Been
to
the
Japan
Light
Festival
on
the
7th
of
May,
2022.
As
the
title
would
suggest,
you'd
expect
a
galore
of
different
lights.
This
however,
was
not
the
case.
There
were
a
few
lighted
inflatable
Japanese
figures
near
the
entrance,
followed
by
a
'tunnel'
of
light,
which
was
quite
cool,
to
then
go
through
a
not
so
dense
forest
of
lighted
trees.
Because
it
wasn't
dense,
you
never
felt
like
you
were
somewhere
special.
Regardless,
it
was
fun
to
see.
But,
if
you
came
for
just
the
lights,
you
would
have
been
disappointed.
You
walk
through
in
about
10
minutes,
including
making
the
occasional
picture
or
selfie.
The
food
quarter
was
quite
busy
and
smelled
delicious.
There
were
however
such
long
lines
we
only
ate
a
few
sort
of
puffy
dough
balls
with
some
spices
and
sauces
on
them,
did
taste
very
well
though.
The
makeshift
bar
clearly
had
trouble
keeping
up
with
the
long
line
of
people
-
the
service
was
slow
and
could've
been
handled
way
better.
It
also
seemed
as
if
they
only
had
one
PIN
machine,
which
I
would
say
is
bad
prep.
One
thing
that
stood
out
and
was
a
lot
of
fun,
was
the
silent
disco.
At
the
entrance
you
are
given
a
headset
to
enjoy
the
music
in
a
'silent'
tunnel,
coming
from
the
DJ
on
a
mini
stage
in
the
back.
Because
we
had
the
party
tickets,
we
stayed
late
for
a
fun
music
filled
festival,
with
all
sorts
of
music.
It
wasn't
as
busy
as
I
hoped,
but
the
atmosphere
was
amazing
regardless.
The
saxophone
player
was
absolutely
phenomenal.
In
conclusion,
come
here
for
the
food
and
music,
not
for
the
lights.
