After 11 years at this gym i stopped my membership. It was first fit for less, great gym Then new york gym, was also good, different vibe but still good. And then trainmore came and everything changed. -They put different sauna in, which now doesnt work anymore for a while. -A lot of lockers dont work anymore. -they took out the boxing corner -door of the mens lockerroom is already broke for years -part of the equipment is out of use. And here comes the biggest dissapointment that made me quit my membership. 30nov at 20:00 o clock i received a mail from the gym, in which they say, in order to give me "more" experience they have to increase the membership cost with a woophing 25 percent! "More" what? More broken equipment? More dissapointment?

Marcel is the nicest and hardworking person and we love the vibe of this Team but TrainMore management could give him more support, the sauna isn’t working for several months and we need a sink to wash our hands outside the toilets like the one we have at Koninginneweg location, also the showers could have an update

The sauna was one of the deciding factors when choosing a gym - now it has not been working for 4 months and apparently will not work again. Now part of the gym is closed due to poor sound insulation. What kind of discount of 1 € per workout can we talk about if the access system often does not work and you literally have to climb over the fence. But at the same time, the administration does not forget to increase the cost of the subscription, citing the desire to improve the service, but so far things have not gone further than desires. Guys, don't you think you've lost touch with reality? If you can't get your gym in order, just close it - compare your reputational losses with the real profit from this gym.

Anyone considering joining this Train More or any other should heed these comments. The quality of service in this gym has been steadily declining for some time now: equipment is constantly broken, classes are cancelled, a 'broken' sauna for months with nothing but excuses from staff and customer service, and now a large area of cable machines has been closed. The icing on the cake? A 45% increase in membership fees, citing the need to "keep improving and upgrading our facilities"... when were they ever improved? Train More was once a good gym but during and after Covid, it turned into another greedy and soulless enterprise, robbing their customers for months, charging fees while no services were rendered. Their modulus operandi is clearer than ever: buy up all the gyms and then turn them into poorer experiences, anything to save another euro. Anecdotally (from other members and across other locations) this attitude is simply their corporate culture now, of excuses and copy-paste generic customer service replies to see how much nonsense their customers will tolerate. Only join if you want to be a part of the race to the bottom.

last year train more decided to almost DOUBLE the subscriptions - from 49 to 79 - because they said that want to improve everything. Now I don’t understand why in this gym, every week the sauna is out of order - more than 1 month to get it back to work - the lockers inside the changing room are all broken, and there is always some not working machine. I guess the improvements are only in the manager’s bank account yes I want to update my review: 6 months later and the sauna is STILL OUT OF WORK! lockers are always broken, changing rooms are freezing. BUT YEAH keep on raising the prices!

I used to love this gym. Tons of machines, space and diverse type of classes including good PTs. But it seems they just care about maximizing profit by providing the worst service. First they scrapped all classes which many of us enjoyed without asking all the costumers, machines take ages to be repaired (example the air bike was there broken for what, half a year At least?) Best PTs left, showers that do not work here and there, then the sauna does not function, and the last one most of the second floor cannot be used due to noise complaints. I will find another gym that provides value for money.

Good gym with plenty facilities in great location. Some things can be improved like sauna which is broken most of the time. Also, lockers seem to be blocked more often than expected.

The basic product therefore has little to criticize about all devices and the environment in which they are located. But everything around it, contract management and finances are a big chaos. Furthermore, it seems to be a problem for the "customer service" to simply communicate in Dutch.

I have been training here since . 2011... it wasn't Trainmore yet. The service was impeccable! But then a few years ago, Trainmore took over and customer service just plummeted right away into the abyss! No one is available, except perhaps by messenger. Certainly not by email or telephone... it is policy. They just don't want to talk to customers. Big bigger Biggest. Expensive, more expensive, most expensive. The more expensive the better... ....for the shareholders! Customers can get lost, I get it now. Maximum fitness experience, don't make me laugh! And also, to top it off, to provide that "Maximum fitness experience " they raise the membership by 40%...

