I Just ask for pasta without onion …. Because I’m allergic. Man say that in pasta is no onion… I see only onion. It look good only when they add arugula… I must add one star but for me it’s 0 stars. The worst place I ever been.

Had a “down day” so I did not want more healthy salads from AH. Instead decided to visit Julia’s on Amsterdam CS. I was hungry so ordered the largest portion of Penne Carbonara. Watched the preparation and felt somewhat disappointed when I received the box – it was not completely full. Another example of Shrinkflation? Nonetheless, the portion was in the end the right size and I could not eat more. The box was firm and sturdy so no problem eating from the box. The penne were cooked as I like them but you really need to stir the content. For some reason, the bacon was in the bottom and not on the top. Lastly and to be pedantic – it was not what I understand of carbonara. It was a more a cheese-bechamel sauce, but it tasted ok (with a strong pepper flavour).

We had the Penne Pesto Pollo and Penne Carbonara. The latter was the most delicious of the two. Got the butter and the chocolate croissants, which were just OK. Service was terrific and very friendly.

Before I ordered I said that our bus is leaving in 10 minutes and if it’s reasonable to take an order giving the time limit. The clerk said yes, of course. 8 minutes went by and I was getting nervous as the pasta was far by ready. The clerk reacted very thoughtlessly, rolled her eyes and said that the pasta takes 10 minutes to make (?!!). Than finally, smashed the box against the counter. Furthermore there wasn’t enough of sauce for the amount of pasta. If I could I would have wanted my money back.

Rude staff, worst coffee. I asked for a cappuccino and got over half a cup of froth, when I complained she said that's how it's done. What a joke, no wonder they had no-one in the shop when I went in. They have a cheek to call it Cucina Italiana. They need to learn how to make coffee the correct way not weak dishwater.😒😒😒

Not an authentic Italian place. That's for sure, but not to throw away. I had it in different locations and the pasta was prepared better. It often happens that they don't mix the sauce with the actual pasta but only putting it on top, as a commercial photo from the 90s. That's very unenjoyable, especially for take away, when the blank pasta left at the bottom become one giant colloidal piece! Please improve your method!

The service is astonishingly poor. When we asked for an extra fork, the manager showed a rude face. When we asked for a bag to carry our order, including a pasta box and a coffee, the manager refused but we saw another staff member was giving bags to other customers. We were irritated by such impolite service. As we are Asians, we also suspect whether the manager discriminated us as nom-locals. I highly recommend people not to consume this restaurant when you're travelling via Amsterdam Central Station.

I am writing this for your management to read. The girls at Amsterdam Central seem to be deeply depressed. This is a reason never to come back again. Even if the pasta is vegan and very tasty. Check on their well-being, please or replace them with people who want to be there and care about your business.

One of my favorites eatery and to go of all time in Amsterdam Central. Friendly service, fresh food and most importantly fast and easy. Their cream cheese bread and crossaints are one of the best I could find nearby. Highly recommended.

May 2023: I am still coming here. In my book, this is a 5+/5 in the context of takeaway sandwiches. October 2022: Today I had a Sandwich (broodje) Caprese Prosciutto. It was a filling meal with a pleasant feeling after. As a takeout, I got it wrapped in a wet paper that held together. This was a 5/5 for me.

Very chill atmosphere, just there to eat and go! Very nice service and food as good as always! Penne Pesto is my all time fav, I used to eat it after gym when I was living in Amsterdam; good night food as it’s open to late, and good lunch/snack for anyone who is hitting the gym. Will be back again when I come to Amsterdam.

I just experienced a scene where the maybe manager in charge, a male, was telling the employees off out loud in front of the whole restaurant regarding their lack of communication while there was people waiting to order and many others eating. It’s really bad taste to do this in public and should be kept in the private areas of the restaurant. I’m guessing he was trying to humiliate them and it’s just awful management.

Google maps says it opens at 06:00. I was infront of firmly shut glass doors at 07:05. The employee watched me whilst casually applying lipbalm, then proceeded to take out what looked like an order folder from under the counter and started making notes in it. I waited a few moments more but soon gave up hope for my morning coffee. At this point it was 07:10.

