Personally I don’t think it’s worth it. Ones in America seem much better. Mostly just for kids. It was €24.50 each for two people and we spent very little time here because there wasn’t a lot. Very little staff interaction, not even a welcome from what I remember. No staff floating around once you pass the entrance gates. Very very poor. Much better attractions in Amsterdam for the price such as Madame Tussaud’s and Wonder etc. each to their own, but I’d be careful.

An amazing experience! I had so much fun. It is an eye opener to other cultures, history etc. I spent here easily 4 hours because I used time to read as many exhibitions as I could. I went there with my mom and siblings, all adults. We had lots of fun. For me personally, it was worth the time and money.

It's a must see place in Amsterdam. There's an underground paid parking facility in a 3 min walking distance. So, better not to waste time looking for a roadside parking. Need to book the tickets online. There's a KFC and McDonald's close by. It's an interesting place to visit for adults and kids. Can easily spend a minimum of 2 hrs to visit all the 3-4 levels inside the building.

Believe it or not, this is one of the most amazing museum in Amsterdam. You will see some of the strangers, most extreme, weirdest, and the most unbelievable things here. It challenges your mind and beliefs, which is what a museum should do. What good is going to a museum if you come out of it did not change anything in your thinking? This is a museum that won't disappoint you. Because you will see all the extent of things that are possible in this big big world, and it is much more than your thing before going in. It certainly changed our mind, and we are pretty sure it would change your thinking too. So give it a try, I think you will be amazed.

Would say it's at same level as the Ripley's in NYC! Well done. View from the coffee place is very nice.

Interesting setup, if you are a keen fan of the TV series, this place may be abit under whelming if you are keen to see original aged items. Lots of replicas. Though every piece has an interesting story behind it. Be careful of the rotating light tunnel, it'll mak your mind spin around

I really enjoyed this museum. Really interesting bits and pieces and not too much reading and thinking to it. Just quick interesting bits of information. I particularly enjoyed the ‘pop culture’ section. There were cool art pieces, well worth a look at. Would definitely recommend incorporating this into your visit in Amsterdam.

Some of the exhibits on the display, wait most of the exhibits on the display are already known to most of us. Mostly because of the fact that they are way too old, and thanks to YouTube. These are not really “believe it or not” stuff anymore. But, if you have kids with lot of energy and enthusiasm, please drop em off here. They will have a fun ride. I would recommend you to escort them.

A friend recommended to me as he went with his children who were eight and five at the time. Me and my partner purchased our tickets and turned up and was expecting a good time, but it wasn’t for us unfortunately. Sorry Ripley’s not your fault but I should have done more research

It was an amazing experience! I grew up watching the show about a crazy man travelling all over the world and collecting unbelievable stories and artifacts to go along with it. It has been magical to be able to touch it and experience this on my own! The exposition is very well done, one doesn't need a lot of knowledge to understand the enormous amount of money put there. Good quality, various themes, very entertaining and interactive. We also enjoyed a drink at the top of the building after the exposition - it offers amazing views and a chance to sit down and relax in a nice atmosphere. Totally recommend it! P.S Kids go crazy there! 👀😂

Very cool Museum! The mixture was pretty confusiung (from torture exhibitions to robotic stuff, ancient stuff etc.). I think its worth its money, even though there is nothing to interact, nor will you push buttons and something will start to move ;D In the end I spend 18€ for 2,5h of fun, so its worth it.

Great laugh walking round reading the weird and wonderful things on display. If you get chance to visit try go in happy hour, only cost us €16 each down from €22. Some brilliant things inside. From the space walkway to a few hidden cameras that are funny.

(Translated by Google) I was skeptical after there are plenty of overpriced nonsense in Amsterdam to be seen in 2 minutes, well this is one of the best museums I have ever seen, interesting and even amazing, informative, funny, exciting, everyone finds their calculation small, big, interested in the world’s curiosities, who are having fun. It takes at least an hour to go through it all, but if you read everything, there are more. And I'm serious if I could choose anyone in history to be who I would be, Robert Ripley 🙂💯 (Original) Szkeptikus voltam azok után hogy rengeteg 2 perc alatt megnézhető túlárazott hülyeség van Amszterdamban, nos ez az egyik legjobb múzeum amit valaha láttam, érdekes, sőt elképesztő, inofmatív, vicces, izgalmas, mindenki megtalálja a számítását kicsi, nagyok, akiket a világ érdekességei érdekelnek, akiket a szórakozás. Minimum egy óra az egészet végigjárni, de ha mindent elolvas az ember, akkor több. És komolyan mondom ha bárkit választhatnék a történelemből, hogy ki lehetnék, Robert Ripley lennék 🙂💯

