Went to have some lunch with friends. One of my friends is argentinian and he was very upset about the place. People who work here are not argentinians and when we ask for how much weigh some steaks are the waiter didn't know. I don't understand how you can work in a steakhouse place where you don't know the menu by heart. The steak without salt, no taste at all. The cooking of the steak wasn't good either. We asked for medium and came rare. Price very high (23-30euros) for what you get (see picture). The place was empty in a sunday lunch...i understand now why... NOT RECOMMENDED!

We came across Siga La Vaca after walking and taking a boat tour of the canals. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We have picky eaters in our family and they were able to accommodate all of our needs. The food was very good and reasonably priced, the atmosphere was very nice and warm. We had a very nice time and I would happily go back the next time we are in the city!

Not a very pleasant experience… menu is confusing with lighted cheaper menu at entrance then another more expensive menu at the table. We had a burger and asked for mayo and ketchup because it didn’t have any and they charged extra for the 2! Waiters were not friendly and pushed for tip at the end saying it was not included, not true. Saw a dirty kitchen when I went to the restroom, with a broom and bucket of black water that they use to clean the grill!!!

Never disappointing. We went here several times already in the last 12 months. Steak is always cooked as requested and prices are decent for a steakhouse. They do charge for ketchup and mayo, but it's not uncommon for Amsterdam. It's a small, quiet place compared to where you can eat in the area, service is really good. I'd argue their taste in the music they play, but it's not disturbing. Those complaining and expecting a €10 meal are not going to the right place. It's super central, but not like the cheap places you get some greasy meal after a night out.

First time I was here 10 years ago. It was PERFECT. I remembered this place for maybe the best steak in EU. Now 10 years later I bring my son to try this finest meat and to continue tradition of eating the best stakes in his life. Also the same waiter was then and now. Same smile, same perfection, same kindness. If you really want to eat good and quality food, to be served with smile and without eye roll for your choice, then this place is MUST DO. Cheers

Absolutely not worth the detour. The meat is tasteless, the quantities for the skewers ridiculous and in addition you are charged Ketchup sauce and mayonnaise for fries that is not even indicated on the card. Quality price zero, nothing is justified. Lover of good meat pass your way.

Yes, I have visited Amsterdam many times, but never have I ever for once thought about Argentinischen food, however Siga La Vaca is a side bistro from the Red Light District with really great steak and beer. Me and a friend decided on a steak lunch and this place did not disappoint. We devoured our plates and share a side of Pommes. If I ever visit Amsterdam I will come back. Two forks up for this place.

Nice restaurant in the middle of the red light district. Service was good and steak cooked to perfection, as was the cheeseburger. It was very basic however with very little extras on the plate but still very tasty! Prices were fair. Would recommend if you want a nice place to eat while browsing the red light zone in Amsterdam!

It was just ok. We were expecting a restaurant standard experience and on the whole it felt more fast food. The steak was cooked well and was tasty but apart from that it was all below standard. The big burger we thought we'd ordered came more like a boring quarter pounder from Macdonalds (we've had better at maccies!) The jacket potatoe was undercooked too. We visited on new years day and the service charge was 20% !!! I explained I was happy to pay 10% but based on the experience 20% was too much. We were charged it but were later given a €10 note back by the manager as a 'good will gesture'. All in all it was just OK, a very expensive just OK experience.

Ok to be fair. I see many reviews trashing this place. The good: the goulash with garlic bread was really really good, the special menu (steak) was as I expected it to be for a 10 euro promotion signaled outside. I see good quality price for it. The bad: the couple that attend it. They are clueless about restaurant service. Rude dude owner by one side, the woman was nice but broke all the time the experience taking a seat in another table like another customer. The place could lift up very well if they fix their mistakes. The goulash was super good.

We found this place, while we were wondering around Amsterdam. The two hostess (Khadija & Paula) were amazing, nothing was to much trouble. The Food was amazing. We both had a steak which was cooked to perfection.

