I received assistance in this easy to find Information Centre; the Staff is kind and helpful, speaking excellent English and other languages, too. We got information and bus tickets, which helped us to save time and money. I advice to all travellers to first thing drop there instead of losing time trying to understand what to do and how to move.

You can get lots of information and buy tickets here. There are also lots of bicycles just a few steps away from the information. I was scared by those bicycles, too many bicycle stacked together! The first time to see so many bicycles...

It was a great location for exploring downtown Amsterdam. I took a taxi and walked around the streets from here, seeing a lot of things. No matter where I took pictures, it was like a painting and there were a lot of things to see and enjoy, so it was fun.

Communication not desired - absolutely unprofessional City tax is outrageously expensive at 80 euros for our stay without anything in return. Plus great people, beautiful canals/buildings/plants with expensive food, mediocre hotel... There is a lot to see and there are no longer any corona regulations here. But, once is enough.

The Visitor Centre has an iamsterdam card that is worth it's weight in gold! Covers trams and busses as well as museums and attractions. You can buy in advance, then deploy in the city. Must use this card. Excellent! Especially, the bus to and from Schipol!

It is a historical place, with beautiful buildings, squares and bridges. In their rivers you can go on boat trips and they are very friendly. There are restaurants of different categories an excellent gastronomy. Many tourists visit this area there is a presence of police watching that everything is in order and help the tourists.

Not open 24/7 like they state it is. They say that you should go to iamsterdam store in central station, but that is only open from 10.00 o clock.

In front of Amsterdam central station...a prefect welcome place to visitors

It’s an understatement to call it a tourist office. “Visitor Center” means a place that is intended to welcome tourists in order to cash them in like a cash cow! 🤑 A map of the city? €2.50 - for a plan full of ads that is self-financing. No relevant information except banalities on the main hotspots of mass tourism. As soon as you want to find out a little to get off the beaten track, the only advice: “don’t come to Amsterdam”. Well received!

They speak mostly good english and the guide-map is quite handy. Oder the map you get all the basic informations about the attractions. The value of the card is there, if you Plan to visit multiple places, otherwise its just confortable to have all-in-one. Timeslots has to be booked on the Individual Websites, tho. The Souvenirs from the Shop are in comparison to other vendors really fair prized.

If anyone is planning a trip to Amsterdam, I surely recommend buying an I am Amsterdam card. You will get discounts, free entry, and free travel. When you collect your card from the centre the lovely staff will provide you with a map of all the city attractions and advise you what is best. 👌🏾 So I suggest starting early in the day and working around the attractions you would like to see 👌🏾

I've read recent reviews and I understand their complaints. Fortunately, for me, I did not have the same experience. I was told the pros/cons of purchasing an IAmsterdam card and made my decision when I was ready. I went back to the store on multiple occasions and every visit was informative. If you plan accordingly, this card can save 100% of the cost. I must have visited over 15 museums in the course of 72 hrs, free public trans, free canal cruise and free bike rental. Renting a bike in Amsterdam can be expensive. Out of all the benefits, the bike ride was the best. Biking through Amsterdam is a rush. I had to setup my bluetooth earbuds with Google Maps to navigate the city. Overall, this is a must for first-time visitors to the city.

I will only say it's OK. We had problems with our cards and it took a long time to get the problem sorted. It wasn't enough that the employees wanted to see my email proving I bought a card, but also my bank account showing the transaction took place. I will say they were very nice and respectful though. I'm hopeful the issue i faced was rare. Getting around on bike truly is the way to go, and the bike rental company was super friendly. I only got around to using about 90% of the card's value though, because there's only so much time in a day. I think the 2 day pass would be easier to get the full value because day 1 is all about learning your way around the city and what to do, day 2 is where you could really attack your activities and get the full value. Also note that the hop on hop off buses only run on the weekends, their website doesn't clearly disclose that.

Helpful staff make the customer feel informed. Easy to find outside Amsterdam Central station

They don't report anything. They ask if you want a brochure or map (which charges and does not indicate points of interest). Also without information in Spanish.

Great return... a clean city, and breathtakingly beautiful at times! Some houses are crooked due to their advanced age and yet still standing! I really recommend going to visit it even though we were out of season!

The ladies and gentlemen on site are helpful and friendly. The service in and of itself is good. The staff do their best to help. However, this one time I needed it, I had a bad experience with the staff's directions.

nice meeting place, especially since the station is packed and hard to find a proper meeting place for tourists/guests. doesnt seem to offer much "free" information, and seems to be catering for those who can afford tours/packages/materials/souvenirs.
