A visit to the Cobra Museum had been on our wish list for a while. The exhibitions about Cuban photographer Alberto Korda and Moroccan modernists made us decide to visit the museum and this was a great experience as can be seen in the photos and clips.

Not a lover of modern art myself, but was still positively surprised. Mix this June 2022 of Japanese art, Fidel Castro's photographer and contemporary Moroccan art. Good to see once.

I love this museum! It's often overlooked as it is not situated in Amsterdam. Amstelveen is a short distance from Amsterdam and is easily reached by public transport. This museum of modern art is highly recommended and there is always an exciting and carefully curated exhibitions in addition to the permanent ones. Go and visit...you won't regret it. The location in the city centre (Stadshart) is full with shops, theatre, restaurants and cafés.

Came here for the Frida Kahlo exhibition which was nice, but it was way too crowded. Also, the audio guide tour didn’t make too much sense and it didn’t feel like a natural way of moving through the exhibition. The rest of the museum was quite dark and didn’t seem displayed up to standard. Glad we got to see the Kahlo exhibition though.

The Cobra Museum of Modern Art in Amstelveen in the Netherlands is a small museum with a collection of works of Karel Appel and other Cobra artists. The works are not crammed together, zo there is time en place to enjoy them.

A nice building just aside the beautiful designed pond or canal. Clam. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I visited the Frida Kahlo exb, not too much pieces of arts but the museum provides a detailed leaflet and we can also download the audio guide in the smartphone. All is well organised. Good for value.

Thoroughly enjoyed this museum & the exhibition celebrating 75 years since Cobra started. Beautiful art, spacious setting & not crazy busy like the downtown museums.

Something bad is going on in this place. There are a lot of posts on social media, everything looks professional and interesting, but when I get to the museum, they don't honor my museum card. It started with a number of exhibitions where the entrance to some areas was free with the museum card and part of the museum was for an additional fee. I don't understand why the conduct is amateurish. I hope things will change and in the future they will honor my museum card again. Thanks Goede kunst!!! good art. my favourite museum. this time i had to pay extra b/c of a specific exhibition (half of the museum), even though i have a museumcard. This was a great dissapointment. The guy taking in the bags was very nice and professional.

Even though we were popping in for the airconditioning on a brutally hot day, we enjoyed the Picasso drawings of the Balzac 'unknown masterpiece' and the very colorful kids drawings! Great inspiration for my 11 year old. Seeing the Dutch CoBrA heritage of Appel and Corneille was interesting! Cool beans, for their 75 year anniversary you get a €10 voucher to spend in their own cafe and free glass of Cava in a nearby cafe! Me Dutchy like!

I didn't have much time before I had to leave Amsterdam and the centre was a bit hectic for me. I went on a market day which was great to check out on my walk from the tram station. I ended up crying to a painting for the first time here today! It was in the Ovartaci exhibition.

I liked how they present Frida Khalo and Diego Rivera work. Is different, informative. I like the audio app. The open till 10 pm! That is big plus, you can enjoy and visit longer this museum.

This is a spot you must see if you have time to get out of the center and explore a bit. Eat at the market nearby and check out this museum that highlights and extremely cool and important movement in Euro art history. Super nice staff as well.

The Museum hosts at the moment a temporary exhibition of Danish Cobra artists, which is not well explained why and what were they trying to achieve. While being a museum of one movement it doesn't explain the basics of what it was all about, therefore the abstract expressionist paintings look like child play. Nice exhibition of Ovarici though.

Went here about 2 years ago and I honestly wasn't overly impressed with the exhibitions then hosted. Today this was different. The museum deserves 5 stars because of several reasons. The staff is very polite, courteous and knowledgeable about their exhibitions. The layout of the museum is very nice. The location is right next to a large parking garage. The quality of the exhibitions this time was amazing. We were very impressed with the African art exhibit. We'll be back.

A must-visit twice a year, whenever they change exhibitions. They *could* have remained a stuffy, old-fashioned museum, but they didn't! Nice café and gift shop too.

Too much people and bad lighting for the paintings. Very few paintings of Frida. It's actually more an overvol of the Geller collection. The entrance took very long and i had to be checked twice for my ticket. Wait in line twice. The second person didnt know anything about the museum. Nobody told me where to find the exhibición. All in all too expensive and too crowded, although i had to reserve a certsin time. Also no one checked the QR code for covid!

Cobra style is inspiring, but maybe not easy understood by the mainstream. Enjoying the exhibition about Frida Kahlo and Fiego Rivera.

Interesting museum that gives a clear idea of the Cobra movement in modern art. I visited the Frida Kahlo and Diego Riviera exhibition and really enjoyed how it was put together.

👍👍 Truest authentic cheese and clogs making experience. Better than Zaanse Schaans . The farm owner has been making cheese for 4 generations . The smoaked cheese is incredible. Well worth the trip out. Bathrooms could use some improvement but the rest is truly authentic Dutch farm style . Was brilliant
