This is the place to be if you are into the adventures of escape rooms! As a family, we scheduled all 3 of their rooms on one day and while it was mentally challenging, each game was fantastic and totally worth the investment and time. The rooms are spectacular, complex, linear and automated. All game masters were superb from the moment you step into the building to exiting it. We solved all 3 rooms and had a blast! Your escape journey is not complete if you don’t go to Amsterdam and you don’t get to do at least one of the rooms! We came at the recommendation it was best in the world—7 countries and 50 escape rooms later, we agree! #3/3 ✅

This is absolutely amazing, a masterpiece! What an amazing experience! Thoughtful, exciting, fun, and lot of Eureka moments. Nicely instructed too, well as much as needed. You have to escape on your own in 90 minutes. Whether you are a tourist in Amsterdam or want a corporate team outing, this should absolutely be on your list. 💯 stars, loved it.🤩

"Are you here for the ritual?" Our welcome was in-character, and never once did the guy from Sherlocked break character. He pulled us into the story and happening immediately, and that made it all the more mysterious and exciting. We got taken through a random door and after walking the stairs, we were left up to our own devices. This was for The Alchemist and set a new standard for escape rooms. Amazing experience, amazing staff. Highly recommend, even if the theme of The Alchemist doesn't appeal to you, you can pick one of their other experiences. Make sure to bring a smart group of friends/family :)

'Film magic' beautiful! We were able to play the award winning room 'The Alchemist' and what a special experience. Everything has been worked out in detail, thought through and developed to a high standard. You can see that every piece of furniture has been handcrafted for this room and that makes the experience like being in a movie set. Highly recommended for escape room players.

Made me fall in love with escape rooms all over again. I did The Alchemist with a group of three. That was one of the best designed escape rooms I have ever done, hands down. There are certain moments and surprises that totally immerse you into the mission and the various tasks at hand. Staff were engaged in the story and remained in character at all times during the puzzle. Due to a late start of our own fault, there was a timely placed clue at one point by the staff that unblocked our progress (but we did the rest on our own 😎). You don't have to be some genius to figure it out, but it does take patience and focus. The ending was fantastic! I am honestly so impressed with The Alchemist. Some of my colleagues turned down our evening plan due to mediocre escape rooms in the past, but this was so beyond expectation. They missed out! A great team activity to do together in Amsterdam that requires creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking under some pressure!

Our host, Teresa, was clear, helpful, and allowed us to be challenged. Really, she is the perfect host! The mission for the escape room was clearly stated and the escape room itself flowed so well. What was additionally of high quality in this room is that it was so technical. This escape room is out of this world cool. So many little things you wouldn’t expect from a normal escape room. Highly, highly recommend. We could not stop talking about how cool this room was.

The Alchemist escape room is simply amazing. From the moment you step in, you're transported into a magical world where every little detail adds to the overall experience. It's hands down the best escape room I've ever tried. The room design is like a work of art, blending mystery and fantasy seamlessly. The puzzles aren't just challenges; they're part of a exhilarating story. It feels like you're on a journey, with every object and symbol leading you to unravel a captivating mystery. The puzzles are just right – not too hard, not too easy. They're creative and diverse, so everyone in the team can get involved. Teamwork is key, and each puzzle contributes to the bigger picture. The creators really went all out to make sure you have a memorable experience. The atmosphere, sound effects, and visuals all work together to make you feel like you're in a different world. It's not just about getting out of a room; it's about going on a magical adventure.

What a fantastic experience. Both the host and the communication in advance are completely in line with the theme of the room. A great assignment where teamwork is a must.

The Alchemist escape room was one of the best escape rooms I've ever experienced. The attention to detail, the intricate and VERY unique puzzles, the bespoke "set design", and the intelligent mix of technology was remarkable. I have done many escape rooms all over the world and this one was so unique. I felt that I was able to lose myself in the game and that the puzzles were challenging but not impossible. The experience was multisensory, another aspect that I've rarely experienced in an escape room. This is a gem!

What a treat! This was my first time trying an escape room, and I started off with one of the best. It felt like I was in a movie with the storyline, sounds and special effects. I was glad to be with a group of seasoned escape room players, as some of the puzzles were quite challenging.

Wow! Excitement and a continuous state of amazement. The Alchemist escape room is created with so much love and passion that authenticity radiates from it. From the very first moment, you find yourself in a movie. The puzzles and games are very original and definitely not the standard code with a lock experience. You enter a completely different world and a captivating story. Without giving away too many spoilers, you are truly taken on an adventure and go through the steps in your own order. Truly a unique experience that you, as an escape room enthusiast, really MUST experience. After this, many other escape rooms may disappoint you. Well done Sherlocked!

The escape rooms hosted here are incredible. They’re an almost guaranteed way to make a memory. My partner and I have done two of the rooms, and both times, the hosts were very professional and convincing with their parts in the stories. The puzzles are challenging but not impossible, and incredibly rewarding. I can wholeheartedly recommend this.

