The choice is here, as in most coffeeshops in the country. There is a small area where you can relax with a cup of coffee. Fast service is probably a significant advantage of this place. For tourists, they are ready to find time to talk about the differences of this or that canabis.

Kinda rude and below average product imho. Told me I wasn't welcome if I didn't buy a drink, even though I just had breakfast. The product had lower than average taste and smell even being mid tier in the menu. The attitude of the guy was rude. It's a shame because last year it was one of my preferred shops (no obligation of buying drinks, and I went there a number of times to buy flower consuming drinks here and there), and I was recommending it a lot on my cannabis podcast. Unfortunately can't recommend it anymore, and probably won't come back.

The guy told us to go away because we bought just 1g and was not enough to stay inside and roll. Extremely rude and arrogant, will never come back and don't advice anyone to come here And please don't come and say "our staff is never rude" and instead start working on actually never being rude.

Staff was pretty rude, they kicked us out for playing a dice game (Kniffel/Yatzi) after 10 minutes. We didn’t annoy any other customers by playing and weren’t loud. I understand that the owner can decide what is allowed and what isn’t i just don’t understand what the problem is. On a side note: There wasn’t any toilet paper either. Wouldn’t recommend this coffeeshop. Bluebird is the better option.

So rude, disgusting behavior. My friend left our hotel 15 minutes earlier than me and went to Papillon coffee shop and waited for me there. He bought 2 grams rolled a joint and chill. I go in and find my friend sit at the table. The cashier points his finger at me and tells me to go there. He started explaining to me that I can’t sit if I don’t buy anything, and I explained that we already bought the product we are about to consume with my friend. He says ”yeah everybody can go in and say this is my friend, and not buy anything.” I explained to him that what he was saying made no sense and that this is so rude. We just left, definitely didn’t feel welcome there, absolutely the wrong way to treat customers.

I went to this place looking for marijuana and they sold me 2 joints of tobacco for 10 euros. I feel cheated, bad experience. Pay attention to what they sell you for marijuana to go. I do not recommend this place at all, they took advantage of me.

Found this on my last night. Weed was good. Lounge was nice. It was quiet so was nice to relax with air conditioning aswell. The guy was a little rude but hey ho.

Nice Coffeeshop with nice People. Nice Lounge, nice music. We tried a lot of pre rolled stuff and edibles around Amsterdam, here you get the most tasty stuff. The Brownies are soo tasty. Come here and chill - we will come back. Greetings from Germany 👍

Great staff. Always helpful, polite and willing to answer any questions their customers ask them about their products. They are more than willing to give advice about the products they would recommend. Also are one of the few coffeeshops in the neighborhood that have the option to pay with debit cards instead of strictly cash. Unlike most other coffeeshops in the neighborhood who have no option to pay by credit or debit cards. I have been coming here for over 6 years(possibly longer) now and never felt let down or disappointed when buying my product(s) here! 5/5 stars but if I were to give the place a grade it would be an A+

Cozy place run by friendly and welcoming dutch people who will take their time to explain and show their products. The weed is great and also the hash. Good selection of grinders, rizla etc Lovely also to hang out and have a drink Will definitely be going back

Really Nice little shop, with a very nice and comfortable lounge with a big window that they keep open on days that permit it and it really makes it very enjoyable. The staff was very professional and easy going and the music was diverse and cool. The menu is both big and diverse and the prices are pretty decent. Definitely a shop to check out.

To sit there and enjoy what you buy, you have to also buy 1 drink per person. Menu is basic, there is no info about the products such as thc %, unlike other coffeeshops that have upgraded these details over time. All tv screens are blue which is not easy on the eyes (but you don't really go there to watch tv anyways ahaha).

The best coffeeshop in Amsterdam!! This is how all the coffeeshops in Amsterdam should be! Clean, affordable, good music, friendly and knowledgeable dealers😁 and very good haze! If you’r looking for the best coffeeshop in Amsterdam South/City come to Coffeeshop Papillon.

The joints are all filled with tobacco and minimal cannabis. And the brownies came with a warning, but were pretty weak. And no international card payments (Visa, MasterCard). Can't recommend.

This years-old, trusted and reliable neighbourhood coffeeshop is always good for range, quality & price of weed. I only just drop in occasionally to buy my 'grammetje' Bubblegum of zo, but the social areas look comfortable and relaxed.

Rude, racist customer service from the bearded guy at the front! I asked if they took anything other than card or euro cause my Visa was rejected for some reason and the guy replies with some snide, racist remark, “we don’t take Chinese currency bull****”. I am Asian but not Chinese first off but before going to the Netherlands, I was warned about racist behavior of the Dutch towards Asians and most towards Chinese. This is real. Please look it up. I was pretty disgusted and shocked by the guys comment and just left. I suggest not going here cause apparently from reading the comments, the only bad thing about this place is that guy’s rude behavior. Everything seems good I guess. But I suggest going to Original Dampkring(1 mile away) or Stones (very close). Their customer service was top notch compared to Papillon. It’s a such a shame this nice beautiful city has such disdain for Asians after Covid and now made its way into coffee shops like Papillon. Work on being cultural training I suppose?
