The coffee here is delicious, they have really good baristas. They also sell their own high quality coffee beans there. The place is large. Recommended!

The coffee located 12 away from midtown, it was not very crowded the where welcoming but their service was very very slow it took 15 min to get my coffee, the decoration nice and mainly indoor. The offer roster coffee for home use. I tried a flat white was good 10/10 the pecan tart was 2/10

The best coffee shop in Amsterdam for me.. very nice and cozy coffee shop.. one of the most rare speciality coffee places to find that serve a good coffee.. staff were very welcoming and friendly.. the coffee was very good and the foam was perfect.. the shop is big and cozy and very nicely decorated.. it was a good lovely experience to come and visit this place for sure and we would do it again

Cute coffee shop in the center of Amsterdam, but on a quiet and picturesque street. The coffee was great - we got oat lattes and espressos. They also had some goodies to go with the coffee (vegan banana bread, oat cookies, cheese cake servings). They offer coffee courses and so the seating isn't always available but when it is, the seating is comfortable and pleasant with a steam punk vibe.

Heard it’s one the best specialty coffee shops in Amsterdam, and that was true. Amazing coffee really good beans the barista knows well how to make that V 60. Highly recommended if you’re a speciality coffee person 🤝

Not far from the overloaded center, you could find a place to recharge with a cup of coffee. There are also workplaces 6€/ hour if you want. Love its design too. It saves me from a rainy and moody day in Amsterdam.

This cafe serves the best quality coffee in Amsterdam Centrum. And it plays music which suits best to cafe. I am not saying about their playlists, but the music is not too loud, so suitable for chatting but also it is not too small for people to be disturbed by other people’s conversation. But I found one downside as well. They need more staff at least for Saturday afternoon. They were super busy and it made customers wait for their coffee for some time.

One of the best places in Amsterdam to sit and enjoy a coffee. Close to the packed centre but normally not too crowded and usually full of locals. Good selection of beans to take home. I need to enrol in one of their classes soon.

Extremely busy coffee shop, however they did not make V60 because “we’re busy” as they said. They gave me americano instead! I also had latte, the foam was extremely too much as it is supposed to be for cappuccino! Generally speaking the coffee taste was good though despite my dissatisfaction with the overall quality of the service.

It is place for real coffee lovers. You can taste single origin or blends of specialty Coffee. We tasted all three types of espresso and barista offer us free of charge V60 and filter coffee. The place offers and course for tasting, brewing and barista availe in their site. Bocca coffee is used in many coffee shops around Amsterdam.

Lovely coffee shop! Good coffee, decent matcha latte too. But their raspberry cheesecake is on a different level, a must try! Thick creamy texture with a delicate fruity flavour in between, we really enjoyed it (pairing with the lattes of course!).

Cute and fancy coffee. And everything else was, as expected, fancy coffee material. We waited 10min to order. The barista, who was very kind, was alone at 9:30 am so we waited a little bit. For the taste : the croissants and pain au chocolat are incredible (as a frenchie, it’s a compliment !). Those are not dry, and taste good. On the contrary, we were disappointed by the matcha. It looks not vibrant and tastes bitter. It was either bad quality matcha or oxidized matcha. The coffee was good tho. For the ambiance : it is a minimal, cozy coffee. But it lacks a little bit of confort. We sat on the bench and low table, but we finished quickly because it was not the most confortable. The prices are quite normal for a fancy coffee ! It was good overall. Thank you !

Very helpful and nice staff, keen to discuss coffee. Lots of space although it does not mean it's easy to find a seat - the place is becoming more and more popular. Good location, close to popular walking routes. Also selection of sweet things was increased. Note that Bocca does not accept cash any more.

The coffee at Bocca is delicious, they have good baristas and I love to always find some gluten free or vegan treats to go with the drink. They also sell their own high quality coffee beans there. The place is large, although they don't have a terrace if you're looking for some sun. Recommended!

Favourite place to buy coffee beans (they also grind it for you) for use at home. We tried a couple of other coffees from elsewhere and went back to Bocca cos it just tastes better. Also lovely place for sitting in and drinking coffee/ chatting in larger groups/ working (but make sure you respect their working policy :))) )

Amazing coffee but it’s always a hit and miss on the service. Today’s service was atrocious! Maybe I’m simply forgettable but they didn’t even realise I existed. Sat down for almost an hour and didn’t have a drink, tried to be polite and grab staff members attention but although they saw me, they were probably too busy to acknowledge me. Had to leave and tell them I needed to pay for them to realise. Will definitely not be recommending this cafe to anyone visiting Amsterdam or friends in the city!

