Unfortunately we did not have the experience we were hoping for at the Pulitzer. My room was accidently cancelled by the hotel the day before my stay, and they would not offer an adjusted room price (as it was a few hundred dollars cheaper than when I initially booked). Reception would not provide an upgrade (even though they were available to book) or the price adjustment, just a breakfast buffet. Our room did not have a view of the canal like advertised, and had a musty smell. While the location is absolutely amazing and the lobby ambience is lovely, I don't think I'd stay here again given the price.

We stopped here for a cocktail and it was amazing! The drinks were creative and delicious and not overly stuffed with mixers. A proper cocktail spot. Highly, highly recommended! The service was also the best we had an Amsterdam. Incredibly kind and generous folks here. 10/10.

The place is gorgeous, I'll start with that. Our drinks came quite fast. I had the raspberry Bellini and it was delightful. The food took a bit long and my friends burger was not cooked as she wanted (ordered medium rare, it came medium done). The wait and the meat miss made me take off two stars. My pasta was good, I have no complaints about tjatt.

To say the least, the service was unacceptable. We came as a couple with a really good behaving 7yo and wanted to stay for lunch. Because there was no sign or whatsoever and nobody seated us we took a round table in the shadow. Besides a couple of taken tables the restaurant was empty. After a minute the waiter came and told me that we took a table for five and we have to take another table (in the sun). I said that this is not an option for us since it is a almost 30 degrees and cloudless. We then demanded to take another table and ended up on a place for two people which was way too small for us. Anyhow, because I stayed in the Pulitzer in Barcelona a couple of years ago and I remembered the Club Sandwich to be amazing we stayed although we should had known better… To give you a short recap: the staff was rude and even if there still were no people we had to wait for a long time before they even asked for our order. They also more or less ignored us the whole time and we literally had to beg before placing more orders. It took them 10 Minutes to bring a big bottle of sparkling water in an empty restaurant. The Club Sandwich itself unfortunately wasn’t as good as the one in Barcelona. To sum up our experience: it wasn’t worth the money and I will never go there again nor will I recommend the Restaurant or the Hotel to anyone. To not forget the most funny part of it – the table we wanted to take in the beginning was still empty and never used when we left this horrible place. There are plenty of good Restaurants in walking distance and I’d recommend anyone to not spend their money at the Pulitzer Garden.

we absolutely loved this hotel. first off, all of the staff were incredibly friendly - we felt welcome before we even stepped inside the front door! the fit out of the hotel was gorgeous and it was thoughtfully decorated. we loved that the hotel was made up of multiple buildings, as it made us feel as though we had more privacy. it was also nice walking through the glass tunnels surrounded by plants. our room was spacious and tastefully designed, had a beautiful view, plenty of amenities, lots of room for our belongings, and was quiet and calming. housekeeping also did a fantastic job. we loved the breakfast - big bowls of fresh fruit and lovely pastries, plus a good selection from the a la carte menu. the hotel was centrally located and close to all attractions we wanted to visit. loved this hotel, truly the definition of a 5 star hotel.

I'll start with the good. The neighborhood is beautiful & quiet with tons of little shops and cafe's. Within walking distance to most of the city but it's hard not to be. The Garden Cafe and bar areas were inviting and the service/food was good. For this, I'd give it 4 stars. The rooms were sub-par. Checking out was painful knowing we spent around $1000 per night for a tiny, dark, damp room. We had trouble sleeping because it was so hot and stale with no airflow. The linens also were slightly stinky, which is unacceptable for a 5 star hotel at this price range. I realize that major city hotel rooms are usually on the small side but this seemed excessively tiny and cluttered. We stayed for 5 days and really struggled with the lack of space, constantly tripping over shoes and luggage. Overall the hotel felt like it put more effort into the instagram-able lobby than the accommodations for guests. Sadly, I wouldn't recommend.

I’d you like purely esthetics this may be a hotel for you (beautiful with nice garden, etc.), for me it’s 1/5 because the quality of operations is none. You ask for an iron and cannot get it for a day, you organize an event and they get you super slow coffee machines of very low quality, the cleaning service is slow and leaves the minibar not refilled as well as a dirty rug in your luggage, you ask for a late checkout and they don’t offer it because there is a big group of people leaving (despite 80% are leaving in the morning so even if you wanted as a hotel you won’t clean all the rooms and that would be a perfect day for a late checkout). The rooms are very small and full of useless furniture (big tables, big sofas, etc). Therefore if you focus on hotel services quality, avoid it - many nicer hotels are available nearby.

