I recently made a reservation through Booking.com, and I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. Unfortunately, I mistakenly reserved a room that was designated for women. Despite my earnest attempts to rectify the situation, the hotel management refused to cancel or even change my reservation to a different room. This has left me feeling incredibly frustrated and let down. To make matters worse, the receptionist at the hotel showed no willingness to assist us. Her lack of empathy and support only added to the already disheartening experience. As a customer, I expected better treatment and a more accommodating approach from both the hotel and its staff. I have been a loyal customer of Booking.com for quite some time, and I have never encountered such a disappointing situation before. The lack of flexibility and refusal to provide a suitable solution have left me questioning the reliability and professionalism of both Booking.com and this particular hotel. I strongly advise other travelers to exercise caution when booking through Booking.com and to thoroughly research the policies and customer service of the chosen accommodations. It is disheartening to be left stranded with a reservation that does not meet our needs, especially when the hotel and its staff are uncooperative. I hope that Booking.com takes this feedback seriously and takes appropriate action to ensure that other customers do not have to go through similar distressing experiences in the future.

Booked 3 weeks in advance, only for us to arrive and the room not be ready. After 20 minutes waiting in the lobby which is not very clean, we were given a key to our room. It was evident the room was cleaned in a big hurry, but we were tired, so didn't bother with complaining. After trying to sleep for 35 minutes (loud music from the room next door, can only imagine what was going on there from the smell in the hallway), some lady barged into our room which was locked from the inside. Something is very wrong with this place, and after reading some of the other reviews I'm not sure anyone should be staying here without accepting their personal privacy is compromised. It's entirely possible that someone will enter your room while you are asleep, and steal your things, or worse...

The check-in process was really smooth. I chose a room just for me this time, and it was peaceful...The interior design of the hotel is really fun. The hotel is good for travelers and families. Short 10 walk to the train or metro station. Nice area overall :)

The room was very clean, but the shower hose had a hole in it that sprayed straight out. The staff did take note and said they'd fix it after we told them. The location is pretty good. It's about a 15 minute walk from the Sloterdijk train station. The staff was also very friendly and the cat is very cute.

Me and my two friends left the hotel this morning. And gosh we have complaints!! my friends, have booked a double bed room at me, a bed in a shared room. When I enter the room there was a horrible smell coming and I kindly asked the receptionist to change a bed since apart from the smell, it was not a “shared” room but a room with only men! The receptionist told me that the hotel was already fully booked and he couldn’t give me another bed and that is something I can understand, but the attitude was so rude! My friends’ room was spacious and comfortable, however they informed me the next day that around 3:00 in the morning there was a guy who was kicking their room door, probably he was drunk and was yelling. UNACCEPTABLE! They did not have any control of who could enter it so I do not believe that it is safe for the guests to leave any valuables there. The check out day, we went to the reception desk to leave the keycards and there were two girls in front of us who were making complains that the receptionist was listening without paying a lot of attention. When it was time for us to check out, he asked us if there was a problem with our stay and we said that there were many of them, he did not ask anything and he said: you never know what you will find in Amsterdam! Like all of the problems was not something important to him… what can I say. I would not recommend it…

Super nice and relaxed staff. The room was big and clean. We had a studio with our own bathroom and a small kitchen including a fridge, a water boiler and a Coffee machine. That was great. The team even put some ice cream in the freezer for us on a hot day! Right behind the Hotel is a park so it was pretty calm. Wlan worked perfect. The whole hotel is super colourful and stylish. We got fresh breakfast every morning made just for us. With fresh Cappuccino, lots of fruit, scrambled eggs, Croissants or cookies. We got a safe and free parking spot for our car. The bus and tram station is a 5 minute walk away. And within 15-20 minutes with bus/tram you are right in Amsterdams city center. I would recommend this hotel for young travellers that are planning a short city trip. You'll love it.

great hostel and amazing experience. not super central but has good links to sloterdijk station to catch the train or tram into the city centre, plus there’s a spar and a lidl within walking distance if you need to stock up on food. the beds were surprisingly very comfortable and the amenities were great with a fridge, microwave and kettle provided in our private room. we also had a seating area and the bathroom was private too. the shower worked great and was very clean. toilet paper was restocked often and the bins were taken out for us too. staff were friendly and we were even given bottles of shots on check-in but be warned that they do try their best to charge you if you’re even a little bit late checking out. our building had an air hockey table and and a vending machine plus a seating area inside with swings and a beach themed seating area right outside which was very fun. got a little bit noisy at times but the only real issue was a crying baby which can’t really be helped. overall an excellent experience and would definitely stay here again!

