A triumph. Exhibitions are superbly chosen and presented. The rooms are cohesive - they have been painted and sculpted to match each exhibition. The building is magnificent. Oh yes, there is also a rather large collection of Mondrians…

Easy access to get to from the tram and public transportation. There is a nice view of the water upon entering and when you get inside there are coat racks and lockers available. There are only 2 floors but we spent quite a bit of time here so it’s much larger than expected. My favorite exhibitions were Royals and Rebels. Other favorites were Tsjechisch-Slowaaks glas as well as Delftsware Wonderware. Nice museum, different art but still was interesting to see and look at.

Kunstmuseum Den Haag (new name) is a museum for modern art and craft. In their own collection there are works by Mondrian, Monet, Francis Bacon and Picasso. If you’re interested in architecture the museum is also worth visiting for the building, which is from 1935 by architect Berlage (1856-1934).

In my opinion this is one of the most beautiful museum buildings in the Netherlands. The Kunstmuseum Den Haag building alone is worth a visit and they have very beautiful exhibitions and interesting audio tours!

I went to the Kunstmuseum Den Haag just for the Rebels exhibition, it’s about the clothes in the rebels movement in UK. Really cool 😎 clothes, even the look from Lady Diana. The museum is huge and they have a lot of exhibits there. They have a cafe.

I visited this gorgeous museum recently 5 as I wanted to see the Royals and Rebels special exhibition. Previously I have enjoyed the permanent exhibitions of Mondrian. The Royals and Rebels was a refreshing delight injecting a wonderful kaleidoscope of colour and texture. A poignant reflection when you faced two dresses that belonged to Diana the Princess of Wales. Interestingly, the two dresses were the only ones enclosed in a glass box. There is a strong influence coming from Vivienne Westwood and it feels feels fresh and quirky. I loved spotting the fashionistas gasping and gawking at the dresses. A wonderful outing!

A beautiful museum. You’ve got student, senior and youth discounts so make sure to check it out. The register lady was kind. It wasn’t too crowded when we went (a weekday somewhere in September). I do feel like I have missed an exhibition or sth since there are no directions or any arrows to follow. Very picturesque (see pictures below).

This museum can be accessed by taking a bus or tram from The Hague central station and it’s around 20-25 minutes journey. I enjoyed the peace and quiet as it’s not as busy as other museums in The Hague central. There are in depth explanation about the originals of delft blue and also Asian influence & Asian symbols made from delft blue porcelain pottery. Will definitely recommend others to visit it. The food at the cafe and the staff there was also very friendly!

Good and beautiful museum with a wide range of art. I don't enjoy the more modern collections as much. But all in all good.

(Translated by Google) They don't even have a McDonalds and our kit didn't have Fortnite socks. They don't have black friday deals on the artwork and 11. If it was 69 I would have given it more stars. The art was also out of date, as was the supervisor. Generally not recommended, you better go to the nursery across the street, at least they have a Wii.

Kunstmuseum is a combination of art and playfulness. On -1 you will find the children's sections which is amazing for any age and the ground and first floor have everything else that you would like to see. The price for this museum is €17 and I would totally recommend to anyone to book the tickets in advance as you may have to wait even for half and hour. I found this museum a bit weird when it comes to which round to follow in order to see everything with a convenience. There were no arrows to follow and I found it a bit confusing. Some people may find it nice not to have directions as it is free space. I am sure that there are things which I have missed because of that. The staff are friendly and helpful and all in all it is worth visiting both with and without children!

a huge museum with a wonderful variety of exhibits, we went to the nicole eisenman and mondrian exhibits and they were both very cool. the mondrian one is really big though, so if you're planning on checking it out you should definitely schedule more time for it :) I do wish there were more signs/guides/directories at the entrance though, it's a little confusing to get around inside the museum.

Worth the visit and worth the penny. You will never regret to visit this big museum which is full of arts and exhibition. It takes a while to finish all and enjoy the arts in this museum. So much fun!

The building is a piece of art by itself. A Berlage highlight! Many famous artists' works are to be enjoyed here in spacious settings. But there's so much more, like Delft Blue eartenware, "stijlkamers", temporary exhibitions, different ones overlapping, so there's always something new to enjoy.

Amazing museum where you will find many masterpieces to be enjoyed by all family members. For kids only there is Wonder Camers special attraction - my boy spent there about two hours and was very happy. And while kids are exploring the Camers you have your time to see the exhibitions! Very recommended! I only missed coffee there as the cafe is currently closed 😌

The kunstmuseum (art museum) in den Haag has a very unique building. They have a wide range of works shown. The famous Mondrian painting is exhibited here. I’m here for the temporary exhibition of Hilma Af Klint. Very delicate way of using colors. Highly recommend!

