Very complete. Plus it's by the bay. Double your coat on winter as it gets really chilly here. Wide stores to choose from and it's near the train station. (Oriental Mart is a plus)

Just next to Almere Centrum train station is the Almere Centrum market where you get almost all sort of brands for your shopping , lot of restaurants to cater to your hunger including KFC , McDonald's etc. For your craving for electronics you have Media Markt and cool blue etc. A nice artificial beach and shore to enjoy the sun and option to take a ferry to Amsterdam. This place also has a theater to enjoy cinema. Lot to do for kids and enjoy. Overall a nice place for shopping, eat out or spend few hours during weekend.

A wonderful experience for my first visit to a city mall in the Netherlands, there are many stores and several larger clearings for events. It’s close to the bus station, you can walk the whole street in under half an hour.

ALMERE is a planned city in Netherlands. During late 1990s this place was reclaimed from water ways. The houses were constructed during 2000s I was told. This is now high profile city with all facilities to live comfortably. The Centrum was very big. Here more numbers of Indians are living. I went to see and enjoy the Indian Summer Festival held by Indian people. Cultural shows and Indian food stalls and handicrafts wer displayed.

This open-air shopping mall in Almere is quite laid back and relaxed, I personally like this place quite a lot. There are many restaurants which offer all type of cuisines throughout centrum for both vegetarians/vegans or meat eaters. There are many shops which you can shop from, all type of clothes both more expensive ones and cheaper options aswel. Overall this place is quite nice and I rated it 4 out of 5 for the reasons I have said below. Very nice place and would recommend to people in Almere.

Not gonna lie, the "no dog" zone is understandable, but I drove a good 40 minutes there and paid 6€ for a parking pass, only then to be told that dogs weren't allowed there. It's also a bit odd that everything closes at 6pm, not quite used to that. HOWEVER This place is clean, has a very good selection of shops to visit, lots of trash cans and places to sit, police always patrolling and making sure things are in order, and the place is quite big. Even though we had to take turns walking through here, because I brought my dog, it was still enjoyable overall. One star off because of the no dog zone LOL

The most beautiful city center in the Netherlands. Cheap parking garages. Clean city. Many businesses. Friendly people. 10 minutes from Amsterdam.

Due to Corona, the City Mall was sparsely populated, but also not very comfortable due to the modern, architectural design of the buildings. In any case, the visitor is presented with a special cityscape, different from any mature city.

A modern, very clean city with many cafes, restaurants and ice cream parlors. Also a good mix of shops. Particularly worth mentioning is the friendly and extremely courteous advice at VVV. Nice view of Weerwater.

Lovely city centre with glorious sights. The streets are clean, and there are a lot of diverse stores and places to go. There's usually an event going on, so there's always something to do. The parking lots could do with a little cleanup, though. My favorite place to visit: the Game Box

Most of the brand names have stores in this Shopping area. I do miss the cosiness of old town shopping areas. Then again it's a young city still

It's a pity we here in Ireland can't do what they've done in Holland. 1 card swipe it as you enter a bus swipe it when you get off that's all you get charged for . Same card works on bus ,train ,metro and all on time every time. Just brilliant

When I visited Almere Stad around 30 years ago, this whole site was still a flatland, with a railway station out of nowhere. I remember taking a train from here to Amsterdam. Anyhow, it is now the present day, 2017, this site has become Almere City Mall. Awesome and smart development, if I may say so. The mall design is fun, good looking, and convenient, since it is reachable by bus, train, and also by car. There are lots of parking space available. I visited this mall a few times more than I needed because the train station (Almere Centrum) is one of the bigger ones, where you can catch an intercity train.

I like the city centre of Almere because its very organised. If you just want to shop this is a great place but if you want to see architecture or anything that involves history Almere isn't the place.

  • 5/5 Guus L. 2 years ago on Google
Strictly speaking the City Mall of Almere would only be the area designed by Rem Koolhaas (with the fronts looking like terracotta coloured sediment layers), but the surrounding area is also really enjoyable, including both markets.

This is a beautiful city center. If you can't find something to buy in this huge shopping center then you're too picky! Lol... There's even a grocery store or two so if you're running late you can pick dinner up. Enjoy shopping!

This place was quite happening and had nice views. Looks like a touristic place with lots of food spots. Found a lot of Turkish nd Arabic cuisine in and around this place. Apart from this you can find Indian and Thai as well.

This central marketplace is situated in the middle of Almere. You can find all sort of shops. There is a big Library and a college also situated there. Any point, if you’re feeling boredom, go there and just walk around. The place has its own charm.

👍 Comfortable hal, limited shopping options but rather specialized and good quality. + some options for eating or take a drink + stable wifi, I could even work. + clean toilets. Just got a bit annoyed by kids shouting while playing inside. Note that dogs are welcome, and they were maybe more educated...
