One of the best places to have sushi in Amsterdam. From my experience, sushi restaurants here are all mediocre, low quality rice fish and overall products are low quality, of course with some exceptions. Despite this, Tomo Sushi had some above the average sushi rolls and the service was excellent, waiters are really polite and helpful and they also provided me with a free sample of japanese fried chicken before I got my order. I’ll definitely come here again!

Tomo Sushi 🍣 is very good sushi! Prices are reasonable and staff are accommodating. They seated me an hour before my actual reservation which I really appreciated. I ordered the mint tea which was really refreshing and miso soup 🍲 was very tasty and the sushi was very fresh and definitely the star of the experience. I highly recommend it.

Reasonably price sushi with good quality rice. Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend the toro nigiri/sashimi, the soft texture, the way it melts in your mouth and the delicate taste of the tuna is simply amazing.

I was looking for a sushi delivery within a reasonable timeline, but looking for quality. I found this sushi place on Google maps and Uber Eats with good reviews. Quality of the makis was average - good, gyoza were average as well as the yakitori. Wasabi was great! Delivery was efficient, and with good care. This restaurant remains a quite good sushi place, but you went to much better sushi places in Amsterdam and other big cities for this price.

I have to say, this is the best Japanese sushi I’ve had by now in Amsterdam. I will definitely go back for another nice meal. I love their sushi! Good job!

Great little sushi spot in Amsterdam. If you haven’t booked, you’re more than likely not getting in. A few fruit flies that bothered me. The food was great. I had the eel udon bowl. Service was great. I would come back again.

The food was delicious and the service was decent. I ordered the Tomo Menu with dessert and it was just enough for one person, I didn't overeat. The service time was quite fast, I didn't have to wait long for the next dish. I'm not sure about the prices, but I think they were average-slightly larger than average.

Solo traveling from the US for a couple of weeks, I wanted something familiar one night. I checked the website and every time slot was available for a reservation so I decided to just pop in. This seemed to catch everyone off guard and maybe irritated them a bit, either way I felt tense and unwelcomed the entire time I sat there. Had to track down the waiter to finally place my drink order and figured I’d better place my food order at the same time. I ended up only placing that one order because I couldn’t get my waiters attention again. As I was eating I realized I probably needed to ration my cocktail to make it to the end. Food was good, but portions were a bit small by my norm. I then had to track the other waiter down to get my check just to get out of that awkward experience. It’s unfortunate because I was looking to order several drinks and a lot of sushi for a nice “home like” meal, but instead, I walked away thinking how nice it would be to just be home. Maybe it was an off night or maybe I should have just made a reservation, but dining here was the worst experience I had over two weeks in Europe. The only star is for the food taste which was good, but just sushi. I wouldn’t seek this place out again. Walk a little further east and really treat yourself.

The fish was so soft. It melted on my tong. Great tast and good waiters that gave me recommendations. You can tell they have experience! Loved everything but the yakitori can have more off the flavour pallet.

Incredible sushi, I would highly recommend the Uramaki and Futomaki. There are lovely amber lights scattered throughout the room and the sushi bar feels very authentic

I used to think I wasn't a fish eater until I visited Tomo Sushi. When I went to sushi houses, most times in the all-you-can-eat style, I mostly ate salmon and didn't like other kinds of fish. On my visit to Tomo, I decided to risk a bit and let them choose what I would have (I only asked to not be served prawns, squid, or octopus, as I don't like them). Everything was super fresh, amazingly prepared, and delicious. I couldn't believe it. I left amazed and with a new favorite Japanese restaurant in town. Also, for the ones afraid of cost - we were 2 people, we ordered everything we wanted until we were satisfied, and the bill was 20 euros more expensive compared to when we go to an all-you-can-eat place. Amazing.

It was great. The service had no problem with the babies. The food was absolutely delicious. I loved it. Would love to come back! Thank you so much

Visited on a sunday night. Its a small, but cosy place. Sushi is made freshly in an open kitchen and served quite fast! Worth the price. Also handled my sesame allergy professionally. Cheapest white wine is around 26 euros a bottle; so keep that in mind. Tables are quite close to eachother so you can tune in into other people’s conversation, also not the worst thing ;). Overall, a very nice option to eat sushi à la carte.

We had a great night! The sushi and sashimi were simple, fresh and delicious just how we like it and it acceded expectations. As a Japanese restaurant owners we were expecting more but then again we were just as satisfied. Thanks

Loved the food. They served the items we ordered in such a smooth order one after the other, the sushi was fresh and the chicken and lamb chops were very nicely done. The staff were very friendly as well.

Good service, easy atmosphere, and they are quick. Some of the best sushi I’ve had in Amsterdam. Definitely better quality than the AYCE places, and actually has people who care. Will do again - might be my new fav

Walked In on a Wednesday afternoon and place was empty but staff were great and we were seated immediately. Ordered the sushi platter for 2 and it was amazing. The "spicy"sushi with the green balls wasn't spicy but the popping balls were so unique and we have never experienced such sushi. There was an unfortunate incident with sushi quality but it was immediately resolved by staff no questions asked. And they were gracious to give the drinks for free.

Fantastic place, never miss a chance to dine in when I'm in town. Sushi is all about quality rice, fresh fish and pleasant service, all you can find here. Chef is genius.

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
