Fun food tour to discover the local specialties of the Netherlands! Benardo was our guide and you can tell that he really loves what he does! He is local to Amsterdam and knows the city well. We discovered places that we wouldn't have visited otherwise during our trip! I really enjoyed tasting the different products (for free!). Be sure to tip your guide because this is how they get paid for their work! I also appreciated the tips that Benardo gave us of his favorite places in the confirmation email that we received, as well as the fact that he kindly printed out a list of all of the locations that we visited. Thanks for the great tour, Benardo!

I got on the tours with Paul in the afternoon and Stan in the evening. Both are so good!! They explain all the interesting things and take you walk safely around Amsterdam. The tours are very good. Both also share tips and some interesting restaurants. I’d recommend this tour to all my friends for sure.

What a great tour! Otto was welcoming, funny and it really felt like he was taking us on a personal and unique tour of Amsterdam. His stories were delivered with enthusiasm and you can tell he loves the city he lives in. Sampling a taste of local stroopwafel and learning all about Amsterdam's history and interesting hideaways, I can't recommend it enough! Thank you again Otto for a great highlight on our trip!

For my first walking tour ever (15/08/23) I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Misaël was an amazing tour guide, answering all our questions in the best ways imaginable. He managed to make the tour informative, hilarious and interesting all at the same time and I would definitely recommend the free walking tour to anyone visiting Amsterdam who wants to be entertained while learning all the best parts of the city!!! I would give it 100 stars if I could but unfortunately I can only give 5!!!

This tour was awesome! A wonderful way to learn about Amsterdam’s and Dutch history, while also seeing highlights of the city. Our tour guide, Jacob, was really knowledgeable, answered all questions, and gave nuance to the Netherlands’ complex history. 100% recommend! Thank you Jacob for your time and for sharing your knowledge!

Our guide Craig's Free Walking Tour Amsterdam was fantastic. He met us on time and was ready to go, his friendly layed back demeanor put everyone at ease. The tour itself struck the perfect balance between historical knowledge, current experience, and personal perspective. It wasn't just about hearing dates or memorized facts regurgitated back verbatim - rather there were interesting stories shared alongside amusing anecdotes which really helped us understand the Amsterdam mindset. It was a perfect way to start our vacation in the Netherlands

I have done this tour 3 times now and Katya was by far the best. I have learned something new every time I come and I love it more and more. Katya had amazing facts, kept everyone entertained. She deserves a raise. If I could I would give her 100 stars. Will definitely be back again and hope to get Katya again. Tip your guides! They do an amazing job

Wow, Marius is incredible! We had the pleasure of joining him on two tours, the Classic Tour and The Food Tour. Both tours were amazing. Marius told great stories and was so considerate of everyone in the tour and those around us during the tour. He really knew so much about Amsterdam; we felt we knew a lot more about this wonderful city after being on his tours. We loved both yours but have to say the food tour was not only great- it was yummy as well! If we ever get to return to Amsterdam, we will definitely try to get another tour with Marius as we feel we have a have a wonderful new friend! I highly recommend Marius!

Great Tour with Sem trough Amsterdam. A lot of interesting facts about Amsterdam and its history.. well and other topics! Enjoyed! (Just don't search for a tall guy if he's your guide! Well and look for a mostly white umbrella. 😉)

Sem was the best tour guide I've had out of the three FW tours I had in Amsterdam! He led the Darkside Tour and it made the strong introduction to the city when I just had landed in Amsterdam. Very knowledgable, humourous and encouraging! I highly recommend him. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had a food tour provided by Benardo and it was very educational as well. Thank you for the little samplers of different kinds of Dutch food plus the drinks! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unfortunately, the Alternative tour with Otto was pretty disappointing since it did not cover most of the highlights mentioned in the description (Anne Frank House, Jordaan district, street arts). It's possible he skipped most of the stops due to the poor weather we had, however, I wish it had been well communicated to the group had that been the case. I wasn't alone on this since other people in the group felt the same, said that it didn't turn out as expected. Regardless I want to give him the benefit of the doubt. He seemed knowledgeable, was willing to answer a lot of questions and provided good insights as to how Amsterdam became the city it is now in the modern era. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

We did the classic walking tour with Marius and enjoyed it so much we signed up for the food tour with Marius the next day! He was a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable and very funny. We all really enjoyed both tours. It made our visit to Amsterdam very memorable. We saw the city through a different perspective and noticed things we would have not seen otherwise. The 2 hours flew by and Marius slightly went the extra mile for us all. Thank you so much Marius we really appreciated your time, expertise and humour.

Incredible Classic tour by Sasha. We got such a good overview of Amsterdam’s culture and history in two hours. The size of the group was good as well. Our guide had a great sense of humour and also answered any questions we had. He even shared some stroopwafels with us. Overall really wonderful experience and would love to try the alternative tour another time.

