😠 I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. Sad to say that my experience at the restaurant was awful. Specifically Mrs Gordana, one of the staff, has to be the most impolite, rude, and flat-out disrespectful people I’ve ever met in a Dutch restaurant. I’ve rarely met anyone with such poor manners and such... People often mention restaurant, staff, lunch, dinner, good, service, menu, hotel, experience, great,

The food choice is limited but that would be expected if the food was great. This was not the case. For 14€ charcuterie board there was almost no bread. And everything else was 2 small pieces of meat! Cocktails weren’t many options as well and even some from the menu weren’t available anymore. The smokey sour was delicious! On the other hand, the staff was very friendly and helpful!

If there were zero starts I would give. The two stars are actually for the location, but there are so many things wrong with this place that it even ruins the location experience. We arrive with a 3 Yr old child for lunch and waited a long time for a server. They were not even half full. We saw a lot of servers wondering about not knowing what to do, but also not paying attention to customers. Almost like fake working. It looked like a bad simulation. We were given dinner menus for lunch and told there were no lunch menu. We took some time to decide since we were not into dinner food, and then another Dutch speaking server comes and kind of saves the day saying that yes there are lunch menus. Food chosen and while eating we notice an ever growing parade of servers walking around and around not doing anything. While customers were waiting to be served. Unbelievable! The food was overpriced and not that good. Our son had to eat fries and bread. Maybe the dinner experience is different or if we were there just for a coffie. To make matters worse, there's a guy acting as personal trainer who transformed the front of the restaurant in his personal gym and his "customers" and so they were using the restaurant toilet facilities as their gym toilet. Discussing. Avoid or just drink a coffee and move on.

Ok, I understand that every bar, hotel and restaurant is struggling with finding good staff and I'm much more patient then normal, because of that. But this service was really bad. And they were with 4 staff members. Too bad, it is a beautiful place

Great location over the beautiful park. However, service is odd and the food: pretentious. For a waguy burger with foie gras for 30 euro I expected more than what I got (e.g. shop-bought generic ketchup). Tomato soup (aka consommé) was bland and the cherry tomatoes were served with the inedible stems. Waiters being loud and cheering to friends in the distance instead of cleaning the table from coffee cups before serving lunch made the experience very cheap and unprofessional. There's strong competition from food places around the park, do yourself a favour and better eat at Bar Bukowski, Louis-louis or Biertuin.

An eye-catching cafe at the edge of the Oosterpark with a stylized interior that draws a very specific demographic: it's a hipster haven complete with a 70's retro feel, fireplace, thirty-somethings and potted plants. We had a latte with milk and a latte with soymilk. Both cups had a nicely decorated figure on the milkfoam. The foam passed the spoon test and the coffee was served with a mini version of the traditional Dutch 'stroopwafel' on the side. The taste was a bit disappointing. The soymilk latte had a soymilk aftertaste, but it also had an overpowering watery taste. The regular latte with milk tasted decent, however, it was served luke warm. The service was friendly and efficient, and as the cafe serves as one of the entrances to the hotel, there's good people watching. An adjacent outdoor seating area is ideal when the weather permits.

Horrible experience! The case visually looks good but the staff are inexperienced and rude. Also the food was horrible. I ordered a €14 caesar salad and got about 20g of raw chicken. They could at least put 80g of chicken for that price. I told the waitress that the chicken was raw and she said that it wasn't and that that's how it should be. Sorry, but in the rest of the world, people don't eat raw chicken! I insisted she ask the chef to cook my chicken more. After 30 min of waiting, I received my salad back but this time it had anchovies in it and the dressing wasn't on the side (it was drenched in dressing) even though i requested no anchovies and no dressing.

Left me very disappointed. High prices, but very basic food. No flexibility either. On the menu they had eggs benedict with either ham or salmon. Asked to make it with avocado, but they said they “have to stick to the menu”. After ordering it without ham or salmon, they brought just a bun with egg and some sauce on top… beyond basic for €12.50. Definitely would not recommend.

