JUST AVOID THIS PLACE - Below average and tasteless food with slow service. Take a look at the onion salad we paid for. It was badly cut and onions were not even fresh. If you are running a restaurant, you cannot and should not serve onions like that in the name of a salad and charge Euros for it. Ordered Kadhai Paneer and Balti chicken. There was no difference in taste between the 2 gravies. They were not even close to their description. Just simply disappointed with not just the food but the below average ambience, pathetic dirty toilets and not so friendly staff. Not sure how this place has been running for this long. The ambience is just too gloomy and shady and no proper ventilation. Aircon was also not working and they had the table fan on which just made the food cold and bread dry instantly as they were served. Rice came free with the chicken but was undercooked.

We walked into this restaurant during lunch time. We received a very warm, welcoming atmosphere by the restaurant owners Mr. Dakshaan and his partner. The food here is really delicious, more varieties, fresh and very good quality of ingredients. We ordered chicken briyani, fish briyani, Naan, papadam, spicy chicken wings, vegetables kurma, black tea, and masala tea. The masala tea is very good, and I was really craving for a good milk tea, and I finally found it in this restaurant 😋. I highly recommend this restaurant for whoever wants to try indian food.

Glad I found this place near my hotel. A real surprise to find such homely quality Indian food in such a touristy area. You have to follow an alley way to find a cute easy homely atmosphere. The service was excellent and the food was special. The dhal and lentil was just as my agie and Nani made it. I got the thali and it was just enough for one person, meal was served in courses. Really nice vibe in Amsterdam if you want something a bit different. Music was also on point! I’m from NYC and I can say this was a true delight. Would totally recommend, especially for families/couples.

The food was so delicious although it takes awhile to get ready but worth the wait, the location is great it’s near Amsterdam central, the place itself is small and you have to wait for others to finish until you get a table. When we were there one of the waiters had an argument with a customer and when the waitress tried to calm the situation he was so rude and loud with her, that waiter was rude with us as well. 😒 but if you like Indian food they really have delicious food ( I loved alo paratha and recommend it)

Very good food! Cool authentic environment. Don't be fooled by the small sign in the center of the city, it will lead you to a tasty Indian cuisine.

It's a authentic Indian restaurant and must try is to try Veg or non veg Thali to try maximum variety of their Delicacy, the uncle is very friendly and doesn't mind to give extra Naan or soup.

Hi, It was our first international trip out of India and we had visited Amsterdam. The expectations were we would not find anything like India especially food so we were prepared. But we found the Gandhi indian restaurant just near Central station Amsterdam, it was just Fabulous. Taste, service, availability, ambiance was excellent. We have tested the real indian taste here. Special Thanks to Anna( manager) of this restaurant who is very helpful and very nice human being.he helped us in lot of things. Fully satisfied and will suggest this restaurant to everyone.... Just loved this..

We had very good food there! Restaurant is very near to the Amsterdam Central station. In terms of ambience, it can be improved. However, service and food is good at reasonable price. Ps. If restaurant owner is reading this, Please try to add some paneer and potatoes in the veg briyani.

First I wanna say the all items were super tasty. But the problem was about a promise from a staff, he offered us that if we order same platter then they will provide buffet with all items. We were eight, We ordered 8 same platter and expecting buffet, unfortunately they provided all items with few quantity. We didn’t get more unless we ask. Asking for food isn’t a good sound for us. That wasn’t a buffet, a false deal it was. Finally enjoyed ‘kheer’ , it was perfect! Guys I ask you all to read other reviews and see how is always their reply.

When you’re home away and you crave for Indian food, this is the place to go to! Just tell them what you need, no what which part of India you’re from and they’ll make it for you. The owners are so fro and caring, you’ll feel nostalgic for sure.

Authentic Indian cuisine. The place is at the end of the hallway. The place is cozy, clean, and the service was fast. We enjoyed our meal there, we had chicken biryani and checkin butter. The food were delicious and tasty.

This restaurant is kind of a hidden gem in the city center - you wouldn’t notice it just by walking by. But as soon as we entered the restaurant area we felt really welcome. The staff was super super friendly, helped us with everything and answered our questions. The food was really really delicious, would definitely recommend trying something here (we got fried onion rings and lamb with onions and paprika). I also got Mango lassi which didn’t disappoint at all. All in all, I really enjoyed my dinner here, thank you:)

Food was less salty in my taste and a bit pricey. In general, food was ok, especially the dessert nailed it. Staff is friendly and professional.

Food was amazing - very very authentic. Typically mild for a wider group of people which is fine - but the flavour was there and the silver serving trays look cheap but again authentic as hell, it’s a small detail but a nice touch. Where they could have improved is took time for food to arrive and toilet was not great but we luckily had time food so was all good.

We had the Gandhi meal for two. We asked for medium spicy but it was not too hot. We were very full. All the dishes were excellent. Service was excellent.

The place was recommended by a friend. Stood up to the expectations. Super delicious food and a great hospitality😋 Starters were tasty, chicken tandoori, onion bagee and samosas, and the msins were absolutely delish, lamb korma, chicken tikka masala and butter chicken. Enjoy!

Gandhi Restaurant is located very close to Amsterdam Central station. Food was nice, but quantities felt a bit less. They offer varieties of Thalis which are at bit higher side of price.

Food is good. Great location - It's located on the Dam square. They served onion and green chillies, which I didn't expect. One extra star for that. Thali is good. Ambience OK, ok

It is the best Indian restaurant in Europe. The best Indian Punjabi food I had ever had in Europe. This is located in the heart of Amsterdam, Netherlands/ Holland. You will get best quality and tasty food here. The Owner Mr. Rajinder is very jolly man who is running this business of serving desi food to Indians and foreigner in Amsterdam. He his staff makes his customers feels comfortable and treats as guest by taking care personally and friendly. Many celebs and politicians visits this restaurant. Thanks Rajinder paaji for the complimentary 'ghar jaisi Gobi ki sabji', it was really very tasty!

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