Great location. Close to the big train station. Nice rooms. Very clean. Amazing, amazing service. Great staff. cool. Free parking. Its very good plus. Other hotels write about parking but in real parking its payment on the Street. Teleport hotel have free parking on premises. Amazing Stuff. THX

Budget hostel. The location is okay, however a bit far from the center. Anyway 500 m is the bus-tube-tram station and the Spar too, so it's not so bad. The staff is nice. The cleaning is unfortunatelly problem, they should to do it more and more times. I recommend this place for young travellers and group of friends, and I do not recommend for older people, couples and families.

Unworthy mentality! They asked me to confirm my credit card 1 month ago. They did not send me an email or call me to say it was good or not. They asked me again 3 weeks before my trip to re-enter my details and cancelled the entire reservation, supposedly because my card was not in the same name as my reservation? How can I justify this aberration when the payment was supposed to be made on D-day? I have never had a problem with the card with which I booked so many hotel nights. Nothing has changed for 3 years on the same platform. The only real justification is that I had booked well in advance and that the prices were very attractive (only 600e for 3 nights for the Easter weekend) The day of the cancellation, I tried to contact them, the platform on which I had booked also did it. And their simple answer was to advise me to rebook again. What a joke!! of course now that I want to book it's 1500e! It's a shame, really... they clearly know that 3 weeks before the event, all the people who don't have accommodation are forced to book at exorbitant prices... RUN AWAY!!!

The rooms were not available on time as shown on their website. We had to wait with all the luggage. We were promised that 1 room would be provided to freshen up over call but that wasn't the case when we reached. We had booked 2 rooms- 1 small room and the other was a dorm with 6 beds. The single occupancy room had a pungent smelling carpet so we all had to stay in the 2nd room, thankfully we were only 6 people. Overall the dorm room was good. Hotel is a bit far from the city centre.

The location is not that easy to get to the center. Best to use the bikes. The room was just ok, not clean nor maintained. The bathroom was extremely small. The windows do not open for any breeze nor the room have ac so during the hot days it stays really warm. Even on the cold days or nights with no breeze, the room stays hot. During check in, the guest in front of me were upset because they left for the day and returned to not find any of their things. Everything was missing, they claimed. I don't know much more if the story. So we took all valuables out of the room with us each day. There is no way to tell the room service to not service the room. We verbalized it to them and they still entered the room to clean, but no cleaning was done, no trash removed, or no towels replaced. The towels were so thin that they ripped during use. The only service we received was our bed being made. So why even come in the room? The washer and dryer are a nice touch but the dryer takes hours to dry anything. The doors do not close that well and we had several times when our door just swung open. When we went to see who it was, we only saw the service crew in the hall. Everything just felt off. It is a great social hotel with many hanging outside the door.

Stayed in a King Room with a en suite bathroom. The stay wasn’t bad, you get your moneys worth. The staff was very friendly and welcoming but the rooms aren’t that great. The bathroom was clean and the rooms maybe need a dusting. Important to note that if you are staying in the summer time that there is no AC however the hotel does provide a fan and has windows that can open. I would stay here again for the price.

We rented this place for 3 night, the room was nice, private shower and a good bed. It more than 1 our walking to the center, but you can use the tramp for €2. Checkout is 12 pm

Went here to stay the night before a race running the half marathon of Amsterdam. Good and decent place to spent the night. We had the 4 bed room with separate bathroom. The room was a bit small and some of the beds can use some maintenance or tuning. But overall we all agreed on a good night rest and enjoyed the marvellous breakfast that was included.

The best shared room hostel I've ever stayed at! Large and spacious room, equipped with a sink, refrigerator, microwave and individual lockers. The private bathroom was great, it was clean and tidy and the shower was excellent. The only negative point is that it could have more sockets, especially next to the beds, they were few for many people. There was a rude guest who made a lot of noise in the morning while everyone was sleeping, but that's not the hostel's fault. The breakfast, although it was at another location, was also excellent, very well served and the service on site was very good! Although it is far from the main tourist attractions, it is very close to the train/metro and bus station, so it was perfect because the location was very quiet. I highly recommend it and if I ever return to Amsterdam, I intend to stay there again.

