Lovely little rustic cafe along the red/1 tram line and right across from the Huygensstraat station. Delicious espresso drinks, the chorizo toasty sandwich really hit the spot, and the croissant was awesome. The kind of place I’d be a regular if I lived nearby.

This is a great place for either a cup of coffee, a sandwich, a piece of cake, sitting with your laptop, or all of the above combined. There's only one vegan sandwich, and even that is based on their Sunny sandwich, minus the cheese, but it was tasty. They do however have a vegan carrot cake and a vegan hot cocoa, which were great. Recommend.

Amazing discovery! I went there to get my morning coffee everyday for a week as it was in front of my hotel. Not only they know how to make a perfect cappuccino but they welcome you with a smile. I would like to thank the barista who was there on Thursday 19.10 in the morning, I had a problem with my credit card and she was about to offer me my coffee as she probably felt bad for me, luckily I had some cash on me and sorted the card problem later on. Thanks for being so nice, will definitely come back next year!

Welcome to Koffie Academie, this quirky hipster cafe where brewed with mastery dark potions are there to wake you up as you unfold the day before you. Croissants and cakes are light and tasty right to the point. So far nothing to deserve a 5, more of a 4, right? Here is where the outsider comes on stage: the ginger shot! It’s one of the very few places where it’s freshly made on the spot and it’s so loaded with ginger, turmeric and the right sprinkle of black pepper that you’ll wonder what have you had up to now. Hope this little detail won’t change ever, and I wish I had the recipe for that little spicy drink myself.

I dined here on Friday afternoon, it was a very cosy place and the guy who was preparing and serving was nice. I ordered "Cheesy" sandwich from their list of sandwiches, but mistakenly he brought me "Cheeky" which had Ham in it. I refused it, and he changed it immediately. Nice ambience, good location, the Wi-Fi wasn't working but I managed with hotspot. Small advice, they need to clean the walls and the tables, because in some places I saw spider webs. Which is not a very good thing to see where I sit and eat.

I enjoyed the coffee here for the majority of my stay in Amsterdam until the very last day when I was rudely approached by a staff member. One of the male baristas came to our table and informed me that I was extremely rude for bringing juice in from outside because they also make juices here (this was not infact my juice, but rather an empty bottle a friend had brought in because we had been using it to stuff our trash into as we walked along the canal. This place is honestly fabulous. Me and a friend were in Amsterdam for three days, found this place on the first day and went back every single day. Everyone is so friendly and after the first day our order was remembered and referred to as the usual. I can’t recommend Koffie Academy enough, planning more trips back to Amsterdam mostly because of this place. The coffee is amazing and the food is beautiful too (Highly recommend the coconut latte and monkey magic granola, go with an empty stomach though, you get a lot)!