Fabulous museum, meandering through Kunstmuseum was exciting, almost labyrinth like wonder of exploration. A great place for young and old alike. There is a restaurant/cafe with tasty food. Highly recommended while in The Hague or blessed if you live here.

I really love visiting this place. Nice combo of arts, creativity and entertainment for all ages. Relaxed and not too crowded. Check out the cafe as well, it's a nice space, playfully designed. The pictures I added are from Royals and Rebels exibition, this one is settled till the end of 2023.

The art museum in the Hague is a beautiful museum housed in a building designed by famous Dutch designer Berlage. The current Royals and Rebels exposition is put together exquisitely and really demonstrates the evolution of British fashion. Also, check out the Wonder Room in the basement for some fun interactive art experiences.

An eclectic and substantial collection with both breadth and depth. Grand cafe has good food. Tuna sandwich with cucumber was good.

  • 5/5 Frank V. 1 year ago on Google
Never visited the Kunstmuseum before, but it is actually quite nice! The Mondriaan exhibition was quite well laid out showing the progression of the artist in fine detail. The best was of course the exhibition of the Strandbeesten which visitors could move all by themselves. Also the atelier is worth a visit to make something nice with kids.

The museum's extensive collection of Dutch and international art spans from the 17th century to contemporary works, offering visitors a rich and diverse cultural experience. One of the highlights of the museum is its collection of works by Piet Mondriaan, one of the most celebrated Dutch artists of the 20th century. The museum offers also an impressive selection of art from a wide range of artists and movements. From the Dutch Golden Age to contemporary works, the museum's collection is thoughtfully curated and beautifully displayed. Personally I enjoy the architecture of this museum a lot. The building has undergone several renovations over the years, with the most recent one completed in 2021 by the Dutch architects KAAN Architecten. One of the most impressive features of the renovated museum is the new entrance hall, which has been transformed into a light-filled atrium with a soaring glass ceiling. This space provides a stunning introduction to the museum.

Great art space. Lots of variety. Loved the Egon Schiele, plus a great Van Gogh. 16 euros to enter. Lovely airy gallery spaces the 17 tram goes straight here from the centre of The Hague.

Nice museum with lots of work by Piet Mondriaan. I liked the architecture of the building itself as well. Due to construction on the road not the easiest to reach right now.

  • 4/5 Sherry Z. 1 year ago on Google
This museum has a very good collection of artworks, especially in paintings by Piet Mondrian. If you are a fan of Piet Mondrian, this museum is a must-see. Among all the brilliant works on display, I love “The Red Mill” the best. The contrast and the mysterious sense created by red and blue is so stunningly beautiful. However, the reason I came from Germany to this museum - the famous “Evening Red Tree” by Piet Mondrian - was not on display on that day (2022.06.22). I asked one staff if it was lent out to somewhere else and he also had no idea. One day before my visit I checked the website but there was no information indicating this painting was not available. It was a pity. Minus one star for taking down one of their most well-known masterpieces without prior notice on website. 🤕

A lovely collection and even lovelier staff! The translations were in both Dutch and English and were very informative. The collection was impressive and I loved the art by both the big names and more local artists

This modern art museum has a large variety of dutch modern art including Mondriaan and MCE. Make sure to download the app before you go in as it provides a lot of rich information. The art museum has a restaurant in the middle which provides coffee, tea, juice and some light meals including sandwishes. The toileta are generally well maintained and clean and the staff are incredibly friendly and bilingual. At the bottom is an amazing section for kids to have an interactive experience and learn more about the various exhibitions and art in general. You might want to allow a good hour for this though as there is a lot of moving around, dancing and running from one room to the next. As for the main exhibits it is really well displayed. The MCE exhibitions specifically is amazing as the displays transports you into the world of shapes, dimensions, lines and spaces. This is a must see option to provide you with a good balance after viewing various of the other older Dutch paintings and art.

The museum is a very interesting and beautiful building. It has multiple wings and floors and it will definitely take some time to see everything. In the different parts a variety of art is on show. Some modern stuff and some very historical pieces. The museum really has something for everyone's taste. The "basement" has a lot of furniture from 50's 60's and 70's. Felt like walking into my grandmother house. I think that part is also suitable for older children and for people who like to have a nostalgic feeling.
