Lovely place for a walk, hike, chilling out or just a nap in the sun. Plenty of dogs around so it means you can bring your own little one; same goes for kids, meaning its a family friendly place. While not Amsterdam's best park, definitely worth a visit!

I loved it. This also feels like that one village from the first Hobbit movie. Walking around the small alleys around these tiny houses with big yards. People having barbeque and relaxing with their dogs. It's magical. Stopped by with a friend to have a beer there. I really liked it. Keep in mind the gates close 'at sunset' until 'sunrise' which is very non descriptive. Just make sure not to stay in there until late because you'll be locked in automatically.

all good, structured and clean garden. however, i would wish somebody would check the garden for remaining visitors before closing time or at least put a sign at the side entries that the gate closes automatically after 9pm e.g. we almost were stuck in the garden over the night, since it was our first time in this garden, luckily somebody opened the door for us but imagine nobody would've been there! :/

This hidden gem is a little park within the Westerpark. Not many people do know it's a public garden between sunset and sunrise. Just like the neighboring Park Sloterdijkermeer. Meaning everyone is allowed in to dwell around the two parks and enjoy the 600+ gardens people have created. Tennant's pay an annual fee of about 800euro to maintain an 300m2 garden where they can add a little house and even stay overnight between March-December. In the winter season the park is closed for tennants and the public as nature has to recover. During the opening season there are also activities for everyone to join. There are also large soccerfields where people can play ball. The main entrance is to be found at the side of the traintracks, but there is also a little side entrance at the city side of the park ("the bretten pad"). It's worthwhile to check this entrance too. It's nice to explore this hidden park within the park and enjoy the city biodiversity and nature life.

nice to walk, unique for me because houses sorrounded trees, woods, flowers in the garden park and full of twittering birds there. Beutiful place and it makes my mind peaceful.

An absolutely beautiful and fascinating way to spend a couple of hours outdoors in Amsterdam. It was a magical flora wonderland of tiny homes, and it reminded me a bit of the Secret Garden.

If course not as famous as Vondelpark in Amsterdam,but you will get what you need as a “tourist” from the nature!

This is a nice public park to visit. Just randomly walk the maze and enjoy this historic recreational area.

Cute park and probably much cuter during spring and summer time!

Such a lovely park! Beautiful all year round!

Open between May and September this hidden gem is situated in westerpark. Perfect if you want to enjoy a walk in a quite area. Enjoy looking at the plants and doing a bit of bird spotting. These gardens have no cafe of public toilets.

Beautiful park with lots of ducks and other water birds. And there are rabbits everywhere.