Amazing experience. We did The Vault as a group of 6 and loved the journey that it takes you into, from right before you start until the very end. It was very unique, great setting and with a lot of little and smart details that will make you think and keep you on your toes. Can't wait to do their next one.

10/10 recommend if you live near/are travelling to Amsterdam. They had offered 2 different escape rooms (The Vault and The Architect) to which we chose to do the vault. It was absolutely one of the funnest things we have done. We had to race the clock and use logical thinking to solve the puzzle rather than just a simple “the code is hidden on the back of the door” scenario. Guido one of their employees was also incredible such an enthusiastic and passionate person. We didn’t complete the vault in time so he was kind enough to take us through the last few pieces of the puzzle. This truly was bang for your buck and I highly recommend.

Super Escape Room with very motivated and professional staff. We, 4 people, played the room "The Vault" and are absolutely thrilled - We were in another world for about 80 minutes. Very well designed concept from start to finish: Great spaces - super story line - very good level of the riddles! The next time we visit Amsterdam, we will definitely play the second room.

An absolute must! We've done both rooms and both were excellent. But The Vault was next level! SOOO much fun and excitement. And well organized. We've done a lot of escape rooms but nothing like this. Our group of 7 included an 8 year old as well as 2 x 16 year olds and everyone enjoyed it.

There were 3 of us, for the two of us it was our first ever escape room experience. For the other it was her 20th escape room! But nonetheless we all REALLY REALLY ENJOYED the whole thing! It was fun, complicated (not too much), spooky and exciting! The girl who was our guide was good at her job, very friendly, cooperative and kind! We will definitely visit the other room(s) as well! 10 out of 10 🧡

We did the Vault. It was an amazing escape game, especially because we did manage to escape! Now I want to try the other options too! I highly recommend it if you want an adventurous fun evening.

Played The Architect and The Vault, both rooms were so nice to play! The Architect is easier so play that one first. Both rooms had very original puzzle elements and I really liked the logic behind the puzzles. Not 1 moment that I thought 'well that is a bit far fetched'. Everything makes good sense and the vibe in the old building adds to the story. I would definitely recommend going here!!

Simply magical! I ended up at Sherlocked when invited by friends. I didn’t quite know what to expect, and I was absolutely blown away by the artistry, game design, creativity, and overall amazingness of this experience. It’s one of the more memorable experiences I’ve had in a long time and I’d highly recommend you go, whether you’re visiting town, like me, or a local. It was so good to feel so much wonder and awe!

We played "The Alchemist" today and it was absolutely amazing!!! The best escape the room we have ever played, and we played many around the globe. Before we booked, we read on their website that the room took 3 years to design and build and while ar first I wasn't sure why it would take that long, once you're playing it, you get it. It is absolutely incredible. The game design is perfect, the mechanics (and I do mean hard-core, engineered mechanics involved in turning the random physical space into a story-telling instrument with lights and gear) are perfect and the narrative is perfect. We are leaving Amsterdam soon otherwise we would definitely try their other games. Five stars!! Best ever.

A MUST DO experience The Alchemist was my first ever escape game, and it’s putting the level very high. I had so much fun that I totally lost track of time. I loved every inches of the experience: the storyline, the marvelous set design, all of the challenges were super playful and intriguing with a sparkle of magic wonder. For the fans of Harry Potter, you shall go!

Playing their new escape room "The Alchemist" was a great experience. The difficulty of the puzzles builds up in a challenging, but still enjoyable way. Also, the puzzles are well thought through, all suiting the story nicely, and they are of good quality. Lastly, the staff's acting, from start to finish and without breaking character, the atmosphere of the escape room, and storytelling are amazing, creating very good immersion. I would certainly recommend it.

The place is great. All the mechanical instruments are so cool, the puzzles are well designed that it's both challenging and solvable.The story itself is also fascinating. Very immersive!

Both escape rooms that I was able to enjoy were very nice. Starting off with the architect there were some nice good puzzles and the room did have some moments of surprises which were impressively done. Continuing our way later with The Vault this one was the one where the immersion was very high and well done. The way we were handled by the staff was very well done and big compliments! Made the whole experience that much more impressive. Overall where the puzzles doable and enjoyable. Sometimes here and there a pickup with locks which could also have been on our side but it didn't put the experience to shame. I would recommend it if you like good mystery/adventure rooms!

As a complete noob in the world of escape rooms, The Alchemist was a fantastic first time! Upon arrival at location we were picked up by the host who welcomed us and explained the escape room completely in role. Once we had put away our things, the adventure could begin. The puzzles were challenging and arranged in a very original and smart way. The decor and setting were completely in keeping with the story and ensured that you were completely drawn into that world. The end of the escape room felt like a real denouement and was very spectacular! The only downside I have is that it was sometimes difficult for me to understand the host because of the way he spoke and I regretted that he walked into the room quite soon afterwards. Overall highly recommended for anyone who has never done an escape room but likes puzzles. Or just for experienced escape room players who love a real experience!
