Awesome hummus, very delicious shakshuka and amazing roasted cauliflower. Nice place and good service. I liked they have wifi and accepted cash. A lot of vegetarian dishes! Prices are higher than average in my opinion.

The best restaurant we've been in Amsterdam. My husband and I were very surprised how good it was. We would like to come back here whenever we visit Netherland again. Staffs were very kind and nice as well.

By FAR! the best hummus I've ever eaten in my life. The bread is real handmade and super delicious. Highly recommended. I can also suggest the yummy homemade lemonade!

    Being Lebanese I put high expectations on every restaurant that serves our plates. I have to say that this place took the food into a new level. We’re talking of course of a specific set of dishes from our cuisine. Staff are friendly and helpful. They might get overloaded so food sometimes can take time. { recommended }

Great value for money. The food is simply delicious. It can be crowded but if you wait a bit you will get a spot.

To begin with, the location is great. The seating arrangement coupled with a selection of cleverly curated furniture invokes a consistent and delicate taste. Moreover, the tableware blended seamlessly into the meticulously crafted aesthetic. As per the food itself, an absolutely delightful choice concocts a splendid marriage of middle-eastern tradition with subtle modern touches of finesse. On a good day wherein the breeze is just right, one can smell its delectable goodness even from a couple steps away from the restaurant. Finally, the service itself sets high standards that display an interest in applying a mature managerial approach. Friendly, cautious, happy, and warm—the staff uplift the experience. All in all, a delightful bistro that will prove a treat to any food lover.

One of the best restaurants in Amsterdam! We’ve been also a different location, too and the taste is consistently great! Fast service quality with amazing pita chips! Highly recommended!

I liked the cozy vibes in the restaurant, people were very friendly and nice. The taste of food was generally okay but the presentation of the food was good. There were 2 special sauces that came with the hummus, one was spicy and the other one was with citrus taste, both were tasty and made the hummus less boring after a few bites.

This Israeli food goes directly to the soul. Delicious hummus and great service. Definitely go if you are looking for middle eastern food. As with any Israeli food, many veggie and vegan options! 💡tip: Preferably book in advance

Beware: people will smoke around you! Way too expensive for what it really offers (the one in the center of den Haag is outwordly good compared to this place, for example). Looks good, but the taste is really missing. Location is kinda nice but not enough to give 3 stars, because it's full of other places around, so it's not that unique.

We found this place on Yelp with high reviews. It’s tiny and easy ti miss as we came by. Once inside, there isn’t a lot of room, but we found a table and Valentina took care of us. We ordered “try everything…” whatever that was called. It was so much food that we couldn’t finish it all. The meat was delicious, the labneh was amazing. For dessert we had sahlab. It was so so wonderful on a cold evening. Highly recommend stopping by here. Thank you for good food and service!

We got the tasting menu and thought the quality and quantity for price was good! Lots of options (especially vegetarian) so it made for a nice, gezellig experience. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating!

To start, the patio of this restaurant is nice and expansive. During the summer and warmer winter months, it extends past the restaurant right next to the patch of green making up the square of Scheldebuurt West. The food I ordered was loose leaf sage tea and shakshuka. The shakshuka tasted just like how I make it at home and was nice to have while traveling abroad. Likewise, the tea was also very pleasant to have on a slightly cooler evening. Lastly, the server was nice and gave me some other recommendations to visit in Amsterdam before I left. They turned out to be well worth it. :)

After our third visit to d&a, they definitely deserve a good review. Everything is delicious here and the hummus is definitely the real jewel. It's the best one I have tried, and trust me, I had so many! According to my companions, the shakshuka was also delightful, but as vegan I couldn't experience it. Maybe it is not traditional, but I would love to see a vegan shakshuka in the menu (tofu instead of eggs will do the job). Extra points for the location of the bistro, the cute decor and the smiling staff.

