Amazing experience! First time in a ship like that! The entrance fee is included to the general ticket price. In the middle deck there is a room offering a VR experience, depicting the canals of Amsterdam at the golden era, 16 with 17 century. Not to mention the various activities that someone can do around the ship.

This is a rebuild, looks very close to the real one. I am not sure about the cannons but they look very real. The ship has 3 levels. Bottom is for the cargo, middle for the cannons and top for the captain and crew to muster it. You can walk around and can also dummyfire the cannons, it was fun.

Very beautiful VOC ship replica! You can visit three floors and see canons and the weapon and ammunition storage space. Besides this they have a very cool virtual reality (VR) experience. In the VR experience you fly through old Amsterdam during the high times of yhe VOC. The captain room is also very nice to view as well as the view from the ship in general.

Absolutely super cool :) This is a life-sized replica of the VOC ship Amsterdam fully open to public. It's part of The Maritime Museum, so you need to walk through the main building and exit to the dock to get to it. You can climb aboard and walk through all the decks, turn the big rudder wheel, swing in the sleeping hamocks, all sorts of things. It's practically a big playing ground/jungle jim for kids and adults alike. We had the I Amsterdam Card which grants you free access but you have to reserve the date of visit (not precise timeslot, just the day you'd like to visit).

GREAT place to let your imagination run wild! There is a restored coal fired boat on the same pier, that few were paying attention to.

This was so very cool! A huge replica ship with plenty of space to walk around on all four levels, things for adults and kids to do and learn about. It was a very impressive addition to the awesome museum which gave a conscious head nod to the terror of the Dutch East India Company (VOC).

Cool replica of an old ship. Kids enjoyed following the clues around the ship that lead to the play area in the lower levels. Great views of the NEMO museum.

Beautiful ship integrated in canal landscape, it provides amazing views of the city. An excellent option to visit with kids, a lot of information about naval history and sea navigation. The price of the ticket is affordable and it also includes a visit to the museum. There’s also a big patio with a restaurant on the first floor for a drink afterwards

a nice copy of ship from times when everything was driven by the wind. But if you are over 170cm take care of your head.

The ship is quite an interesting sight. Everybody has an idea on what a ship looks like and how it works, but moving between the decks and pulling the ropes yourself, seeing it at work is a different dimension to this knowledge. That being said, it could be explained better, there could be some demonstrations of how the sails were put on and such. And more descriptions. The steering wheel "game" wasn't explained in any way and the volume level was just too soft to understand in the windy conditions.

After seeing this replica , i am sure i would have loved the real ship ride. For those who didn’t fit in that ship, it’s 3 time smaller than the real ship😅

The ship takes about 20 minutes to walk through all levels. It could use more information boards to make the experience more educational. Kids would enjoy it as they can touch everything.

If you want to visit the ship, do it during sunset. Well reserved memory of huge mirror return ships.

Excellent museum covering Amsterdam's golden age. The life size recreation of a Dutch East India Company trader warship is not to be missed.

A nice experience visiting this ship which is totally restored with all the details set it is looking exactly the same like I'm guessing was looking in the XVII Th. century when was in service. A nice masterpiece which definitely worth visiting.

This is a well documented and well curated exhibit of an authentic (replica) tall ship from the age of sail.
