We went there above all to see the old house, which is really worth seeing. But the Bible Museum is very interesting, too, with old bibles, pictures, etc. and a good explanation by the audioguide. You also get the information you have missed by email. And there is a beautiful café with good coffee and sweets.

Went here just 35 mins before it closed for the day and the receptionist was kind enough to charge us for only 3 tickets even though there were 4 of us. Lots of history about the family that lived here but the highlight is the Bible Museum section with some of the oldest Bibles ever printed. Plenty of taxidermy as well.Audio guides are included in the ticket price which is €10 per adult.Elevator and restrooms available.There's also a cafe and a museum shop.Best way to come here is by tram as the lack of ample parking nearby makes coming in a car an absolute nightmare.

One of my fav places in Amsterdam: every detail is beautiful. It’s usually quiet, no crowds, one could easily spend an entire day at Cromhouthuis!

Lovely collections of things that were amassed by wealthy Amsterdamers at different times. Don't bother about the Bible collection, though it's got many items from Egypt & Palestine, in addition to models & made up diorama. Check the café downstairs, with a nice little garden.

Beautiful historic canal house with a stunning interior. Gives an insight into how people lived some 300 years ago. Also the relationship to the American independence is made there, president Adams was an acquaintance of the places’ owner. More details of the story are told in the museum. Next to this, it would also be a great place to go for a bite in the garden, very relaxed with multiple private corners. So if you have a museumkaart, it’s totally worth it to just go there for lunch.

See how a super rich Dutch family from centuries ago indulged themselves in luxury. On the top floor is the Bible Museum - you can get a whiff of some old theological documents in Dutch and interesting models illustrating old testamental events. Very unique combination of the two museums.

Honestly didn't like it that much. House is wonderful ok, but for entrance fee 50% of Rijksmuseum or even more considering van gogh or maritime museum I would expect something more.
