UPDATE: The hotel kindly addressed the double charge and issued a refund. I’m glad the issue was fixed. Adjusted my review from one star to four. Super cute vibe and great location but…I used my Amex points to book this hotel and I was double charged an additional $148 on top of my stay, for no clear reason. If the charge is reversed I’d be happy to update my review. Be mindful of what you pre-auth your card for at this hotel. I’ve been fighting this charge since Oct 11th with no response from the hotel.

The staff is amazing! They were printing things for me, calling me a cab, waking me up when requested. The bed was super comfy and the room was clean. The location is perfect if you want to be near the museum area. Very modern hotel.

Yes our room was large with a really nice shower and lots of light and natural ventilation. The rooms are minimalist and a bit sparsely furnished and one suggestion might be to provide stands on which to place suitcases. But the bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Location is good especially if your goal are the major art museums. Central Amsterdam is also a very reasonable walk. Bus 397 stops a short distance, ~100m from the door ("Concertgebouw") and gets you from and to the airport in 25 to 45 minutes for around 7 Euro. But the BEST part of our stay was the way in which the common areas of the hotel were so inviting and comfortable. Indoor tables and seating plus a wonderfully landscaped and private patio in the back. There were always very friendly staff ready to help, advise and provide food and refreshments. This part of our stay was really exceptional. A good place to spend a few days!

I normally don't write reviews but in this case I feel I have to in order to warn others, I don't think this hotel should be considered as a 4 stars hotel! It has poor facilities, poor amenities and poor breakfast, the only things it has going for it is the ok location and the reasonable cleanliness but these by no mean justify the high price they charge when there are real 4 stars hotels in the city. The room does not have a closet, fridge or safe, it does not have air conditioning either which makes the room insufferably hot during hot days, the toilet is cheaply decorated and has the minimum bare necessities, the water is lukewarm only, not really hot, in case you prefer hot showers. So don't buy into the eco-friendly gimmick, IMO this is a 2.5 stars hotel at best.

Loved staying here. It was so clean, spacious, and the staff were so kind and helpful. Loved the location as it was so peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle. Can't wait to visit again soon.

Im not the type to leave bad reviews. When I don't like a place I just prefer not to say anything at all. The hotel said it had general air conditioning but they don't have them in the rooms. The heat in the bedroom is beyond words (if you go on summer) When we asked about this they gave us a small ventilator which only made the situation worse. On another note, the batroom has no door. The toilet is separated and has a door but the shower and sink are in the open space of the bedroom, so imagine if you go with your family on this hotel, they will all see you take a shower. Awful. I have never seen something like this. On another note, the location is good.

I booked the family room and it was very spacious. Queen sized bed and twin for three adults. Only downside is that the shower didn't have a door/curtain.

This hotel made our stay. The room was lush, very clean and the bed was the best we've slept in ever! Staff were always helpful and very friendly. I had no idea at the time, but my now fiancé had arranged with them the proposal, which was just perfect. The hotel had made our room all romantic for the event! Very thoughtful. Location was great! Close to public transport and right in the heart of the museum quarter. Lovely breakfast too. My partner is vegetarian so took full advantage of the food on offer whilst I am vegan. They made me special croissants and had vegan chocolate spread!! Will definitely book again with this hotel or try their other hotels in Amsterdam.

I had to book a room at the last minute and found this gem. It was a great surprise. The staff were super nice and I immediately felt very comfortable. The rooms are modern, clean, spacious and very pretty. You have extra treats like coffee and tea in the room, which is perfect in the cold season. Thank you very much, I will definitely be back! :)

Upon arrival we were greeted with big smiles and a cheerful staff, Lucia helped us with registration, Rekha also welcomed us with information about the hotel and things to do. Amazing, awesome, fabulous stay, the rooms are really spacious for a boutique hotel. The beds are comfortable, Yael helped us with settling into our room, be sure to try all the pillow choices. A very comfortable and welcoming lounge area, the happy hour was a nice treat. The staff was incredibly kind, friendly and helpful, we enjoyed our free time with them in the lounge. Really nice outdoor seating for breakfast and afternoon gathering. Great location, walk friendly, public transportation easy. I look forward to coming back. We had a little problem with our transportation to the airport and Rekha made the phone calls we needed and translated so that we could make contact. She and Yael stayed with us throughout the process which we greatly appreciated. This is a Ten Star Hotel,

Really liked the hotel. Clean, comfortable and well designed. The staff are absolutely great. Friendly, helpful and generous. We liked the room, the bar. Wine hour at 5pm is great. But also really good fresh coffee in the bar. Clean. Highly recommended. Will def come again

Perfect location, friendly staff and spacious and bright room. Very comfy bed! Only downside are flat pillows and although a very nice large shower, we would have preferred a bath tub as we came with our baby. School nearby but obviously closed on weekends/summer so it was very quiet. Oh and there is such a lovely garden/patio outside. We loved the home made banana cake too! We will be back soon!

Super friendly staff! The hotel was renovated 3 years ago and it tells. Our room was spacious and modern. Big shower, very big bed and enough space to open all the luggage. The breakfast is nice and there's always drinks and snacks to grab from the lounge area. The location is perfect if you're looking for a relaxed area that is around 10 minutes walk to the heart of the city.