Not worth it! - No cleaning services for the room although it tells you otherwise :( - dirty bathroom - used sponges in the kitchen :( - bed is comfortable although the matress are moving (don't stay in place) - fridge and microwave; clean and useful - thin walls

Great service by staff specially reception girl, Magarita, who quickly checked me in and helped. Clean pretty hotel. Liked their ambience in common areas like reception, waiting lounge. Specious rooms. I would come back again whenever I visit Amsterdam

What a great place to stay. Ylenia was amazing so full of knowledge of the area. Was so helpful in every way. Thanks Ylenia. The breakfast included in our price at Watts was fantastic. The server & chef were extremely helpful as one of our party was vegetarian. Even providing a take out on our last morning. The only downside was it was cold in our room due to a vent & no blankets available. Both our room & bathroom was spotlessly clean.

I spent three nights in Teleport Hostel with 4 friends. Private room with microwave, fridge and cutlery. The accommodation is 8 minutes walk from the station (which is 10 minutes from Schipol airport and 10 minutes from Amsterdam Central), a very good location. If you prefer to rent a bike in the hostel (16 euros per day) it will take you about 20 minutes to the centre. Free coffee machine is available at reception. The service and cleanliness is also very good, I would highly recommend this hostel.

I have seen reviews from other people as well. I guess it depends on which room you tent. I booked towards the higher end, so no complains about the room. But it was very expensive as compared to other hotels in Europe. For us apart from expensive rates, everything was fine. The experience was awesome. The staff at reception was the best we experienced during our Europ tour. Everyone had a real smile and didn't seem to have a fake one. The arrangement for the breakfast was awesome ... the presentation, the gestures, the ambience.. everything was so nice.

It was such a nice experience to be a guest of that hostel!! I will totally go there again in future. I was really happy about the hot drinks in the lobby and the chill area. Eveything goes together so well, as would there never be something else. I chose it because of the parking area but now I will choose it for everything.

I booked my room through Airbnb. I didn’t know it was going to be in a hotel. I arrived a bit early but I was still checked in. My luggage was brought to my room. I had a nice clean room and bathroom. There is plain water and sparkling water available at the front desk 24/7 which was a plus. They have rental bikes electric and traditional which helps getting around Amsterdam easier. There is a restaurant in walking distance with the city center and 10 min bike ride away. I enjoyed my stay.

Amazing experience at this hotel. Quite unique from other ones. Has colorful hallways and rooms with pictures of amsterdam! The rooms had fridge, microwave, tea kettle, dishes and even souvenir keychains! Breakfast was included at Watt place nearby and their food was amazing. This place is about a 15 min drive from the inner city so its location is good too.

FREEZING ROOM, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I had a bad experience at this hotel due to having no heating in my room for a particularly cold night in mid October. I complained to the night receptionist that my room was freezing cold and a draught blowing through the windows meaning I could not sleep. I had tried to play with one of the radiator controls but no heat was forthcoming. No alternative room was offered ( I think they were full). The night receptionist did not offer to come to my room to check the heating over either. I was told that the heating was not working at all and it would be fixed in the morning. I was given an extra duvet. I slept fully clothed and was cold all night and developed a cold from this stay. The next day I complained and checked out and asked for a refund for my remaining night. I was told this couldn't be done now and had to be sent by email. As I was in a rush for a tradeshow I left and later complained through my PA. Despite numerous emails I have had no refund for the night I did not stay due to checking out.. Their response was that the radiators were turned off and needed to be turned on with both radiator controls. I can't vouch if this was true or not, but even if it was. 1) Why was the radiator turned off in the first place on such a cold night and the room ice cold? 2) Why was there no instructions on how to turn the heating on should it not be on in the first place (ie turn both dials not just one)? 3) Why didn't the night receptionist come to the room to see if he could help? 4) Why did the night receptionist tell me the heating was not working? Location good for transport, but nothing else is good at this hotel, particularly Customer Service.

No Offense but the room was way better then we had expected from the photos and price. We're mentally prepared for 'Just a bed to sleep in' and were pleasantly surprised by a great suite of a room. Very Spacious, very kind staff, great service, all in all great experience. I see reviews complaining that it's not easy to get to the center of Amsterdam which is just wrong. You can either walk 10 minutes to the nearest train station or take the bus there, from there it is literately 1 train stop to central station.

