Service was not existent, staff just don't care, and the falafel was under seasoned, missing key flavours, and was sub par at best. The open salad system doesn't work either, and they failed to serve chips at the same time as the falafel in a meal purchase, so you have to wait 10+ minutes for them to forget your order exists after you've been given half your meal. Also: if you buy a drink, pick it up yourself, but not all the drinks are vegan, in a vegan fast food place. I guess people forget to look at the contents of some of those fizzy drinks. You also need to be proactive with the drink picking up part... If the staff made an effort, and fixed their falafel mix to be "falafel" not some flavourless hybrid, then it could be 3/5. KLM flights offer better falafel.

One of my favourite places to visit. Food always fresh. Always go for the falafel meal - falafel pitta with salad, chips with curry sauce and bottle of water. Large salad bar, lots of choice. You simply load what you want on it. Love the spiced onions and the chilli sauce. Taking to go, server happy to wrap everything up.

Quick and easy! White or wheat pita loaded with your choice of Falafel, eggplant, or mushrooms, humus and sauces and salad bar fixings. Pleasant atmosphere. The price is just right.

The owner will scream at you to leave if u try to sit here with fries, even if you and your party are literally about to order from Maoz and tell him, we were excited for it too. Lost our business completely from the interaction as we had to leave and didn’t want to order after being screamed at.

This is the place where the best answer to the question of whether to go to the same food place every day during my 3 days in Amsterdam is “Yes”! Their falafels are delicious! There are many kinds of sauces available, there are too many salad varieties to put in the falafel! There are unlimited choices! And the price is quite affordable. For example, the meal deal option that I ate almost every day (even on the plane) was only 9.95 euros, even though it included potato chips, galafel and a drink. Apart from that, the employees were very caring and respectful people. For example, since I couldn't make a package, they helped me and made it ready to take me to the plane. All in all, a must visit place!

It's good everything is vegan. The price and quality don't quite match, though.

Great DIY vegan sandwiches. You need to pay and wait for the staff to grill the bread for you then start stack up your own filling. The que is a bit confusing. I would recommend put up a sign where you should start building your sandwich because the sauce need to go in first for more tasty and flavorful results!

Yummy VEGAN falafel joint. No wifi and no bathroom. Open air so watch to make sure the pigeons don't steal your lunch.

Food was really good! Fries is delicious! And prices are really nice too. I recommend this place:) But the workers were a little rude and busy, whatever I guess:)

Came here our first night in Amsterdam the service was pretty good, we both got falafel wraps and could put the salad stuff in ourselves. The falafel were a little dry but overall it was nice.

The food is lovely but the service could be improved. They wouldn’t fill up my water bottle (presumably to increase sales of bottled water?) and they didn’t explain the concept to me (that you add your own toppings and can return to add more as you eat), I only worked this out from observing others

Absolutely delicious vegan falafel sandwich! Hummus tastes amazing. Several salad topping options to choose from, can refill as many times as you like. Side of warm fries is a great addition.

Very nice falafal Burger with customisation. We met with Mr Singh from Patiala (India). He is such a nice guy. We had our two time food there with different sauces and customisation. Highly recommended for the tourists who look for vegan food. Their combos are the best one with fries also falafels and orange juice is gr8. The taste was great and the fresh orange juice was really good. It’s a great place to grab a quick bite and keep moving during the day. You will Love this place because it's in the heart of city! Just located in the heart of Amsterdam. If you want to eat good vegan food, please go for it without any doubts. If you are looking for a quick bite and tasty one you can't miss them. There is a salad version if you're cutting back on the bread. The fries are great and there are a variety of sauces to choose from. It can get a bit busy and seating can be limited but that's just because it's a popular place.

Took pita with falafel and hummus, it was pretty tasty, and i liked that i can choose what to put and how much for "free". Hummus wasn't the best but overall great, atmosphere inside was lacking but who cares i came for fast food

Lovely food and meal options. Cost effective and brilliant choices available for you to choose. Should definitely try this place out when in Amsterdam.

  • 5/5 Dev S. 1 year ago on Google
Very reasonably priced pita breads and salads, with meal options in small and regular sizes that include fries and a drink. Quite healthy and filling portion sizes. They also have spicy sauces and dips.

I love the taste of the falafels. Price is fair. The sauces are great tasting too. The only thing that is a problem is that seating can get problematic. There is little space and this is not a sandwich you can eat on the go since you need to go several times to the counter to stock up on fresh salad.

What a great concept. Buy a pita with falafel and stuff it with salad and toppings yourself. About 20 options to pick from with 5 sauces to add. I was full after one pita with about 5 falafel (and 2 refills with salad) Friendly people, they clean the salad bar every few minutes. We payed €7,50 for a pita, very reasonable these days.