Gym is fine. HOWEVER, they ripped me off two times. this by, not saying anything and keeping all the extra's open on my subscription. after that also letting me pay more then I should have.

It is a big gym, with lots of modern machines. But they stopped giving all the popular lessons. Claiming that the clients wanted that, without ever consulting the clients.

Club seems more closed than open. Sauna area closed off in large part because it causes a nuisance. I think most members come for sports and relaxation. Sauna is part of relaxing. TrainMore should not be surprised if many members switch to Sportcity or other sports clubs where sport and relaxation are still central. It's not just this location that is declining, but many more TrainMore locations. Customer service is also almost to barely accessible.

Whoever reads here thinking about sing-up. Please don’t. Worts decision we ever made with my wife to sign-up this club. They were closed during corona and we still paid, they promised compensation, they did not. If you want to cancel, you have to deal with worst customer service ever, you can not call, only via mail. They answer super late, not helpful at all. I sent 8 cancellation email, they ignored and now demanding 120 euro via legal agency and threating us.

I had an incredible experience. The staff are very friendly and helpful and all the equipment is state of the art. At peak morning times you don’t have to wait for equipment. Very clean and overall vibe of the place is very friendly/professional. Also, there is also a state of the art sauna that is very clean/gets very hot. I will absolutely be back. A fraudulent, not at all customer-friendly company! I moved abroad, so I wanted to cancel my membership by following their rules and I had provided proof of my move. Apparently, this is impossible. They did not even reply, in fact they wanted to collect the next membership fee and then sent me several payment reminders. Finally they hired a debt collection company and sent me extra charges. You'd better stay far away from them!

I am a member of TrainMore for multiple years already and have always been happy with the gyms. However, I started having serious concerns regarding their customer loyalty. My bank did decline the membership payment without me noticing. I received an email from the gym where they automatically added 40 Euros debt collection costs, although they did not hire a debt collector yet and the email that they sent was automatic. To be frank, its their right to do so and they make use of it. I reached out for clarification and also requested to waive the 40 Euros collection costs, since this was the first time happing which was ignored multiple times by the customer service. I ended up paying the full amount - but will cancel my membership now. For me it is not about the money - I also acknowledge that its my responsibility to pay for my membership, which I always did on time. My bank confirmed that it got declined by accident. But they seem to use every opportunity to max out the price that they charge unable to be flexible and understanding. For me, it's more about the way that you are treated as a loyal member, even keep supporting them during the hard corona times without cancelling the membership. As I said, I liked being a member. However, expect them to be after your money in case there is something happening outside of your control, which for me personally is a red flag.

Highly not recommended. Save your money and search for another place

Over the past few months, my experience has been consistently marred by the recurrent malfunctioning of equipment. It's disheartening that almost every week, I encounter 2-3 machines that are out of order, and the wait time for repairs typically stretches to an inconvenient two weeks. Furthermore, the recent closure of the sauna without any communicated timeline for its restoration has added to the frustration. The lack of updates leaves members like myself in the dark, uncertain about when we can expect its functionality to be reinstated. Additionally, the state of the showers is far from satisfactory, with hygiene being a glaring concern.

The club is great. I really enjoyed going there. Initially the company’s policy was fine but has now changed to being impersonal and being sharp. I am changing clubs, and recommend that anybody who does not care for a rip-off attitude do the same.

Just started working out and had the opportunity to buy a package for six personal training sessions. I was trained by Alejandro, super friendly, very knowledgeable and clear in his explanations. I can now do a workout properly, I feel more confident and very motivated to reach my goals thanks to him. Highly recommend!

Train More Piet Heinkade is a fantastic gym with excellent machines/equipment and a great atmosphere. The opening times are pretty comprehensive, so I can always find time to go, even with my busy routine. In addition, some employees (but not all of them) are friendly and are always willing to help, especially Yasmin, that is always in an excellent mood with a big smile.

