This is a beautiful shopping center indeed, or what we would call in North America, a "mall". There is a major Albert Heijn and "smaller" Jumbo grocery store. The Jumbo is actually huge for a Jumbo, but compared to the AH, it seems smaller, a bit dated too. The mall has a nice Pets Place in the -1 floor, a sleek Hema next to it with a little food kiosk at the entrance. The Gelderlandplein is actually elegant and swanky. There is also a large interior courtyard where you can have lunch, dinner or drinks at multiple cafes and restaurants! This is really worth visiting if you want to get away from the mayhem of the centrum of Amsterdam.

Very angry with the toilets. It's a very nice shopping mall with an enjoyable selection of shops. But there is only a single set of very small toilets (just one for men). You have to pay to enter the restroom area. On the day I visited the machine for paying by card wasn't working. To make it worse a lot of the shops, including the coffee shop, don't deal in cash. This made it a huge ordeal just to find somewhere to give me coins. Absolutely ridiculous that I can spend hundreds of euros on shopping, plus a reasonable amount of coffee, but not have readily available restroom facilities.

Lovely little mall, pet friendly so it makes it even more desirable. Shopping is diverse for some traveling extensively in Europe I did find the price a little higher than the EU average.

You can find most essential and big brands here: AH XL, Jumbo and Shilla for groceries, 2 main Dutch drugstores, chocolatiers, candy store, premium cosmetic store, HEMA, and more Dutch clothing shops. Kids friendly area with lots of families during the weekends! Definitely a hot spot in the neighborhood for some.

It's a beautiful area with buildings in Amstelveen and a shopping mall for groceries. My friends live there and they love it. If you love buildings and city centre feel you can live here and is close to Amsterdam.

A shopping center in Amsterdam Zuid which is fairly OK. It's very glamorous, but very expensive. Also, the stores here should update their holiday hours because every time there's a public holiday, none of the stores report their hours and so you end up making the trek to find out that only the supermarkets are open. Would also really appreciate to see a more affordable supermarket here like Lidl or Aldi, but I doubt the owners would allow for that as this supermarket seems to cater only to the wealthier people, even though there's plenty of people with a lower income and students that come here often.

It's pretty much the only largish shopping mall in the amsterdam area. Even then I no idea how many of the shops survive as it always looks empty even at the weekends. There a selection of restaurants there and all of them are OK. The Korean supermarket Shilla is the only interesting store there all the rest are standard fare. But it is a nicely designed space and comfortable to walk around I just wish they had a few more interesting stores.

The mall also harbors one of the largest Albet Hijn's supermarket, XL Albert Hijn in Amsterdam South and Amstelveen area.

For the locals its a great place to shop if you have money to spend and for visitors its a nice bad weather option. Also very nice for the kids if you have 'em. They have a little indoor playpark next to a coffeecompany. My recommendation would be the korean supermarket " Shilla". They have freshly made food and any kind of product you need for your asian munchies

We visited Gelderlandplein during a recently to purchase outdoor hiking shoes at the large Bever store located here. We also enjoyed very good ice-cream from the Huize van Wely chocolatier. Art installations within the mall are interesting to view as well. We most enjoyed the Better Knowing sculpture by KAWS. There is also children's play area, parking facility as well as a hotel at the premise. Overall, we found this to be a pretty good shopping mall in Amsterdam, a good option if you are seeking indoor venues if you find yourself in the city on bad weather days.

Beautiful shopping centre When I was young, Gelderlandplein was a shabby open air shopping centre. Now it's one of the best looking malls I've encountered. The centre is now a closed mall containing a wide variety of stores. Besides the usual Hema and Blokker, you'll find a range of (high end) fashion stores, some good restaurants and 2 supermarkets of which one a huge Albert Heijn. For the small ones you have a play corner which is turned into an ice-skating range each winter. Right next to it you can get your coffee fix in the local Coffee Company branch. Visit it during the holiday season to see beautiful decorations. Also, the mall has an impressive art collection including a Kaws sculpture!
