The crab on the menu, which is literally a deep fried crab - cost €12 for two small battered crabs. I gagged when I tried to taste it, so my girlfriend who did not want to waste the money ate one of them. She spent the next two hours throwing up in Schipol airport, and spent the flight home in the airplane toilet where the Ryanair staff kindly looked after her. We ate everything the same that day, except for this crab.

Great tasty food. We tried 4 dishes: lobster roll, fish and chips, cod chunks, and herring. All delicious and fresh. Service is a bit hectic though. The staff is nice and polite, but slow and unorganized. The cashier was switching from taking orders and preparing food, all with the same gloves touching everywhere. They also ran out of napkins and asked us just to take them from another food stand. The food hall has a nice vibe.

Came here because I saw the bao buns on the menu. I then realized they had fried cod as an option, and I had to try it. They were so good! They're a decent size for the pricepoint, and they came out sizzling hot.. One thing I'd suggest is that they keep at least a two-man staff. Looked like they had a staff member from one of the other food stalls that would alternate with their crew.

Very nice sea food, great choice of meals (oysters, buns, snacks). Friendly staff will recomend you catch of the day. Fried squids are crispy, buns are amazingly fresh, dutch herring - absolute must try, if you like raw fish and if you want to eat like locals eat (served with pickels and onions in a bun).

Salmon taco was almost to die for. The sauce was made by hand from the flavor to judge, and very unique. Presentation was beautiful, loads of color. Waiting time only a couple of minutes. Soft shell crab had a bit too much batter, taking away too much of the crab flavor. Also, prices were despite the great location a bit on the pricy side.

I just wanted one thing from their menu and they did not disappoint. Name has changed, and it's a 1 man stall operation, he was very nice

Prices are extortionate. Food takes ages. Calamari was so hot it burnt my mouth. Oysters... well I’ve tasted better.

Nice service. Food looks great. Very “interesting” in terms of taste. The Krabby Patty was very tasty and recommended. The prawn burger was quite spicy, even though I eat spicy regularly, my partner's mouth burned. I personally find the price-performance ratio to be borderline.

The Dutch Oyster were delicious and if not for the price I would have many many more. Added a second round after.

The nice staff explained that this is my “fish” and “chips” pointing to each tray. It was quite filling, but i was expecting more of a breaded slice of fish. The fish was also more dry than expected unfortunately, but

Although there wasn't much going on, the staff clearly seemed overwhelmed. Perhaps the two men lost their desire to work at the end of the year. Making the customer wait twenty minutes for a portion of fish and chips is far too long. The food was not very tasty and far too expensive. The good rating regarding the ambience is due to the overall impression left by the food halls. Nice concept.

I went there during my first ever week-end in amsterdam, was told to go to foodhallen which I did and that's where I discovered Le Big Fish, there were a lot of people, only one man working there, the poor man seemed really annoyed and tired which resulted in him being really rude to a guy before me in queue (I waited 10 minutes or so and then I witnessed this) Of course I left with a bitter sweet taste in my mouth. Maybe they are good, but when I went the experience was awful and depressing. (I didn't get to taste their food though, might be good, don't know, don't care)

No idea why there are so many negative reviews of this place. Had fried cod nuggets and fried fish buns two nights running and they were crazy good. Food is well prepared, fish is fresh, and the menu is simple but has real depth to it. Definitely worth a stop if you like seafood!

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
