Very nice bar away from all the hustle and bustle. Nice staff, delicious tapas and great wines!

We go there at least twice a month, it's the ideal place to enjoy a relaxed date evening paired with some delicious bites, cozy atmosphere and excellent service... highly recommend! One of my favorite restaurants in Amsterdam and where we always choose to take visitors. Consistently delicious food, amazing cocktails and wine options, a large menu with lots of choices, great ambiance, and great service. The staff is always friendly and attentive and make us feel right at home. Since the new owner took over, it is always getting better, with little improvements every time we visit.

Love the cosy vibe of this place, along with a really nice tapas menu and good choice of wine. Service is on point and friendly. Always a nice visit!

Cute place. Some of the food is very tasty, although some are a bit bland. For example the patatas bravas could use wayyyyy more sauce!! Service tends to be a bit unattentive, but friendly once you have their attention.

Every year I organize a Christmas gathering with my closest friends to celebrate Christmas. This year I chose Bar Barrica. Why? Because it’s in my neighborhood in Oud West, and it met all the requirement's I was looking for, when hosting such a gathering. We were 17 friends, and we could not have asked for more. The staff were amazing, attentive and really looked after us throughout the whole night. The wine was amazing and the tapas type, sharing food, was delicious. Everyone had an amazing time, as illustrated with the lovely messages i received the next day about this wine bar and restaurant. They all thought it was a very, special place to have a cosy intimate, evening with friends. I would definitely recommend this magical little gem, in the Oud West. Whether it would be on a romantic date, or with friends to have a cosy, night out. It is soooo “ GEZELLIGE” as the Dutch would say. If to visit this place, you will think the same. Enjoy!

Great spot for casual dinner/bites and some tasty wine. Really loved the St Marcellin, asparagus and the albondigas. Friendly service and welcoming warm atmosphere. Only thing I would have wanted to change was that the stools were actual seats with a back, but I guess this is because I’m lazy and it takes effort to sit up straight for a few hours 😂. Look forward to another visit!

A wonderful place, small and true to its values, the food and wine is great to share. the space although small holds it sown with the atmosphere and to top it off the service is fantastic, which truly is a rarity in Amsterdam. Highly recommend to try the Chicken bites too.

Food was good not special, big portions for the price so definitely a plus. Wine was also good, and service nice and attentive. Interior was done well, especially the bar looks beautiful. Will come again.

I’ve been wanting to go here for a while and it was well worth the wait! A really lovely restaurant and bar with amazing service and the food was delicious! A must-go but you absolutely have to book in advance as it’s got limited seating and very popular.

we went there with 12 of us and it was really nice. food is tasty ,service is quick and the peoples how work there always made sure we were happy with our orders . wine was also good ! thank you again for that nice moment ! until next time ;)

Empty place but says it’s full because of reservation. We passed by the place an hour later and it was still empty. I guess some places don’t need business after all! The first time we went there it was very pricy and slow service. There are definitely better options in the neighborhood.

Frozen mushrooms and sauce in the truffle pasta which makes me think the food is not fresh.... Also a hair in the brownie, which is something that can happen (we're all human and have hair) but in combination with the frozen truffle pasta... not the greatest experience, unfortunately. [Addition] The owner called me afterwards to recognize that this should not have happend and that they should have handled it differently at the night itself which is much appreciated. Very taken care of place the good is quite good but a bit inconsistent two of the same plates came to the table one full of sause the other one correct. Th staff is friendly.and the atmosphere nice overall one the good places to eat.

Went for a glass of wine Saturday night. The staff was super friendly and also seems to enjoy it there. Great ambiance. Would go back. Chill vibes.

This is a real winebar with an extensive collection of wines (including some really special and high quality ones). The food pairings are great (fresh, high quality ingredients) and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable (ask for recommendations!). They have a fantastic terrace in the nice oud-West neighborhood but the inside is also really nice. I can highly recommend this place!

Just been to Barrica and told them I only had an hour for a quick bite with a friend but was completely ignored for 30 minutes. New groups came and managed to order and be served before my friend went in to ask if we could order. Ignored again and the table next to us were able to order. Can only think the only difference between me and everyone else was that I wasn’t white. Can’t really think of another reason why I was ignored repeatedly and the waiters preferred to serve others 🤷‍♂️

Really nice place for good food and wine with friends. Make reservations, it's often fully booked.