A really nice hotel !! The staff was very nice and welcoming, the hotel is well located, at less than 10 minutes of the train station and the breakfast was good with both sweet and savory food. Futhermore, I really like the atmosphere, kinda for young people. The only flaw was that it was really noisy at night and we had trouble sleeping because some nights we could hear people talking outside or in the hallway. Despite that, it was a great place to stay for a week.

Really great service. Personnel was friendly and helpful. Too bad the beds were subpar (our backs hurt after 3 nights!) and the beds weren't made after the second night. Towels were changed, bin cleared, etc, but the beds were still a mess when we arrived after a long day. Such a pity, because the service is 5 stars for sure.

The hotel seems great, but I guess just as a hotel. I wanted to rent out a room for 6 months as mentioned on a website (kamernet), where the price mentioned was 575. I spoke to the person on Kamernet and she said that there are studios to rent from 650-800 all inclusive. But when I visited the place, they told me that it's 750+150 service costs. Now that's quite a difference and I can't afford that, so my visit was a waste of time. When I went to the hotel to see it, it was lovely, but the receptionist didn't know anything about prices, price changes, other official stuff. She just showed me the rooms and sent me an email with some details (which showed the higher prices) and that's it. For rent, there's no phone number to call and discuss terms, just an email address, which is super inconvenient especially in more urgent situations.

Stayed there for two weeks. Had a big room with an ensuite bathroom and a huge bed. Really cool hotel as a whole : 5min walk from a train station (which has trams and metro as well), very nice staff. For the price, don't hesitate.

  • 4/5 Ori K. 2 years ago on Google
Good quality for the price paid. The breakfast was decent. The rooms (single occupancy, en-suite), were spacious. The staff was polite and helpful. One train stop away from the central station or a 10-15 min Uber ride.

One of the best places with very good service. Mostly the cleanliness of the rooms, convenience to reach the Metro, Bus and Train stations. Just 5 mins work to the central station. Many surrounding places are there for food and coffee. Even the hotel provide 24/7 coffee at the ground floor, if you bring the cup from the room. Some cookies and Apple too there for free. Value for money place!

I had reservation for 03.2020, the pandemic hit, there was lockdown in Amsterdam and flights were cancelled. This hotel refused to refund me, although there was no technical possibility to even get to Amsterdam. The hotel claimed that the only thing they can do is to change the dates, which I didn't want, because it was unclear how the pandemic will develop. They lied to me that they can't change the dates and directed me to Booking.com, which explained me that it's the hotel that should change the dates. Eventually, they changed the dates to October, when there was lockdown again and I couldn't get what I paid for and never got my money back. This is how this hotel treats its customers. I would never recommend, such hotels are shame for the tourism industry and don't represent your country in good light. I hope you've spent well the money that you refused to refund.

+ perfect region to visit Amsterdam (next to the train station, very easy to go to Amsterdam Central) + free car parking + friendly people at the reception + funny rooms compared to a youth hostel (not an hotel) ~ breakfast 50m to walk at WATTs, no self-service, fix breakfast for 14,5 Euro (not very interesting for kids :-( ) - funny room but dirty room. cleaning lady only cleans what she can reach. Spiders in 2 corners with a lot of dust, pasta sauce or something other red stuff in one corner... (only told my kids not to sit in that corner) - in the evening only possibility to go to SPAR shopping or find something to deliver, no snacks in house. I need to remove really 2 stars because of the dirty room. I think the rooms can be simple. BUT not keep them hygienic clean is a NO GO.

Very comfortable setting. Lovely helpful staff. A bit of a walk to the station. They have a cool idea that you spin a wheel. (No spoilers) but that’s fun for sure. My room had lots of amenities which I didn’t even know I might need :)

The position is good, few minutes from the station and 7minutes walk from the nearest supermarket and restaurants. The rooms are spacious enough. The workers are so available and so funny, even the director is so down to earth. And thanks to Ylenia for making the stay much funnier and lighter, she is so sweet and available. All of them are but her in specific has that amazing personality. Oh and 5stars just for the coffee and water being free. Will surely come back!

Super relaxed and nice team, dog-friendly, beautiful beach in front of the hotel. Currently construction site next door. The rooms could be cleaner and better maintained. Good for a short break.

Honestly might not look like much from the outside but its a great place to stay especially if you book a dorm room with your friends. Travel into Amsterdam is an easy 5 min train and night buses run past 1am. Breakfast is great too.