Worst pasta I have ever had. Tasteless and the basic leaves were not even properly cleaned- I could taste the sand!

The pasta was decent in taste but the quantity was less that what we hoped for.

Great food with fresh ingredients. Ordered 2 sandwiches and a medium pasta. Pasta Portion size was good for 2 people. Order was prepared quickly. Would recommend!

Ever so average. Pesto pollo is watery and flavour does not stand out. If it wasn’t for the additional optional pesto on top, I would not have been able to taste any pesto at all. The chicken was very salty and boiled. Nevertheless it’s edible and the price is lower than most restaurants around... Customer service was great.

If you care about the environment, don‘t eat here! I was shocked to see that they have each portion of raw noodles they prepare frozen in their OWN plastic bag. So for each order, they open a new plastic bag. It makes no sense for a kitchen and produces unnecessary amounts of plastic waste!

Low quality fastfood. Only good point: they can serve you in circa 5 minutes. But it is tasteless. NOT freshly cooked because all sauces are industrially processed, they come in plastic bags. Heavy to digest (nasty burps after eathing this stuff). Not even by far similar to the Italian recipes that they claim, such as Carbonara, Norma, etc. Finally, they claim that it is "hand made" (fatta a mano, in Italian) but it is a lie. Lies are really not nice, and sorry your pasta is a lie compared to hand made pasta.

I love Julia's. I think this is the best fast food you can eat. Always freshly prepared and you can find on stations. You can choose you favourite pasta and sauce add extras and in couple of minutes you can enjoy. I wish they had also branches on smaller stations and in the cities itself. Maybe one day?

Good for a quick and relatively healthy bite! The new vegan Bolognese sauce is a very nice option.

Ordered a large box penne norma, they put all the saus up top but it was not enough for the large portion I ordered. When I reached halfway I could see that everything below was dry and I tried my best to mix the remaining saus (not enough) but sadly I am left with 30% dry pasta to finish in the train. While ordering there were orders that went out and got taken by the wrong customers leaving others with no order after 10min of wait. Because of the mess up they delayed my order and many others further and I almost missed my train that had a 20min window when I walked in. In other locations I tried this never occured. However the seats + tables to sit at were very clean and it did look nice.

The pasta tasted worse than the last time I ate it. And the employees also had a bad attitude, and I didn't like eating in here, so I took it outside.

My friend who I invited here says the pesto could be better, he loves pesto. But for me it is a great choice if you are looking for a place to eat around the station!

Very welcoming and friendly. Had a bit of a laugh with the barista on how we were so obviously British. Worrying. Expensive for what were got but not for where we were

Pasta was good, but the sandwiches were not good.

Thia is the most radiculous place I have ever been. I was trying to order coffe and desert at 15:55, and the very depressed woman told me no, she doesn't have time to take the desert. Is that a joke?

Staff was good, service was fast. However, the pasta penne veggie bolognese was quite tasteless. Better to order something else.

"we cook the pasta properly until 15:00h. and after that we make it like that" 🤯 Where "like that" = prewarmed/overcooked sauce on the hot plate(which has probably been there for hours + precooked pasta) Shouldn't then the price be lower for a second hand meal?! 🤔 I really don't wanna imagine whats the condition of the take away ones when they arrive 🤣 If I could give less than 1* I would... THIS IS NOT HOW U MAKE FRESH PASTA! Worst "pasta" I have had in years! Definitely NOT recommended!

Penne pasta pollo is wonderful. But my friends dient like Carbonara and Bolognese.

Great location and unit. However, as soon as you approach the cashier ( the dark hair guy and black wear) the whole visit turns regretfully. I noticed other views asking the management to address this serious lack of customer service with no response. I am asking investors, review and see how unhappy customers are before you part with your funds. Location: Central station Amsterdam.

Dissapointed unfortunately. Wouldn't spend my money there again.

I've had some really horrible coffee in The Netherlands, but none were as bad as this. Not to mention the incompetent and rude wait staff.

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
