At the gate there is a sign: no entrance, welcome. That sums up my visit. The waiter instead of taking my coat told me there is no place for me at a table that was ordered for a larger group. The he said he'd stuff me in there. After that I was told we would eat whatever he puts on the table. How nice, welcoming, inclusive, and diverse. I ate the yukkiest steak of my life, no wonder the light was dimmed so you can't see what you eat. They forgot the fries. The bitterballen ordered at the start arrived at the end of the main course. Tea was served with a wet cookie, but no sugar or anything. Really bad service.

I have been there for dinner recently: the location is fantastic, very cute and must be amazing in summer as well. Looks like a trip in time. I am vegetarian and i found only one choice on the menu in the main and one in the starters: one being a soup and one being pasta, I could not really take both as a whole menu. It's a pity in 2022 there is so little choice. And unfortunately the pappardelle were too thick, too cooked, all glued to one another. Will maybe go back for drinks but not for dinner.

Despite the charming ambiance our experience was soured by a major oversight regarding dietary restrictions. My boyfriend, who has a nut allergy, mentioned it when making the reservation for Valentine’s Day undisclosed 4-course menu. However, three out of four dishes contained nuts, instead of providing alternatives they simply removed elements that played a significant role (pistachio crumble; butter sauce with hazelnut). While the food itself was well-prepared and flavorful, the lack of consideration for his allergy was disappointing. In the future, I hope the restaurant will take greater care to accommodate such restrictions, especially when providing a secret menu.

Lovely spot, just a 9 minute walk from Amstel station (note: not in the city centre). Liked the “lunch trio” option of soup, sandwich and dessert a lot. The place has a beautiful garden to sit in the sunshine and the inside is very cozy and loved their interior. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely come back to try more of the menu.

Such obnoxious staff. Friend and I wanted to drink a coffee there, but weren't allowed to sit outside, where we wanted to sit. Plenty of space, deck chairs, lounge benches. But no, for some reason we had to sit in a tent, where it was noisy and crowded. Told staff they didn't understand the concept of hospitality, and went somewhere else for a coffee. Avoid!

Terrible service!!! They are not kind at all and suuuuuper slow. We have been there for 3 hours and couldn’t wait for the dessert anymore, even our baby who never cries cried and couldn’t wait anymore! A lot of other places in Amsterdam where you can spent your money and feel good about it!

This is a review for the restaurant. Great diner with colleagues. Food was better than expected. Great grilled fish and meat. Cold beers and nice relaxed mood. Overall a good experience.

Old barn central in Amsterdam east with a very cozy / romantic atmosphere, good service, great food and nice wines. We ate here with a party of 4, shared 3 starters (burrata, dumplings, oysters). Next, mains of veal stew and 'king bolete'. We started with some beers and had 3 bottles of red wine, a primitivo, a Sangiovese and a syrah. All bottles of wine were reasonably priced for their quality. Service was friendly and fast. Make sure to make a reservation: this place gets fully packed!

Really nice atmosphere… if it is nice weather you can go there for aperitivo and then eat at the restaurant… We took the cote de Boeuf and it was perfectly cooked and really good… The starters were not amazing: we took the dumplings… I also recommend to drink the primitivo from Italy with the meat!!! Desserts are a bit small portions but really good

Lovely atmosphere and beautiful setting with excellent, friendly service. It's let down by a very small, expensive menu. The food was undercooked and a let down after such lovely service and setting. It's a loud place, with people having fun best for couples or small groups of 4. I'd recommend it for a date night, especially cosy in winter. You'll have a nice selection of whiskey and drinks and a selection of vegetarian options on the menu

I loved our visit! The atmosphere is so cozy, so great. The staff was very attentive, and the entire service just ran so smoothly. It always makes me happy to see such a young team work so well together. And on top of that, the food was delicious! Their asparagus soup, celeriac main and frangipane dessert were to die for...

I honestly do not understand 4 stars for this place. The food was absolutely horrible, not seasoned, sad, very oily and dry. Maybe the garden? But definitely not the food.

We booked for brunch on their website at 10.30am. When we arrived, on time, we were informed that they don't serve any food before 11 am. We waited until 11am and then we were informed that no option with eggs are available (3/4 of the menu). I am sure there is a valid reason behind but I can't understand why there was not possibility to avoid these issues in advance.

Visited this place for an evening meal on the weekend of the 12/03/2022. Very nice decor, good prices and great selection of dishes. It was a busy night but the ambience was good. The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. A strong recommendation.🙂

Charming restaurant in an old 1700s farmhouse in the middle of Amsterdam. The food and service were great. Lots of casual places to hang out and drink with friends outside, too.

The share dishes were pretty good. The garden is quite nice. We had a cool time there.

It's a lovely location, very cosy inside and friendly staff. The wines are good but the food is underwhelming especially considering the prices.. The mushroom gnocchi tasted like sand logs and the chips were dry. Glad we had a corner table, as it's very crowded and the tables are pretty close to each other. I'm sure it's lovely to go here in summer for a drink or so, but I wouldn't recommend dinner.

I celebrated my 30th birthday here with a big dinner and I really could not have chosen a better restaurant - the service, food and overall setting was amazing!

A beautiful place with a wonderful setting. Four stars however because it took ages for the waiters to realise we came and give us menu. Besides that - I highly reccomend that!

Beautiful place. I'm speechless how Amsterdam can surprise me every day again and again. The garden place during summer is magical. Reminisce in old childhood times being outside in the garden of my auntie. Cannot judge the food. I just went there for snacks and a couple of beers.

This is the pearl in Amsterdam's oyster. Don't let the out of place citing put you off. A short walk from the metro, it is an oasis both inside and out. A centuries old conversion, it's great for couples and parties and family. Wonderful food and staff.

This is the best? And I am only honest, THE BEST EVER place to stay in Amsterdam! I should not tell this to anyone as space is very limited ! But it’s the only truth !!!!!!! The best place ever

Amazing farmhouse vibe, we fully forgot that we were I a large city! The food seemed really high quality and perfect portion sizes ( for lunch/brunch)

The food here is incredible, both in flavour and plating. The atmosphere is really informal (not the prices) but the small menu is very well studied, with incredible flavours paired in the best way and served with the most stunning plating I've ever got in a restaurant. Take the Tart Tartan, it's incredible.

Delicious oysters and the steak was fantastic, but best of all was the atmosphere. Very hygge.

Great location, relax surrounding with many options to dine outside, dine inside or have drinks. Price is what you would expect for special, colourful dishes that cheer you up! they have a comprehensive wine collection and service is up to par. Coming back for more.

Super nice place with a big garden where you can sit and relax with big company. Variety of drinks and snacks. For sure you have to visit it. A green oasis in Amsterdam

If you want to try something different free from tourist buzz, this place is ideal! Beautiful local hidden restaurant, whith a beautiful summer garden. You can either sit in the garden's lounge chairs, sip a drink grab a bite or have a proper dinner on the terrace or inside. Great vegetarian options as well as meat. Great beers, cocktails and wines; ideal for a group celebration or just to catch up with friends. Great service and friendly staff, food was outstanding. Highly recommended! Will come back if I get the chance. Hungry group, food was so good, I hade no time for pictures. My apologies.

This review is for the restaurant. The selection was great, and the dish I got, the fish of the day, was excellent. In fact, it was one of the best dishes I've had. Everything was fresh. The service was very friendly, kind, and helpful. I felt that the price was very reasonable for the quality of food. The atmosphere outside was great.

I had breakfast at this place several times. The food is delicious and the staff is quite friendly. The restaurant is located in a small courtyard, it looks very cozy and homely.

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