I live in Amsterdam but until now I couldn’t really find a great coffee place with a good mood and great quality coffee. However, Bocca is that place. I could feel how much they care about coffee by the level of detail they put into it. The whole cafe was full of customers but the vibe was still very relaxing and the servers had it all under control acting calm and friendly. Fully recommend!

Very ordinary, maybe good coffee, but it's not a comfortable place to stay I must say, strange height of the tables, or too high or to low, if u choose the high table with high chair, u don't know even better to stand or to sit. If you choose the low sofa, well it's not real sofa, it's made by some wood, very hard and uncomfortable! There are lot of beautiful cafès in amsterdam, i don't recommend this one.

Absolutely loved this space... Very spacious and very welcoming.... The lady making the coffee was very warm and helpful. The coffee that i tried was a blend and it was really yummy with just that very light bitter after taste.... Loved it. Also loved the colour of the cups... it was bright enough to add the happiness quotient to a very slick and trendily designed space. The space itself is straight out of Cereal Magazine.... And they had good gluten free options to snack. Vow. Glad that i made it here.

Bocca was founded by a Dutchman who began his search for the perfect coffee bean in Ethiopia. Natural light fills the warehouse-like interior, which has high ceilings, white walls and a mix of bar seating and cosy sofa areas. A long table in the rear is perfect for working. However, a weekend laptop ban means sometimes settling for great coffee brewed by talented baristas and some killer red velvet cake or Dutch apple pie. Lauded as the first speciality coffee roaster in the Netherlands to manage the whole bean-to-cup process, Bocca now supplies many local restaurants with premium roasted beans

Great vibe and coffee. It’s a place you can easily come with a friend to catch up, to relax and read a book with a coffee as well as work for part of the day. There’s a table around the back which is handy if you come to do some work.

My favourite place to get a pour over. It's spacious, manages to keep a calm atmosphere even when busy. The open bar gives you a nice view of the coffee being prepared and you can see the staff care about the end result as much as the customer (if not more). The end result was also one of the best V60s I've ever had. Can't comment on the food but if you value a really good, well made coffee, treat yourself to a visit to Bocca.

One of the few destinations for specialty coffee in the central canals area. It's a large, minimally decorated space. Coffee is excellent, either hot (flat white, batch brew) or cold (iced latte and nitro cold brew). The usual pastry options are available (croissant, banana bread, pastel de nata etc). Some different beans for purchase. The service and advice are good. Highly recommended!

This place used to be my go-to coffee spot in Amsterdam. I still think their beans and coffee are really good, but their new staff lately........is so rude. Makes me not want to go there anymore, which is a shame.

I have tried the ''Long Black'' coffee at this place. It legitimately tasted like heaven. I tried so many different coffees in Amsterdam and this was easily one of the best. The tased was so rich and in tense, exactly what I was looking for. Try the coffee with the cocoa hint, you won't regret it!

One of my favorite coffee places in the city. Always delicious coffee and snacks, lovely and outstanding service. Would recommend trying filter coffee with any of their beans variety. It's a pitty that the place is always crowded and now it's very hard to find a table to sit.

Still on a hunt for relaxed and nice coffee places in Amsterdam. I don't like writing not so good reviews, but I'd like to think this one is constructive feedback. This place has potential to be cozy if they change their furnitures and the layout. It wasn't relaxed at all. The long black I bought was okay. Found it a bit watered down. The staff were friendly though.

  • 2/5 Thirza J. 2 years ago on Google
Great coffee and decor! But rude staff. I ordered 2 cappuccino and got told that only 1 particular corner was open for service, so we have to sit there. One of the ladies then called out '2 Cappuchino' and thinking it was our order, I got up to walk to the counter and the lady just bluntly and loud says 'No its NOT for you!'. It was so condescending. I like the place but would not come again as I did not feel welcome at all. I rarely write reviews but this one had me good.

Really good coffee, the vibe is not always great Edit to reply: what makes the vibe not great is that I never really feel like staying around to drink my coffee. Maybe it’s just subjective (hence using a vague word like “vibe”), maybe it’s because a lot of people come and go, or maybe I really do pick up bad vibes from someone or something. One time after sitting down at a regular table, the lady at the bar came to tell me I can’t sit there because she had apparently promised that specific table to somebody, and to me this felt unwelcoming and maybe even unprofessional - had I seen a “reserved” sign on the table I wouldn’t have sat down in the first place and this situation would never have happened. I also find it distasteful when I’m asked to my face “are you planning to use your laptop?” because of the wording. I know you have a laptop policy, and it makes sense, but I think there are much better ways to bring it up with customers than a question which seems invasive at first. As mentioned above, these points are subjective and maybe others do not find them so upsetting, but for me it is what makes the difference between 5 and 4 stars.