This was my first time to visit Ripley’s Believe It or Not and I was actually stunned by the facts and uniqueness of our world we live in. This museum is fantastic. After entering I forced myself to go out after 4 hours due to my other plans in Amsterdam. This is definitely a visit and you can have fun making video and photos with various unique models. I loved making mine with Robert Wadlow model and still cherish it. I felt it was sufficiently crowded but as I heard it was less crowded due to pandemic. I guess advantage of travelling during pandemic I got so many clean and solo pictures. I also could spend good time at each display sometime though had to rush due to wait line. Overall fantastic place, worth a visit if you are in Amsterdam.

Pleasantly surprised by this museum. It's like a museum for people with ADHD or short attention spans. Our son wanted to go and we were non-plussed but we all loved it, learned loads and had much fun!

Fun 'museum' with tons of interesting and odd curiosities. The tag phrase 'believe it or not' is surely fitting here. All in all a very entertaining place to visit. Must-see when in Amsterdam.

It was fun. But still... it is not baby- friendly. First of all, the lift was broken, so we left the strollers downstairs. Then, the theme is a little bit strange and my friends' kid got scared because of the exhibition. It is not necessary to print the tickets. I would recommend some fresh juice at the restaurant. The team is very nice ♥️

It's freezing outside but the museum is so fun. Ripley is like the Greatest Showman Hugh Jackman's character. Brilliant adventurous lifestyle. Make us realize that there are so many things beyond our imagination. There's a cute cafe upstairs. Best place to warm up and rest a bit before head out to the cold cold winter.

A very interesting and funny experience, we spent about an hour in there...it is very expensive though. It may not be worth it to some people but for us it was. Only negative thing besides the price: some interactive things were broken We went at 10am on a Sunday and it was pretty empty and we had many parts of the museum for ourselves. Ps. The scary route isn't scary but I wouldn't go there with a young child

Well, I didn't like it. And it was not at all as I expected. Started off with a boring time line and I wish I hadn't come to this place. Spend your time on some better activity in Amsterdam. Sorry to say, It was a disappointment since the start and it continued till the end. It felt like it's a kid's version of Ripley's Museum. Oh and on the start, I read a fact related to Hindi culture and it was WRONG! According to our 'Hindu' books and so I lost all trust in the beginning. Most things were just fact you can find on Google. Nothing fancy. Only thing I liked was the belt buckle collection.

Amazing! Me and my friends forgot our coupons at home, so i just asked the guy from the crew (i think he can speak every language) if there are any other chances for reduction. He gave us a 6€ coupon, which was very nice. The museum itself is very fascinating, with a lot of weird and cool stuff. Thank you for this experience.

I'd absolutely recommend a visit. We were said it was going to take us 1,5h to visit. We needed 3h. Iit was not only really interesting, but also the funniest museum stay I ever had. There are just so many bizarre exhibits with a extraordinary background. There are also same interactive parts where you can push buttons or crawl into something or try your skills.

The place is strategically located at Dam Square, and so if you are done early you would still have lot of other stuff to do. The entire place will take about 2-3 hours depending upon your interest. The cafeteria up doesn't have much options. The experience was good, and we got to know lots of information which we didn't know earlier... TIP: Look out for the discount on the different portal.

An interesting place to explore from all the weird and wonderful things in the world. The Transformer model is absolutely huge and extremely impressive to look at in all its detail. The cafe is located at the top of the building along with the toilets. It's a generous sized cafe with great views outside the quaint little windows. You're typically looking at spending about 1.5hrs here.

🇳🇱 when you travel with teenagers, it’s nice to find fun activities. Ripley’s museum makes the job. From my mind it’s a bit aging, kind of 3D old school Guiness book, but it works, my 14y and 18y sons enjoyed 🥳

Nice museum ! Worth to visit. BUT for those who are with smaller kids I recommend to pay attention to the scary part of the museum. Its really scary. Kids even didnt wanted to continue. Its almost the beginning of the museum and personally I needed to leave museum with 5 years old child. Unfortunatelly they didnt payed money back not for adult, and even not for child. The decision we found by ourselves just skip that floor and go to another. Other parts are really interesting and nice.

It's a fun place! I visited Ripley's first time in Thailand a couple years ago when I was younger and I remembered that I liked it and it was fun. They have a lot of things you can see in here and I love the mirror photo on every stairs. The whole building is for Ripley's and you need to check on every floors. On the top floor is a bar or cafe to drink and chill and it was pretty big. I didn't spend much time in there because it was a bit busy but I really enjoyed it!