Everything that you put in the plate should be eatable but the argentina I've eaten had some guarniture made of some old corns and rocket salad that I didn't even try to eat for how old it looked ... anyway the argentina was great 👍 also the dessert

%100 do not go place. Food is not good, quality is poor, staff are rude and not friendly, very unprofessional. My food was far far away from what I had in mind. The owner almost trapped me inside. On the door they had American Express sign. I went in, had a very bad meal with even a worst service you could ever get. When I was about to pay they were insisting for cash, didn’t accept my Amex and made me borrow a friend card to pay. Very unpleasant experience from A to Z. Not recommending at all.

Food was really not good at all. We had burger and steak. I could not finish the burger since it taste like nothing and the fries where not crunchy and no seasoning. Toilettes were dirty and smelly. Two employees seemed to no come along with each other which everyone noticed. This probably led that the service was not good at all.

Worst experience! I should have just gotten up and left when I felt to. Wasted €80 False advertising, Worst food ever. They put a board outside with things not on the menu. Menu outside shows €10.99 Prices inside Menu €25.99 If they could charge for you sitting down, they would. The Steak is CLEARLY not Argentina. The Heineken for sure isn't Heineken, tasted diluted. I don't know why they've decided to be scammers, they could easily do the right thing and offer a better experience.

After a long morning of walking around Amsterdam and missing lunch we came across this gem of a restaurant. First class service with excellent food and wine was a treat for our palate. The ambiance and music added to our enjoyment of this venue.

Worst steak house experience ever. Salad made from carrot, preserved corn and one (!) slice of cucumber with few cheapest salad parts. Meat is just acceptable, but for the price, it is really small portion and not tasty - you can eat it just to make your stomach full. Not to mention in the menu they are offering baked potatoes, but brought fries (without even asking). Sauce tastes like one from the bottle. Very bad quality of the food - don’t recommend at all!

Worst restaurant experience ever! Overed 6 steaks, only 5 turned up. Sides game 15 minutes later with sauces, by this point the medium steaks that were rare came were cold it had taken that long. The 6th steak finally came and was as bad the rest. Undercooked, tasteless. We ordered a second round before the food came and never got them. Got the bill which had more expensive steaks on. Staff lied and said we’d ordered things we hadn’t. Tried to offer us another round of free drinks even tho we’d already over paid. To top it off the owner came and was aggressive and demanded it doesn’t matter how bad the service was we must pay full price. Then blocked the door and pushed my friend back inside who had already paid. He then sped off in his car. Immature owner, shouldn’t be allowed in charge of a restaurant and an absolute rip off for what you get.

my order was a rare T-bone steak (but it was raw) with a side of rice, I finished eating my steak and the rice didn't arrive (I mentioned that my rice hadn't arrived and I waited for a few minutes and when the waiter decided bring it I had already finished the steak). I don't recommend it!

It's a surprisingly good restaurant. Very tasty and simple Spanish inspired food. We tried two types of soup and rice with vegetables and grilled steak with salad and fries. Decent prices and the personnel was also very kind.

The food was mediocre, you pay for sauces and the service was horrendous. I asked where the waiter was from to make small talk as I was alone and the restaurant was empty and she just ignored me…

It was fine here, steak was a little rarer than expected but I'm ok with that, less salt than expected but again in ok with that. It was fairly empty.. and another day we ate somewhere else with steak and... It wasn't a steak only place...and it was better than this steakhouse.. so.

If you’re coming for the steak and experience, this is the wrong place. If you’re coming for ok food, likely overpriced but friendly service and an outdoor seating area for max 2 people then this is the place. The steak quality is good but for the price tag you expect a higher grade, particularly since it doesn’t come with sides. The icing of the cake was the €1 per ketchup/mayo pots

Extremely rude waiter food was OK despite being given wrong food and magically expected to know the difference with 100grams difference in steaks. Server was Extremely rude to staff member that made the mistake and told us we would!!!be paying more for our meal even though it was there mistake!! Avoid this place at all costs plenty of other lovely places to eat in the area.

I advise you to avoid this "restaurant", it's a tourist trap ! The prices put up outside the restaurant are 2 times lesser than those on the menu. The waitress asked us if we want some water. When we opened the water, the cork was already opened before so it was a tap water. When paying the bill, surprise : 14€ for 2 bottles. That price wasn't on the menu, of course. The meat we ordered was not good. We were very disappointed
