The Museumplein is a large square with a lot of the museums of Amsterdam surrounding it. Most famous are the Van Gogh museum and Rijksmuseum. The large area is especially popular on sunny days and people โ€œpicnicโ€ and hangout on the grass. Not worth looking for as it is just a large grass field, but might as well sit and enjoy the sun if you have some spare time and the sun is out.

Beautiful park/square in Amsterdam. With selected and excellent museums in the periphery (e.g. Rijksmuseum, Moco, Staedelik Museum, Van Gogh Museum, etc.). This is also a great place to sit and enjoy the impressions (and also a coffee).

Lovely square for everyone to sit and admire these amazing buildings filled with such rich history! Absolutely beautiful and the gardens are all so well kept with lots of place for people all around. Felt super safe walking here alone as well !

The Museumplein is a huge, somewhat boring square in Amsterdam. There is an area of โ€‹โ€‹water that mutates into an ice rink in winter. As a tourist, you were happy about the red and white lettering in front of the Rijksmuseum on the edge of the square. "I amsterdam" stood there, more than two meters high and 23 meters wide, the perfect backdrop for a selfie against a historical background. Thousands of visitors presented themselves here every day, the most popular being the "d". People were able to pose and laugh, the ensemble was iconic, almost like the Eiffel Tower or Trevi Fountain. But it was also a symbol of the mass tourism that plagues Amsterdam. That's why it had to go.

The Museumplein Christmas Village in Amsterdam is a festive wonderland that deserves every star! The sheer variety of shops offering ornaments, gifts, food, drinks, and snacks is impressive, catering to every festive need. The lovely and friendly people add to the warmth of the place, making it a joyous shopping experience. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Museumplein, the entire village is beautifully decked out in Christmas splendor, truly capturing the holiday spirit. I couldn't resist indulging in the plethora of delicious food while also snagging a lovely A5 print of Amsterdam. This magical village is a must-visit for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the true essence of Christmas!

Cool park centrally located from all these wonderful Dutch museums. As I left the Van Gogh museum, I came across an impromptu concert by Sam Ryder. It was a wonderful unexpected highlight of my trip to Amsterdam. I wish people would smoke less in public in Amsterdam. Aside from that, on nice warm days, this park would be a lively and fun place to be.

This park is absolutely amazing, boasting an abundance of lush greenery and breathtaking beauty that is truly awe-inspiring. The natural landscape is carefully maintained, creating a serene atmosphere that is ideal for relaxation and rejuvenation. It is evident that the park is well-cared for and serves as a testament to the importance of preserving and promoting green spaces in urban environments.

The museumplein in Amsterdam is an undeniably breathtaking location, and it truly shines during Kings Day. The Plein is brimming with talented musicians and artists, creating a vibrant atmosphere. It's the perfect place to enjoy a delightful lunch from the Albert Heijn located on the corner, and you can choose to have a picnic on the lush grass or against the wall of the picturesque pond. One highlight of my visit was the van Gogh gift shop, which is a treasure trove of exquisite souvenirs. I was captivated by the wide array of beautifully crafted items available. Additionally, if you're fortunate enough, you might stumble upon the iconic IAmsterdam letters, offering an ideal opportunity for a lovely photo to commemorate your time at the Plein

A large green area is great for resting after visiting the city or one of the surrounding museums. There are also benches in the shade.

Very relaxed vibe and very clean. Be aware of the bikes, and make sure to take your time whilst in the park. Found this amazing little fountain (with drinkable water) that resembles the the sink in the girl's lavatory at Hogwarts. Very peaceful place, very silent and calm.

If you plan to come to the Ice Village, don't. It's a small "S" shaped pop up that is not crowd monitored. Super packed, hard to move, and a clostrophobic person's nightmare. Don't waste your time, it's not worth the stress and uneasiness. The website made it look so much bigger and better.

Ice skating in the winter, picnicking in the summer, skateboarding and basketball all year long, and of course the museum's all around the square. The finishing touch is the very beautiful concert building (Het Concertgebouw) at the other side of the square. Great place to visit for multiple occasions ๐Ÿ‘

Place to be when in Amsterdam! Amazing major museums located right next to each other: the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, and Stedelijk Museum, also the concert hall Concertgebouw. There is much more to see here: diamonds museums, house of Bols, Moco museum. The square is easily accessible by bus, tram, bike & car (there is an underground car parking). During winter a small Christmas market takes place and there is a lovely ice skating rink. You can attend various open air events here (festivals, celebrations, sometimes even demonstrations).