I visited the museum on March 2022. It was an amazing experience, I didn't realize how the time passed (i think we were there for 2 hours). For me it is definitely worth the money, it has many things to see which are impressive and you hadn't heard about them before. 🪄🙆🏻‍♀️

Loads of fun for all ages. Crazy exhibits and furniture. Some of the descriptions were absolutely hilarious. Would return but $30 (22.50 euro) is a bit steep. Make sure you get tickets on the website before you go, even if you buy on your phone as you enter the place you save 10%.

Fantastic museum! Some really fascinating displays of stuff found throughout the world and from history. Detailed plates explaining everything you need to know about the finds. It's all around a really fun and interesting place.

  • 5/5 Jeffrey B. 1 year ago on Google
Can’t say anything that hasn’t been said already. This was a lot of fun and had a ton of cool stuff to see. Fans of the show in the late 90s and early 2000s will remember a few of the things on display here, too. There are a few things that younger kids might be afraid of so know that before going in. More open-minded youngsters will do fine. There’s a split in the your at one point where there’s a scary option and a “chicken” option. The scary option was less scary and more morbid so parents beware. Definitely a cool trip and we had a lot of fun. A highlight of your trip.

Amazing! One of the best bits we did in Amsterdam! Will always recommend this. So fascinating and interactive. This was such a fun museum that just kept going! Give yourself plenty of time, we allowed and hour and a half and could have really done with more. So much fun and so interesting.

Really a great place to visit with kids. 1 - 1.5 hr is enough. A lot of exciting stuff, interesting facts inside. Location is easy to find and really great, in the heart of Dam square. Cafe eas not working. But should not be an issue as there are a lot of places to get drink or meal.

Believe it or not they had some good exhibits and great mini theatres and dance floors etc.More directed at a younger crowd not too young as some of the content can cause a little bit of distress in younger people. There is like no airco in the joint so be prepared to roast as you climb up through the 4 levels. All in all great fun for families and old people alike 😊.

Great place to visit and lots to see. I would recommend booking your time slot as it was very busy when we went. The museum is spread over 4/5 floors and waiting at the top is a really nice cafe.

Fascinating facts and LOADS of information. Would highly recommend it as a Day activity, or to do as a family friendly activity. Could definitely spend 2-3 hours in here. Glad we visited 😊

It is really a great experience, worth the price, if you like information, this is the place to be. Each floor has a different theme, take the scary route inside, its not really scary and def worth seeing. I had a lot of fun, I suggest it to all. My fav part was the African tribe traditions.

A Really fun and interesting time, you get to see a lot of bizzare and rare things otherwise thought to be impossible, highly recommend

Half of the interactive things were broken, and the few musical one’s weren’t free… overall a good experience but considering the price I think they should check everything works or at least warn people about it before they buy the tickets.

I hesitated in the beginning to enter, but I did visit it and I don’t regret it. Kids were amazed by most of it, very interesting 2 hours of information 👍🏼 I really recommend it for everyone

This was my 2nd visit to this ripleys, and I was expecting it to be the same when I was there a good few years ago, but I'm so glad they had changed a few things! This attraction does have a lot of plaques to read from, and if that's what you're interested in, then you could spend a good couple of hours here. I think we spent roughly about an hour or just over an hour in ripleys.

Ripley's believe it not is a museum that you must visit when you are in Amsterdam, because it is very interesting to visit, there are many strange things in it, so we can find out there are many strange things that are happening in this world, they summarize it and present it especially for the visitors, nothing is boring in this museum, everything is extraordinary, amazing, especially with the flywheel spinning with the thump of very loud music, I almost don't have the courage to go through it, but I have no choice to skip it because that's just one way to get to the next stage, I'm very lucky because I can see the statue of fertility from Africa. It is said that anyone who doesn't have children will immediately be given pregnant if we touch the statue, I hope that happens to me and my husband, I hope i have a baby immediately

A lot of interesting things to see and you can literally spend hours marveling at all the artefacts. We went during New Years Day, but didn't feel cramped or overcrowded. Be warned, the tunnel is very very trippy.

It was a bit underwhelming, personally I expected a lot more interactive things. It's basically just a museum. It was alright for a museum but the website made me believe there was more interaction than there was.

Absolutely amazing place, by far the best museum i’ve ever seen, it is a must to see this place if you are visiting amsterdam.
