HELLO FOODIES🤪 Today I have @reggaerita for you guys it’s an authentic Jamaican restaurant in AMSTERDAM🇯🇲📍 This is my 1st time visiting this amazing Jamaican restaurant, and it will def not be my last time. They do takeaways and delivery 2, but you can also have a seat and enjoy your Jamaican soul food. My fav dish was of course the rice and peas with jerk chicken. The jerk chicken and other wings were marinated till the bone I cleaned my plate like it came out of the dishwasher. They have everything form oxtail, patties, jerk chicken, ackkee and salt fish, to wingsplater the list go’s on if you think about Jamaican food think about this spot. They are open from Thursday till Sunday only🟢 My order: 📃 Wing platter: Barbi frie, French frie, Jerk wings 📃 rice and peas with jerk chicken 📃 rice and peas with ackkee and salt fish For more reviews about foodspots in Amsterdam and other cities follow me on IG/tt: Joelthefoodie

The restaurant was very nice and the decor was very inviting. Our server was extremely nice and welcoming. My food was pretty good, but my friend who ordered the chicken and waffles had to send her chicken back 2 times because it was not cooked in the middle. They were very apologetic about it and was quick to remedy but it sucks it had to happen 2 times. I would still visit again the next time I am in Amsterdam.

The food was alright. Unfortunately when we arrived at 7 PM a lot on the menu was sold out. Mind you they open at 5 PM. I guess the spot is very well visited. The lady stated that due to lack of flour and oil they also had to limit their menu. Drinks was also very limited. And as everyone else stated, it is pricey for what you actually receive.

For your Jamaican food cravings I decided to have a look at Reggae Rita's authentic Jamaican food was promised. Looking at the digital menu I felt like some of my favorite Jamaican dishes were definitely missing here. I decided to go for a classic, Jerk chicken with rice and peas and a home made passion fruit drink. The digital ordering system is nice, payment at once and hee wait.. is there a standard 20% tip added to it? That's quite generous to pay upfront and definitely not a Dutch standard. The rice and peas was good, so was the chicken but really nothing spectacular and I found the dish to be little complete. The drink was more or less forgotten and while I was thinking of the home made maracuja drinks I usually prepare for myself, fresh sweet and sour a continued with my chicken. The drink really wasn't that special, and really did not taste like anything home made. At home I prepared myself a lovely hibiscus ice tea (why wasn't that on the menu). It's a good experience, but no must see and definitely not a place I would soon visit again.

Don’t like to post a negative review at all. Better safe yourself the disappointment!! The food might be ok for take away, but the place is not equiped to eat in the restaurant: messy place, no cutlery (wood disposable) no plates (plastic disposable), a dirty broken toilet, 70% of the menu is ‘sold out’ at Saturday 18pm… 40+minutes waiting time, although we were the only table being served. 20-25€ per dish served like this is a shame. The owner should 1st organize the restaurant before inviting customers to eat in.

This drinks and food are standout. We went for brunch and got the jerk chicken and waffles. We wanted to order more food but most items were sold out on Saturday at noon. Service was slow but the food and drink options made up for the long wait. A bit on the pricey side but I guess the food speaks for itself. Would go back

Not sure why this place gets negative reviews, food was delicious and service is great. Yes, it’s a bit hard to find, it sits above an Indian restaurant and you have to go through the Indian restaurant and take the stairs. There’s no sign outside but if you spot the Jamaican flags in the first floor window, that’s them. We went for dinner on a Saturday night and they were sold out of a few small dishes but most of the mains were available. The jerk chicken and goat curry were delicious. The place is small but clean and service was very fast, friendly and attentive.

I don't know what was better, the lovely and friendly staff, the amazing FLAVOURFUL food or the delicious drinks from Callaloo Hoek (shop in a shop). We had the Trinidad and Tobago tasting platter, the T&T style chicken and wafffles and Caribean Ice Tea. My absolute favoriet was the Maxi Linder cocktail. Highly recommend this fantastic place! Update: this place I no longer working with Callaloo Hoek so they do NOT serve this kind of delicious food anymore)

First time eating Jamaican food and it was delicious! Even though the restaurant was tricky to find and on the old side, it was cozy & I’ll be back for the food

A hidden gem in Amsterdam. Absolute must visit for authentic soul hitting flavors beautifully presented by friendly hosts.

What a disaster. We were waiting for 1 hour to get out food AND drinks. I can understand that the food takes a bit longer (even though pancakes and waffles shouldn't take 1 hour) but at least they could've serve us the coffee. Pancakes were nothing special, dry.

Visited this place on the 23rd of October and it was amazing!! The staff is super friendly and transparent, and if they ran out of something they would let us know and send someone to the store, very considerate! On top of that the food was super good! We ordered (spicy) jerk chicken, plantains with rice, beans and coleslaw! It’s super authentic, well-cooked, fresh, delicious and actually underpriced for how good it is! Would definitely recommend anyone who likes good food to visit this place :)

I loved my experience here, the food was really good and authentic. I tried the vegan Ackee which has a unique flavor and is very tasty! Boyfriend tried the jerk chicken which was also amazing he told. We will definitely come back and try the Ital stew (other veggie option) Also the staff and owner were really nice and helpful in recommendations and service!

Really tasty! It may be a little rough around the edges, but our dinner tasted lovely. We had the Jerk Chicken, Fries, Plantains, and Beans & Rice. I've not seen her eat chicken skin in 20 years. She ate all of it! We are both looking forward to our next meal.

Had an absolutely amazing breakfast here! My wife got some delicious (and sizable!) Avocado Toast and I got the 'Special of the Day' Chicken and Waffles! They were super courteous and helpful throughout the meal and were especially kind to our dog who we brought along with us. Strong recommend to come check it out and get some tasty food, you won't be disappointed!

Love the food ! Had the chicken & waffles and it was very delicious. Staff was super friendly but don’t go there in a rush because everything takes a while.

Delicious food and drinks, chill vibes and lovely people. This is the place to be.

I think the place changed owner, very mediocre - pancakes and waffles are okay, a bit expensive for what you get, music too loud and staff that hasnt quite gotten the hang of their job yet. Stuff like clearing tables when new guests sit down, bringing out food for all people at a table at the same time, it all felt a little bit unprofessional. The reviews of the place that used to be in here seem really nice, now its just another franchise thingy

Delicious, homemade, wholesome food. The service was very friendly and you could tell they love doing what they do. Can definitely recommend, will return next time I'm in Amsterdam. Fair prices too & great coffee.

Definitely check this place out for great drinks and service. I recently visited Water and Brood and would definitely come back! I dined with a group and although the restaurant doesn't have table service, the Manager Natalia attended to our groups every need! I had the Hawaiian Sophie and a plain waffle. Both were delicious! My daughter had a bacon waffle which was equally delicious. The Hawaiian Sophie was so good I had two! Natalia's excellent service and friendliness was a great way to start my day in Amsterdam. If in the city definitely check this place out.

Super friendly staff..very warm and welcoming. The drinks were tasty, I got the passion fruit lemonade and a cappuccino. The chicken and waffles OG was also good. My favorite thing about this restaurant was the staff.