TrainMore is always organized, neat, and well equipped. This branch is more or less same as others, except one tiny detail that there's no sinks in the toilets to wash your hands afterwards. I think this is dangerous especially nowadays with all this coronavirus pandemic. Apart from that, all went well.

Gym is a bit dark but far nicer equipment and setup since its train more. Staff changes a bit but many are nice. Only down side is really the admin. Every time they try to steal some money from you in unprofessional ways and it's a lot of work to fix it... This only makes it 3 stars at best... Pity

I have used this gym when travelling to Amsterdam. It’s got an amazing sauna, brand new machines and a really nice layout. Day passes are good value too and the staff are awesome. Highly recommended

I can highly recommend this club, the staff is really friendly, the gym is always clean and they have a room with Yoga and pilates classes that I really enjoy. I come here very often and like to stay for a coffee after the workout if I have time.

I like the gym a lot, the space is well used, lots of machines. I just don't like the light, it's too dark. dark environment is tiring, especially for a gym. Also I guess that some people should put the weights back after using the machines, it's sometimes annoying and often difficult to have to carry kilos and kilos from some selfish person. Jan 2020 Trainmore Veemkade is still under construction but you can see the potential. Happy to continue my practice in the gym with a top arm-wrestling coach and team.

Beautiful gym with everything you need. Enough equipment; you rarely have to wait. They always play nice techno music and there are multiple rooms for classes, yoga, boxing etc. There is a sauna too, but they often forget to turn it on! -1 star for that. All in all, I enjoy coming here everyday!

If you’re searching for the best fitness of Amsterdam, don’t search anymore, here it is ! We went to this fitness because we were on vacation and our hotel was near it. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The gym is pretty big and the machines are modern and easy to use. There are plenty of machines to work every part of your body (mostly 2 same machines so you don’t have to wait for another person to finish his training). We recommend this fitness a 100%!

Can get busy at times, and the layout it's not the best. Still good gym!

Great gym with substantial space (2 floors) that includes pretty much everything most people would want: free weights, cable machines, squat racks, and even a calisthenics/functional training area. The crew is welcoming and always ready to help and there are several possible membership options, which all include free coffee. To register in the most seamless way possible and in just a few seconds, make sure you ask for Ms. Maree who take care of everything you need.

I used to really like this gym. The staff is friendly. Since the past year, it has been in decline and below are a few points. - 7:00 is too late to open for charging a premium price. - The sauna does not work and has not for 6 months • Many broken machines • Upstairs is mostly closed because of noise levels • Electricity does not turn on in the morning • Prices keep going up by 20 percent or more • Way overpriced for what you get compared to other gyms • AC and heat do not work

I've been a member of this gym for five years now, back when it was known as New York. Having traveled and experienced gyms abroad, I can say this one isn't the worst. But..it could be better, especially if you keep raising the prices not improving service. The staff is friendly (even though it changes often), the equipment is enough and relatively new, which is a plus. Also, I train early in the morning so I have plenty of space and machines. However, since TM acquired it, there's been a noticeable decline in management's dedication to providing a good experience. Which is a shame because the gym is nice and has very good potential. The new sauna they installed? It's been out of order for months, with promises of restoration starting to sound like a joke. Maintenance issues like soundproofing, hot water problems, broken lockers and malfunctioning turnstiles are frequent. Course offerings have dwindled, and most communications from management seem to be about price hikes and new fees. In addition whenever you ask the direction some favor like to freeze your membership or so, they start making stories. You CLEARLY notice that they're really trying to squeeze every cent out of us and this does not give a good impression. I'm fortunate because my subscription rate hasn't skyrocketed like others, but they raised it too and the service lacking. Only three out of six showers actually work, and access to other gyms in the chain isn't included in my discounted membership, so I can go only there. I stick around mainly because of convenience and cost, but if I were paying full price, I'd seriously reconsider.

Lovely gym! Made sure I had a nice glute workout - had all the equipment needed for someone who’s advanced at the gym. Came by when on holiday, and the staff were very nice and helpful. Definitely would recommend a visit if you’re in Amsterdam!