I have no words how many stars should I give them. If they were more than five stars then I would have given them more than five stars. They had great taste and their service was also very good🥰🥰

Literally amazed of how can a vegan thing can be this awesome. As a not vegan and a person who usually hates vegan stuff I loved it. Thinking to go get another pita on my way back to the center of Amsterdam already. Also staf is not really qualified in english but easy to communicate and they give an effort to understand (+bonus point for it)

Food was great and it was really nice knowing everything is vegan. Service felt very rushed and unfriendly although they did spot that they missed my order in a timely manner. We were also at a really busy moment, so I expect such things to be better most other times.

MY FAVOURITE RESTAURANT IN AMSTERDAM when I want to just grab something affordable, healthy + don’t have much time to wait. The food is so fresh, colourful + has many choices. You can choose how much you want. I always choose the falafel salad bowl with hummus on the side. The staff are super friendly + the location is just walking distance from the train station. The music is always fun + puts me in a good moon. The layout is also intimate so usually you chat to strangers/tourists while you eat which is always interesting! Love everything about this little restaurant 🤍🤍🤍

This place is just pure chaos. After you order you don't get any number or receipt. You just wait for them to call your order. And that causes too much confusion because nobody knows whose it is. Workers just try to remembers faces and who came first. Falafels were tasty though.

Excellent felafel ..the lady who cooks though is not pleasant at all she is asking us to wear masks in a tough way when she is not wearing it and other customers sitting there are not as well

This place is great for tourists who want a quick bite, price is ok and I don't expect quality service . I live locally and a few times this place has disappointed me. Once they forget to put in the extra bits I paid for, which I only found out when I got home, another time I got a piece of cold untoasted pita bread with cold falafel which was probably left over from previous orders, again I only found out I got a cold lunch when I got home. I even left a tip. I won't be going back again.

Always love a tasty falafel sandwich from Maoz. The sandwiches are maid fresh and ready to do. You can refill as much salad and sources as you like.

  • 5/5 Lucia P. 2 years ago on Google
Love Maoz as a vegan. Great that you can select your own veggies, just need to wait for your falafel and pita bread from the staff. They have amazing sauce options too!!!

Great vegan restaurant with very friendly staff. Make sure to try the salad. You get to make your own so it is very convenient

Food was okay, however it was terrible when the waiter asks us to get out of the outdoor seating area because our 2 year old child was eating non vegan(vegetarian) food. The explanation given was their vegan patrons won’t tolerate a child eating vegetarian meal in their presence. Not cool and utterly insensitive. Just to add here that me and my wife were both eating food from this place and only my child was eating food brought in.

Amazing place. I wish we had this in London. Really good prices, and you can fill your own wrap with as much as you can fit inside! So delicious and filling and healthy.

  • 5/5 Iram K. 1 year ago on Google
Highly recommend for tourists. Their falafels and orange juice is great. I went with my family and ordered two falafels in a pitta wrap and we can fill those with sides and sauces of our choice (pretty cool). Taste was great and the fresh orange juice was really good too (although pricey). It’s a great place to grab a quick bite and keep moving during the day. One of their staff members is slightly rude but the lady staff member is quite friendly and helpful.

Very good food very fast and clean. Very bad service the older guy at the counter seemed more like he wished I will go away then buy. To all costumers. Besides that Very good experience.

Well known Falafel resturant in Europe. Falafel here is less tasty than other branches in Europe.

  • 5/5 vikram c. 1 year ago on Google
Great falafel sandwiches with many options for sauces and unlimited refill options. My wife, being a vegetarian, loved this place. Its location made it more accessible. It could be crowded during peak lunch/dinner time, but where in Amsterdam you wouldn't find it, so shouldn't be a deterrent. Go for it !

  • 5/5 Grant H. 1 year ago on Google
Nice vegan food at a reasonable price. Choose your pita base like falafel, add whatever salad items you like and top it off with a selection of sauces.

  • 5/5 Efe Cem E. 2 years ago on Google
I could eat at Maoz all day every day! The pita breads seem to have gotten a bit smaller but with the open salad bar it just meant an extra trip to make sure I got to taste all the delicious options before finally wolfing down the falafels.

  • 5/5 Tabitha F. 1 year ago on Google
Super delicious falafel and great options. With the pita choice you get to refill as you eat down the pta, so you can test different toppings and fill up the ones you like. Typical fillings but all really good - hot sauces genuinely hot. Cheap and easy meal, great for a quick cheap stop

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