  • 4/5 Jacqueline van den E. 2 years ago on Google
Bocca has good coffee and it's a nice place. It recently has felt a lot less welcoming however. They close off half of the space for coworking it seems, where you need to pay an hourly fee to sit at a table. People just having a regular coffee are all packed into 1 small corner of the space. Get the intent but I feel the execution could be improved quite a lot

The best place to go for coffee if you know a thing or to about good coffee. At the moment they only do tale away due to a staff shortage but nonetheless the best quality coffee in Amsterdam. Pastries are yummy too. I would recommend the little lemon meringue pie.

This place is amazing. Easily meets Melbourne coffee and barista standards. The staff are super friendly, observant and thoughtful. I walked in with a slight cough and then the barista served me a warm water with my flat white. Much better for me than chilled water. 10 ⭐️⭐️

Great cafe that has some nice vibes inside, although it is limited seating. Staff are friendly and helpful. The Yuzu passionfruit cafe was a must try and the coffee they have here is standard and reliable.

  • 5/5 Sahil S. 1 year ago on Google
Really really good coffee made by passionate baristas. The vibe is very cozy and the seating is comfortable and relaxed. They sell their own roasts and offer coffee courses as well. I really liked the espresso and the latte macchiato (super smooth and mellow). They know what they’re doing. I sadly didnt really enjoy the croissant (it was ok, but not great), but I think their other pastry options looked better, so maybe try those. Overall highly recommend going there and will come back.

One of the best places to have a coffee, It features an open space and a coffee bar that brings people together. I ordered a latte and it was delicious and presented in a unique way :) and a very welcoming crew. The place may get a little crowded at specific times, but this makes the place more beautiful.

  • 1/5 Stefanie K. 1 year ago on Google
Coffee and cakes were tasty, big place with only limited seating (no idea why). I also bought a magic II tea maker. When I unpacked it at home it was clearly used, parts were missing and it was not of the brand on the box. Scammy!

First coffee consumed in Amsterdam and it did not disappoint. Spacious interior with plenty of bar seating. Coffee was delish and pastries complemented well. Had a filter and flat white and fruitiness in the pourover really punched through. A must visit specialty Coffee joint in central Amsterdam.

Two weeks ago I went there with 2 Friends of mine, we were treated very badly. The girl who was serving the tables charged us immediately after the order whilst she didn't do it with the other customers. I spoke to her about this and she didn't apologize at all. Besides we weren't treated well there the coffee is way too expensive.

(Translated by Google) Bad business. I ordered coffee and sat down alone. I was just preparing a presentation in my head. I forgot a part I open laptop. Immediately a man to me, I'm going to pour the coffee to go because you're on your laptop. Then I said seriously you looked outside. It was raining cats and dogs ... good thinking .. not. He could have said put your laptop away and continue your coffee. I really had to leave him. Weird thing never come again and don't recommend it either. (Original) Slechte zaak. Regende pijpestelen... goed meedenken.. not. Hij had kunnen zeggen doe je laptop weg en drink je koffie verder. Ik moest hij echt weg. Rare zaak kom er nooit meer en beveel het ook niet aan.

Absolutely love coming here in the early morning to check emails while enjoying a great selection of coffee and pastry. Bocca has an amazing selection of coffees and teas. Their fruity pastry is my favorite :-) Make sure to also check out their breakfast options. The facilities are clean and tidy. The atmosphere feels urban, cozy and lively. During busy hours, waiting times can be slightly higher. It should be mentioned that the Bocca has a strict no-laptop policy after 11am (except in the area close to the kitchen) on weekdays and full day on weekends. Guests are very kindly asked to put them away.

Everything about this place is out of the top drawer: spacious and tastefully decorated setting, knowledgable and attentive staff, good music, and brilliant coffee. Every cup is made to perfection and comes with an accompanying info card on the origins of the beans used, its characteristics, flavor notes etc. They've done a great job of creating an experience instead of taking the easy way by offering yet another cup of coffee served up at a yet another third stream cafe.

👍 A cozy restaurant with a view. I liked those Avocado chips very much. Comparatively budget friendly in central Amsterdam. (More ideal for a coffee date.) They are providing white bread with steak. . . PS: Don’t forget to reserve a table and visit the restaurant.
