I can’t recommend this cocktail bar, there are definitely better bars in the area. What I liked about the place: lighting (starts projection on the ceiling) and page in the menu where all drinks were placed on the chart based on their sweetness and strength level. Why 3 stars: cocktails are not good, they all seem to be watery with poor flavour. You can get drunk from them but you cant enjoy the taste. Also, the atmosphere is not very cozy

You could spend your life searching for better cocktails and a warmer, more inclusive, environment and never find it. The kindest humans - staff and patrons - gravitate here. Go get amongst this absolute vibe. Both the menu and interior design celebrate sustainable and locally sourced products brilliantly.

We came here for a bachelorette party and had a private cocktail workshop for the 13 of us. I’ve been to other cocktail workshops before but Vesper was recommended to us and it exceeded all expectations. This was genuinely the best cocktail workshop I’ve ever had. Riccardo, the mastermind behind the bar and the workshop, created such a fun, entertaining and amazing experience for all of us. Everyone got involved, there was lots of laughter and excitement, the cocktails were delicious and the overall experience was pure entertainment and fun. Definitely the best part of the day! Cannot recommend this enough and grazie mille once again Riccardo!

All cocktails are amazing. reinterpretations of classic cocktails, pleasant and welcoming service. I've visited this bar several times and there's always a pleasant surprise! The menu changes sporadically, making each visit at different times a unique experience.

When you are looking for a small, intimate bar with world-class service an cocktails for a fair price. Vesper is the place to go. The whole team has an outstanding eye for detail and flavour. Their regularly changing menu gives you a perfect overview of all available treats, or, when you are in for a surprise, have a "leap of faith". Whenever you are going to Vesper, you are guaranteed to have a great experience.

Really nice cocktails. Has an mid-2010s vibe that I'm nostalgic for and struggle to properly describe. Definitely a sit and drink and chill for hours sort of place, they take time to make great cocktails so don't come in a rush.

we came here for drinks pre dinner and Joop the bartender was so wonderful!!! the cocktails were delicious, we tried a tiramisu one which was insane! the bar itself had such a nice vibe and atmosphere. we ended up coming back after our dinner because we had such a lovely time and Joop remembered us and was so happy to see us! he is the best bartender i have ever met!

If you’re in Amsterdam, do yourself a huge favor and visit Vesper - especially if you’re a real fan of real gin, or genever, or jenever. Or whatever! The menu is delicious. I visited Vesper twice during my trip to Amsterdam. Each night, a very different experience. Both were met with a hospitable warm welcome, a cozy atmosphere, and fine craft cocktails where gin is supreme. Food: (drinks!) On my 1st visit, I enjoyed Vesper’s Negroni. Smooth. Easy to drink more than one. While the small space was standing room only when we arrived, once a seat cleared up they brought us a small bowl of bar snacks, common at respectable craft bars in Amsterdam. During the second visit, it started off with us saying, “just one drink” and ended up with us shutting the place down with the bartenders over patron shots. It started off gently with their signature, Vesper - sweet and refreshing, and espresso martini - bold. Then I opened my mouth and we were there until until 2 trying whatever bartender Airto recommended, and you’re in good hands when the bartender takes over! Service: On both occasions the bartender’s made us feel at home with Joop greeting us at the door with a warm welcome as if we met before and we just stepped into his home. He cares about his customers as much as his neighbors in his quaint, quiet neighborhood. On the second night, our drinks were in the safe hands of Airto. He took great care of us, explaining each drink he crafted. Expanding our knowledge and taste of gin with not one, but two variations of jenever, and old style genever. Ambiance: You never know what you’re going to get when you visit Vesper-hospitality and fine cocktails aside. Sure it’s cute and quaint with a surprise basement in the floor. I implore you to make nice with your bartenders, explore off menu, be ready to stand, stay awhile to soak up the space, good music, and smooth drinks. I cannot wait for the next opportunity to return and enjoy more of Vesper. Very nice cocktail bar, great atmosphere and good cocktails. Only drawback is that they don’t serve food, not even nuts. Plenty of options around though if needed.

Nice cocktail bar! All the classics are good, serving is good, I’ve try gin sour and martini, all legit. The interior is not my type but definitely well done. The atmosphere is chill and easy. Bartender can be creative and fun.

The lighting fixtures are outstanding and great for taking photos. Most of the cocktails on the wine list are sweet and refreshing. Highly recommended

Lovely place, they serve amazing cocktails. The manager is a great guy who told me more about his passion: cocktails. It’s amazing that they have a new menu every month. Love the Bond theme as that was the reason for me to go visit the first time.

Lovely, friendly staff, laid back atmosphere like you’re in your own living room surrounded by your best friends, five-star drinks made from the most unique blends of ingredients out there! Not much of a bond theme so don’t go expecting tuxedos and bond theme music, but you will not be disappointed either way!

Amazing cocktail, steep price, cute ambiance. The men's bathroom only has a urinal and the women's isn't indicated to be gender neutral. Please give a man a seat :). The bond theme doesn't really continue throughout the whole bar. I only spotted a picture on the bathroom but not much else. A bit more theme would make it cooler, but it's good as it is as well.

Top best premium drinks in Amsterdam, maybe the world, definitely a hidden gem. The drink Sesam Thing is master pice! The service is friendly and passionate.

Amazing little gem of a bar. We went two nights in a row. Let the bartender Ricardo make whatever you’re craving. He made something we called ‘white Christmas’ which had coffee, coconut, cream, rum, cinnamon and other amazing things. Can’t go wrong!