It is one of the most interesting hotels I have state history of the hotel is interesting the owner is buying all the houses around the hotel and getting bigger and bigger good stuff fantastic food beautiful decoration very central very clean I enjoyed the three nights we stayed there I wish the hotels rules were a bit loose specially for smoking you’re even forbidden to smoke outside in front of the hotel you have to pass the road to the other side to smoke if you’re a smoker and one more thing as it is a five star hotel I asked for an orthopedic pillow but not fortunately they didn’t have it in a motel of the standards mast have pillow options!!!! oh I forgot one more point I would like to tell is the mini bar in the room totally full you cannot even put a medicine inside I think they should leave at least a small spot for the visitors to put something important and must be stayed in a good place.

The location, and design are perfect . but for money I paid, it is not worth it as the room is tiny. The only reason I stayed there is the location. Service was slow. They do not serve bottled water as they want to be green, however they have them in the mini bar and restaurant, also the suit for free so If you want to be really green, you should not provide bottled water at all in the property but they are doing it to save money. Not all people are used to drink tap water so you should understand. As five star hotel paying around 700 euro per night, I expect to be treated better than other hotel.

Liked the boat cruise and the club sandwiches and rooibos tea at the bar definitely a must try. Very good restaurants and luxury rooms all situated in connected old building. Creaking floors just add to the atmosphere and it is such a good experience to stay here

I had a such a fantastic experience, as this was my birthday and first trip to Amsterdam. The ENTIRE staff was phenomenal and went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care. I feel so bad I don't remember names, but literally everyone (entire lobby staff, bellman, security, housekeepers) left a memorable impression. They not only accommodated an early check-in, but upgraded my room and left me a beautiful mini cake and bottle of champagne in my room. Everyone was very pleasant every day; one of the staff members noticed me walking several minutes away from the hotel and greeted me! Drinks at the Pulitzer bar were amazing and there was a nice spread during the daily breakfast; there was enough variety for all food restrictions. Be advised, there is construction being down, but the property itself is very clean and well organized. I highly recommend this property. I can't wait to return.

Love the vibe once you get in til check out, check in procedure was fun and smooth, Camilla is so kind and informative. All staff are well trained and experienced. Pulitzer garden is a nice place for aperitif, Jansz for dinner is best choice for fancy like romantic night, make sure you have a reservation, gets quite full. Check out (wish I remember the girl's name) was so helpful and kind. Thank you for such an experience. 🙏

Best hotel in Amsterdam- location, service and room quality are excellent. A big shoutout to Stefano at the Pulitzer Bar who looked after me so well. This establishment is simply special.

5 full stars! Fantastic retro-nautical ambience, made up of creative material and colour choices that create a cozy and welcoming setup. Copious shower, very comfy mattresses and canal-view breakfast. Cordial and responsive receptionists. Found nothing more to ask! More leisure oriented but great for business hops as well

Hade a great time! Food was great, didn’t take long at all and tasted amazing. Staff is very friendly and they really want to make you happy! So nice to see happy people working in a beautiful place. You can tell the restaurant is being runned by people who really have a heart for their job. Well done and keep up the good work! See you soon!!

Pulitzer is a great 5 star hotel in a great location. The people who works there from the reception, concierge, and the rest of the service providers simply make your stay a memorable one. The lobby is a pleasant place and well-designed. The rooms are on the small side and the bathroom even smaller! What mostly disturbed us was the lack of sockets all around to plug all our devices etc, a bit old infrastructure in this respect. should be upgraded. Breakfast is the biggest disappointment, such a low-level buffet and a la carte menu. No culinary imagination and certainly not on a level with the rest of the hotel, don't bother, just cross the street and get breakfast there. All in all We really liked staying at the Pulitzer. We stayed in a canal view rooms in the “A” building so going in and out was easy and fast. Will be happy to stay there again in the future.

I dream of this soup. I popped in on a rainy day by myself and the staff were very welcoming. Two bars to choose from and both beautiful. I went with the one closest to the gardens and ordered a few glasses of wine and mushroom soup. The soup was unreal good.

The hotel was the best part of our trip. Upon arrival we were upgraded to the antique suite and wow, what a treat. The experience was only elevated by the the excellent housekeeping staff that made the room beautiful each day and were tentative to every need. The concierge set us up with a boat tour on the Pulitzer’s antique river boat with Captain Ronald. The boat was beautiful and with the boat to just our family, we conversed with Ronald about the history and sights in Amsterdam. I could not recommend staying here more.