It was a pleasant surprise. We arrived and there were not many people, they gave us a table quickly and the attention was very good, the service was fast. It is a must to try their hummus with falafel, it is a delight

Can you believe that my labneh came with a hair inside it and they refunded me only the labneh cost? Even after I told them that I am pregnant and I was not going to eat anything I ordered. It is not because the other food items didnt seem to have a hair too that the cook had for sure prepared with more hygiene right? After the photo I pulled the hair and it was longer than it appears so it was disgusting!!!! And their answer was so poor and making no sense at all that “they are sorry but they have a restrict policy”. I am not giving less stars because I love the food and it used to be my favourite restaurant in Ams, but it is so so disappointing.

We had Hummus Chicken, Hummus with Meetballs and Falafel. Everything was very delicious. The service was really attentive and friendly. The only downside was the cold, uncomfortable atmosphere.

This cozy restaurant has excellent service and food. We visited several years ago and were glad to see they'd survived COVID for our recent trip. It's advised to make a reservation as they get very busy. We were going to avoid the "a bit of this and bit of that" option as we were insanely full from it last time, but gave in and ordered it again - no regrets. There are plenty of vegetarian (and vegan, I believe) options. We will return here next time, too!

Me and my wife enjoyed the food there. It was really the best hummus I have ever eaten before and I ate a lot of that

The roasted veggies hummus was excellent. It was served with 2 pittas but I was so full i couldn’t finish the 2nd one. The place is nice and very crowded for dinner, because of that service was a bit hectic at first (had to wait some time to get seated and to order) but afterwards didn’t wait much to get the food. I would definitely come back.

We had hummus and it was delicious. But even though we ordered two, one arrived first. We also ordered dessert but we waited too long. When the last dessert didn't come, we made take away and got up. Then we looked at the package and there was no fork, spoon or napkin. Now we have dessert and we are thinking about how to eat it🤦

So tasty and fresh the hummus chicken came out perfect and such a nice balanced and filling meal! The lemonade was excellent as well! The pitas were warm and fresh and perfect! Everything was great I wish we can eat there again

Since we went to the restaurant for the first time, we ordered the “a little bit this/that” menu and had the chance to taste many appetizers. Among the things we ate, we liked the hummus and aubergine the most. Others were also delicious but if you know the eastern food you may not be wow. The waiters were kind and helpful. It is a good idea to make a reservation as it is not very big inside.

Tasty mediterranean restaurant in Jordaan This was one of the great surprises of the trip. We had it on our list before going and they delivered. The food was tasty and well prepared and the staff was friendly. The price was good and the experience was just top-notch. They had both indoor and outdoor seating. The only complaint was that the music was too loud inside.

Great! We stumbled across this place on your first evening in Amsterdam. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, the beer menu was good, and the food was amazing. We ordered a bit of This & a bit of That, which was a great way to taste a lot of items on the menu. I loved the cauliflower, especially. The sage tea (fresh sage, cloves, cardamom(?), and a slice of orange) is delicious; I’m going to start making that at home.

Very delicious and the hummus is so much like the one in Tel Aviv. So creamy and a yummy shakshuka as well. We will recommend this to friends going to Amsterdam. Thanks for the warm and friendly service as well!

Great place, loved the food and the atmosphere. Service is a bit iffy (the menu I got was plastered in tomato sauce 😄) but all in all a good place. ☺️

Had the most delicious meal here. There are so many great vegan dishes and it is great for sharing lots of food. The hummus with roasted vegetables was delicious and the cabbage steak was super tasty. The staff were really nice and they gave me a little tub of hummus with pita at the end which was a really nice touch.

100% recommend! I had the Trio which although looks small was very filling. The rest of my group had the lamb, the meatballs and the falafel. All dishes were delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed. It is very popular so I recommend booking in advance.

Very tasty. We just found this randomly when we looked for another restaurant. The Hummus was very tasty. It was creamy and not bitter. Also the lamb in the middle was a good combo. The bread was warm and soft. The staff was also friendly. I recommend this if you want to try sth. different than fries and burgers in Amsterdam

For a moment I thought I'm in Israel. Best humus in the city. Maybe even one of the best in the world outside Israel! We will come back soon!

It's located in beutiful Jordaan district. Once you enter the place you will know that you are in unique bistro. Staff is amazingly open and kind. We have ordered a selection of small dishes, called in menu as a bit of this & a bit of that. It's perfect for 2 people when you don’t know what to choose. #jordaan #bistro #hummus

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why.