One of the staff was extremely rude and the hotel manager tended to defend her behavior. Cleanliness wasn't at all according to expectations. Breakfast was boring and with too many low quality products. Especially disappointing was the quality of the cheese. Really sad if you know that The Netherlands produce so many top quality cheeses. In corona times it is to my opinion not done to put large chocolate, marmalade and other food jars with a big spoon in them so that everyone can grab it to serve himself. The bed covers were too hot for the time of the year. The direction of this hotel tries to save money on the wrong items and or positions. There are times that the hotel is "manned" with non-dutch speaking staff only.... I find their staff's T-shirt slogan "I'm eco sexy and I know it" inappropriate for a hotel chain. We won't return to this hotel or any other from the same group.

A little gem, tucked away from the touristic hustle & bustle of central Amsterdam. The room was clean, crisp and quiet and reasonably priced. A short walk from the Rijksmuseum and close to Vondelpark, there is plenty of space and greenery whilst also being a close distance to the heart of Amsterdam city centre. Now my go-to for Amsterdam visits, I plan to stay again.

If I'm ever in the area again (which I plan to be), the Conscious Hotel will be the first place I check for availability. I came here for a summer trip in 2023 with my partner and just now getting to leaving a review. Marylyn/Marilynn (my apologies if I'm not spelling the name correctly) checked us in and made us feel welcome, in addition to giving us valuable information in the area. The room itself was great; clean and spacious with high ceilings. We loved reading the conscious phrases posted around the room that gave us some good laughs.

Thanks (from Canada) to all the staff for a wonderful stay at the lovely hotel. Especially to Marojolyn for your warm welcome & interaction; also to Rekha for being just wonderful...assisting us in getting around Amsterdam & helping us with boarding passes; and to the housekeeper for following up on our needs. You all made our stay special!

Warmly welcoming small hotel with rather spacious rooms, garden , nice breakfast room partly in the garden. Really nice . Of course there’s the garden side, very quiet and a street side which I didn’t experience but it seems me a rather quiet street. It was, for week, a very nice stay

The hotel is perfectly located in the Museum Quarter, some 15min by tram and 25min by walk into the core city center. It has self checkin, very helpful and friendly staff, slightly bigger rooms than Amsterdam average. From our point of view the breakfast for €19/day is pricey as you can get a superb breakfast for cheaper around the hotel, also the rooms as such were a bit pricey as well. The floors in the rooms do not have any carpets or anything so you can hear your neighbors (especially kids) from above. I would say the rating should be inbetween 4-4.5

The hotel is nicely located and the staff is friendly. However we feel like we really got robbed by paying 285 eur a night for this hotel who has a leaking shower to the room + no amenities + no places to put your clothes other than just 3 cloth hangers. We were given a room on the street which was very noisy. Overall very very bad quality / price. Very deceived.

We loved the large room and king sized bed (both rare in Amsterdam from what we saw on our hotel search!). The hotel was close to transportation but not close to craziness. The staff was welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. We'd stay again!

Loved staying here! It's my second time at a Conscious Hotel having previously stayed at the Westerpark. This time we booked a Wow room and it's been amazing. The bed is huge and comfy, and the bathroom is awesome. Twin sinks, a huge walk-in shower and of course that bath in the bedroom which easily fits two people. Lovely and romantic! Be aware there's no restaurant here as its a smaller property. But there a cafe with drinks and snacks and they do serve breakfast here. If you want a quieter, romantic location that still leaves you with easy access to everything Amsterdam has to offer, this is the place!

Wonderful hotel with a focus on eco-friendly service! 100% Organic breakfast buffet was amazing. A menu for pillows in your room! Beautiful shower. We will be staying here next time we’re in Amsterdam.

Great hotel, comfortable rooms, spacious, warm, comfortable shower, good internet connection for work, good location, the congeniality and helpfulness of the employees from reception to the cleaning staff is remarkable. Would definitely come back.

Three stars for the location thats near the park and museums, queit area; & for the friendly staff. Unfortunately it was a bit hectic staying here it was more of a hostel experience not a hotel. Breakfast is served only in the lobby and its not of a wide variety ( we prefered to eat out, though the cafe machiato was good ) they dont get breakfast up to the rooms, no deliveries up to the room so u have to go down whenever u order something. No fridge in the room so we ended up having to throw the leftover food we ordered. Cleanliness is fair not that good, as their was a lot of dust on lamps and heater when we first arrived. Unfortunately wont be visiting again.

My wife and I stayed here at the end of September. The room is small but stylish and the location accessible. Great decor in the lobby. Unfortunately they double charged us for the room, an additional $148 on top of what we redeemed in Amex points to stay. We have been trying to resolve this issue since October 11th with no cooperation from the hotel. Stay here at your own risk.

Beautiful little hotel, nice rooms, great location and and extraordinary level of service. Very family-friendly area. When you enter the lobby at this hotel there is a sign at the entrance: "Throw kindness around like confetti". I think the staff really took this to heart. Our daughter got ill and we were in need of a doctor. The staff was incredible helpfull and showed so much concern and kindness all through our stay here. I dont think I have ever been to a hotel with such a high level of service, kindness and concern. We will definitely be back again.

😐 It is a large, somewhat impersonal, completely unshaded and extremely noisy campsite (we were in the tented section).Noisy because there is a large multi-lane bridge nearby, which is still very busy at night.
