friendly way to spend a night(or more) in Amsterdam. We’ve been to multiple hotels in Ams. but this is truly a different experience. Owner is very friendly and the boat is in original condition so no modern design luckily :) First time for us in a hostel - so we were unsure what to expect, but all was well maintained and clean. we stayed for 2 nights, and both mornings breakfast was very good. Located close to city center you can get anywhere you want pretty quick(by shared scooter for example) and it is amazing to wake up in quiet harbor and enjoy the morning sun with a good cup of coffee :)

Everyone should have a Dave! Our stay was extremely great and we will definitely come back. The rooms are very small but sufficient. I've always wanted to live under the stairs like Harry Potter. Dave We love you! love goes out! #lovelovelove

This hostelboat was exactly as described, there were no surprises. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast in the morning is simple and tasty. The only reason this is getting four stars instead of five is the lack of WiFi. My only warning is too keep in mind that this is a boat, so it will be close quarters, but if you know what you're expecting, you'll have no complaints!

Amazing boat with history. Very central and easy to get to anything in Amsterdam. Great host Thanks David. Will be returning.

I can't recommend this place. There is no space in the cabin. Room is tiny! No WiFi! No towels. Sockets don't work in the rooms. And it doesn't cost this money! You can find a more comfortable place.