Fantastic experience. The vibe/atmosphere, staff, food/drinks were all amazing. We started with a private transfer from the airport, driver was great and very professional. The rooms were so cute and had many things authentically Amsterdam or Netherlands. We were greeted with stroop waffles in the room and a special treat for my birthday. The grounds are very pretty with a courtyard, swings, two bars, and restaurants. Location is great. Would absolutely go back

Stayed here for 3 nights around the kings holiday and it was very busy but service was still too notch. Loved the rooms and layout of the hotel, it’s so unique and would suggest anyone to stay here when in the DAM. We are ate both restaurants, the food was excellent at both. I loved the fresh berries in the morning breakfast buffet but the hot breakfasts left a bit to be desired.

Love this hotel. It has a beautiful ambience. It's very well located and the front of house staff are very helpful. The Garden Restaurant's food and service let it down which is a shame. Even so, the hotel's overall ambience makes it my go-to hotel in Amsterdam and it's dog friendly.

I was expecting stuffy, high end and expensive. It was certainly high end, not overly expensive and medium stuffiness. 10-15 is the best you can expect in a place where you’re paying for the seating and ambience.

Staff in general seemed a bit stiff and incompetent. (With the exception of Jason who works on the night shift, who was always went out of his way to be helpful and kind). Rooms look really dated. Breakfast is appealing - considering what they charge you for it. Two stars for location. You couldn’t get a better location to easily walk to all the sights.

We stayed here for two nights as a family with two young daughters! The room was a great size for all of us, the restaurants and the design of the hotel was amazing, there even was a small tasteful playground for the kids in the property. We loved how helpful the staff was and how amazingly family friendly this whole hotel was. We also enjoyed the ride on the hotel boat, an amazing experience! Overall, one of the best hotels we have stayed in, worth every penny!

Wonderful oasis in the middle of a busy city! I celebrated my birthday at Pulitzer Garden in May 2021. Thank you to the staff that made it very special! Everyone was friendly, ready to help and each congratulated me personally. That was a nice touch. The food was excellent! The garden is not exposed to the streets of Amsterdam which makes it quiet and very special. It has its own lovely atmosphere. The tables are placed well far apart, the staff members are wearing masks and gloves. And as a special gift from the restaurant I got a tiramisu on the house.

We ate here twice for lunch during our stay at the hotel. Food was good and I think this place is better suited to lunch than dinner, hence why we went elsewhere in the evenings. We enjoyed the burgers, sandwiches and pasta here. Price-wise it is too expensive for the sort of menu it offers. No sandwich should be 24 Euros, even if it was delicious! I felt they could do with more tables outside. It was too hot to sit indoors as it is like a greenhouse under the glass and gets way to hot to be comfortable. They have a huge courtyard so could afford to extend their seating area to accomodate more people. Overall it was a lovely place to have at the hotel when we didn't have time to go out for lunch, but just a few things they could do to be better.

Dropped in here for some cocktails about an hour before the kitchen closing. Very Nicely decorated garden but only a few choices of signature cocktails. Out of which Bellini raspberry was not available. We tried the remaining 3 and some white wine which was excellent. Cheese platter was disappointing. Service was good. This is upscale slightly costlier place but worth the experience.

Nice and romantic inner courtyard restaurant in the middle of the city. The service is very attentive and professional; something we’re not very used to in Amsterdam. The food is good, but not great. The green salad was fresh, but seemed more like a side dish than a starter. I was recommended to order a pasta dish which was supposed to be ‘spicy’, but it was actually bland. Nice atmosphere though, so would come back to enjoy that.

Remember to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your resort. This web site will compare countless booking websites and typically will have rooms a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is the best rated in this area. I have been coming here for a very long time. If you stay for a few days you for sure won't be disappointed. Very friendly staff in all areas of the hotel. A unique combination of 26 plus houses into a beautiful hotel. Great service and easy walking distance to many of the highlights of Amsterdam.

Spotless clean. Your mother would approve. Lovely hotel. Quiet and relaxing courtyard for eating and chilling. Interesting history in these several hundred years old buildings. Couldn't have asked for more.

This is a beautiful, comfortable, relaxed hotel in an incredibly nice location. You're off the beaten path, but only barely. Quick options for exploration and tourism nearby, great places to eat, a canal right outside, and a large area inside the hotel grounds. By combining multiple buildings the Pulitzer created a very comfortable area to spend your morning s and nights, while you explore the city by day. The only thing missing was some additional in-room amenities, and the service when eating. Similar to other experiences in Amsterdam, service was hard to get a hold of. We also were able to take a private canal tour on the hotel's own boat , it was an incredible experience. Great experience, would go again.

Fantastic bar with a great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, and tasty drinks. The music was also not too loud which is a big deal for me personally, it's nice to go to a bar and be able to have a conversation with the person speaking next to you, which isn't always the case in some places. The only thing I could fault was that the drinks are a little pricy, you do get what you're paying for in the form of the atmosphere but it means that I would not come back as often as I'd like.

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price.