The location is far but located in a beautiful parc with amazing terrasse inside the parc. The restaurant belongs to the hotel. Food was great even if the menu was clearly too short. Good service but need more staff for busy days

Park restaurant has a great decoration and a wonderful view over the park which makes it a pleasure to be at. We arrived at 16.15 after a long day travelling and we were looking forward to have a late lunch or an early dinner. However this is rather a difficult time for late lunch or early dinner for this venue. On the menu it says “all day breakfast” which actually is only until 16.00 as well as all the lunch options. The dinner items could only be ordered as from 17.00, which left us with choosing only from the snacks options. As a result we ordered some cheese, meat and warm snacks. We thought is would have been automatically accompanied with cutlery and bread however that was not the case. Luckily the waitress was kinda nice to bring us some bread and cutlery after politely asking her. With having the bread we felt the items we ordered were enough to replace a late lunch or early dinner. However I would recommend to make the “all day breakfast” really an “all day breakfast” at least until 17.00 to give some extra options between 16.00 and 17.00. It is just a thought.

Last visited June 2023 Submitting a separate review for bar/restaurant to the hotel. Bar/Restaurant. Drinks are somewhat overpriced. Food is ok, with limited selection but still ok. Overall rating of 3 stars due to the price of the drinks.

I joined my mother and father in law for two drinks on Wed 6th Dec around 7pm. A slight mistake was made on the bill so we had to discuss it with the staff. The reaction to this mistake really ruined our experience. One male waiter turned to his colleagues and was quite dismissive when he thought he could not see/hear us and said, "that's not how our system works." We showed the bank transaction that proved a mistake had been made and they told us not to worry and that the mistake had been fixed. My father in law was expecting an apology for the inconvenience, the waiter apologised quickly (and insincerely) and walked to the other side of the bar. We could see him talk about us to his colleagues and we saw the waitress rolling her eyes. A mistake on the bill is something quite minor and nothing to worry about. The mistake was fixed so that's why it is two stars and not one star. The way these staff members handled the situation was incredibly immature and it lacked an appropriate level of professionalism. In future, they should be more aware of how they interact with one another in front of customers.

After an early moring flight from London, this was the perfect meal to sit down to. The burger and homemade chips both amazing! The service was good and a great atmosphere. The attention to detail for the interior design was spectacular, the staff did a great job at maintaining this throughout the afternoon. I look forward to my birthday breakfast here in a few minutes 😀

I was a little bit worried cuz the feedback seems not that well as I saw on the google map. But I still came for dinner because the location is good and it’s near to the hostel which I stayed. I ordered the risotto and the passion fruit cocktail which I really loved it! And the service is good. The staffs are very friendly even I sat in the corner which far from the bar and the staffs came several times to check if everything is fine. In short, the atmosphere is nice and I really enjoyed the dinner here.

I’d give this place 5 stars for the vibe, but 3.5 stars for the food. The coffee was amazing, but the menu was what you’d get in any other restaurant and wasn’t innovative enough. The shakshuka was plated beautifully but ended up being a bit tacky to eat :-/ I’m gonna go back there for a drink and some light bites anytime again as their service and the terrace was amazing. Not for full meals ✌️😬

Great cafe to have a morning coffee with peace to watch over the park. Would suggest it for more drink & snack combination rather than a meal since the menu is limited. But still there is always a good classic choice for every preference. The best part is the great service which is so hard to find in Amsterdam. Felix is amazing and made our day! Thank you again!

Food is not very tasty and expensive for what it is. Eggs benedict tasted off, bread was stale and overall uninspiring. Husband had a salmon bagel and it was burned, dry, missing an ingredient and just the most depressing looking bagel ive ever seen. Only one piece of avocado and creamcheese smeared so thin you were left wondering if there was any at all. The location and stuff were nice tho, thats the only reason im giving it 2 stars.

The food was tasty and very generous! The service was quick, but once the meals were received little attention was paid to anything else and difficult to get the attention of anyone even to pay.

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