Thank you Kataya for a wonderful introduction to Amsterdam. This was the first thing we did since arriving - we hadn’t even checked into our hotel room!! But we loved finding out the history and origins of this beautiful city and despite it being a very short stay here, we will leave with lots of interesting knowledge.

My favorite thing to do, the first time I visit a city, I’d go on a free walking tour. Great way to get a lay of the land, get recommendations and learn a little about the place I’m visiting. Amsterdam’s did not disappoint. Karl did an amazing job. He was knowledge and funny, and really brought the city to life. He said his goal was to convince us Amsterdam is one of the greatest cities in the world… and honestly, we were sold. Would highly recommend this tour, specially if you’re lucky enough to have Karl as your guide.

Nadine was super sweet. Great paced tour starting at Dam Square. Easy to find her and off we went. Lots of stops and loads of info on the neighborhoods, the canals, the buildings, the politics, right suggestions for places to eat, places to shop, and loads of other in the shade. She was fantastic, had a great time, we had a really nice group. Great to take a morning tour because it gets really hot around noon. We are finishing up a two hour tour and it is 80° already. have fun, great walking, and a lovely tour guide

Ask for Katya! She’s best tour guide in Amsterdam. A local who knows everything about the city and loves to answer questions along the way. Fantastic personality, very knowledgeable and fun! One of the highlights of my Amsterdam trip! I learned so much about the city and was able to explore lots of areas within a short amount of time. The tour guide was very informative and has great humor too 😂 the name is legit, they're an absolutely free tour but tips are welcome. I highly recommend them to anyone who has around an hour to spare and want to get to know the city more. Will try the dark side tour next time i visit 💗

Such a great time. Though I was abandoned by my husband - I am so glad I ventured alone on this general city tour. Starting at the Dam Square with its significant history to Amsterdam, it just got better and better. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Amsterdam. And..Tip your guide, this is how they make their wages.

Enjoyed the walking tour of Amsterdam. Our tour was 2 hours of history, fun and walking along with interesting bits of The Netherlands history. My partner and I learned many new spots to explore by walking past during our tour and noticed some different vegan restaurants that we had not tried. Fun tour.

The free walking tours are the best way to get around in a new city and get to learn some interesting- funny , scary, lesser known stories about the place! Stan was the guide of our small group of 14 and we had a lovely time exploring the old town of Amsterdam under his guidance. He gave a lot of time to take us around the planned part of the classic tour and made sure everyone was comfortable and having fun. If you have limited time, and want to get around knowing a new city , free walking tours are the best way! The tours are tip based and some additional small amount is charged as tax. The payments accepted were in cash / card. Book yourself 2 hours of exploring by foot, you won't regret! Do check the weather and carry appropriate gear accordingly!

Very nice guy! We did the food tour with Marius, we visited a lot of cool places and all of them had a pinch of history. From cheese to stroopwafel, we had it all, and Marius always made sure that were having a good time and getting all the nice histories from each place. We highly recommend it, it’s the best way the meet the city.

Had a great tour with Marius today on a food walking tour of Amsterdam. It was great to be introduced to and to taste some of the traditional foods of Amsterdam and the Netherlands. Marius was really fun to chat to, everything from investment opportunities, furniture recovery, antique dealing, religious history and of course food, are all topics he has a wealth of information about! Great day, thank you!

Windy was a great tour guide and knew a lot about the weird things in Amsterdam. A perfect tour for getting the feel for the city! He’s been studying History for 11 years. Not a boring tour at all. He’s very animated and would answer any questions you had along the way. You won’t be disappointed.

We have done 3 tours (so far) with this organization and all have been great! Highly recommend! Classic tour with Tim. He did a great job on a hot sunny day and was able to talk about the history of this city (even commenting on its not so finest moments) and keep us in the shade!! Dark Side with Stan: what a great story teller! So much more than the traditional ghost tour, this tour also has a lot of history (the dark kind!) Note it is only offered Friday, Saturday, Sunday so plan it into your schedule! Food Tour with Sem on July 25, 2022 .... Best Food Tour Ever!!! It was the personal stories from his Dutch life connected to the food that made this special! He was extremely humorous and made this tour especially fun for us. If you are easily offended, probably not the tour for you. Recommendation for Walking Tours, allow an option to schedule a custom private tour with your guides through the website.

We had wonderful walking tour with Stan all around central Amsterdam! He showed us various aspects of the city and told us the history behind them, from the leaning houses to the canal boats and the little coloured carvings above some of the doors. Stan's English was great, he was very easy to understand and he spoke clearly, plus he had several pictures/diagrams/maps to illustrate what he was telling us. Felt like a live history lesson from a local person who was clearly passionate about his city. Would recommend and appreciated his recommendations at the end.
