Nice chill city park. Not to far from the busy city center area. Great place to get some food, drinks, a blanket and a ball and spend a couple of hours destressing. And as a bonus you get to admire the family of storks living high in the chimney top.

We love going here and visiting the playground. The only huge problem is that there are no real restrooms available. You have to beg to pee. And I find that's a huge problem in Amsterdam at large. If you have young kids, and therefore have pregnant and postpartum mothers or potty training toddlers, or babys that need a nappy change, you need to have a place to use the restroom. It's ridiculous how little public areas to do this there are. At the nearby chique restaurant they actually don't allow this officially and as a pregnant woman they made an exception. I find it very problematic and not exemplary of good taste to refuse a pregnant person!
