We were offered the 'tour' for free as part of the Hop On Hop Off bus tour and it seemed to be an interesting option to get a closer look at a distinct business. However, the 'tour' lasted about 15 minutes max and involved one room where you could have a look at staff members working on diamonds and historical tools. Even though the history of the company was visible on the walls, very little information was provided. Afterwards, the group was asked into a show room where diamonds were presented and information about different cuts and carats were given and how they influence the price. Then the 'tour' quickly turned into a sales show. Different jewelry pieces and watches were shown with prices followed by the announcement that these would be'special offers' for this day. Let's be honest, do they think anyone who can spontaneously buy diamonds and jewelry for that price would take a Hop On Hop off bus tour? A very awkward and disappointing experience.

The display of rings and diamonds in enticing and gents need to be careful, women can just drool over those shiny diamonds. Brilliant 121 cut by Gassan is amazingly beautiful and brilliant 57 is also marvellous. City sight tour busses at Amsterdam stop here for the free factory tour. Also accessible by cruise boat. The tour is free, entails lots of learning and valuable experience, the tour ends with a complimentary cup of coffee or tea. Worthwhile experience, must do while in Amsterdam.

We enjoyed the trip .

I was fortunate enough to visit and tour their magnificent factory a few years back. I admire the heritage of the business, but also the excellent artisans that work and cut/polish the diamonds . I'll be visiting Amsterdam again in May, and looking forward to visiting again.

It was the right length of time for children too-I took my 17 and my 11 year old, whose attention was held to the very end by our very knoweledgeable and personable guide, Tracey. The history of the company is compelling- if a little sad -but at least it ended well for Samuel who had so much resource and resilience. This story is well told on the plaques on the wall with great visuals. I was particularly taken by the Gassan cut, which is unique. The lovely man on the gate allowed me to park my bike within the safety of the company parking area which was a nice touch. Fabulous shop at the end! Definitely worth a visit.
