Wat een verassing als je hier binnen komt. Prachtige orgels en je kunt nog iets eten of drinken. Vriendelijk en mensen met een passie voor oude draaiorgels.

Must see unique experience if you're in Haarlem or the surrounding area. This small museum is run by super nice and enthusiastic volunteers and only opened on Sundays. There are lots of various sized barrel organs to check out and the folks there are happy to explain their history and how they work. We got to hear all the organs and it was fun to see and learn how the music for the organs is made and played. There is a small concession stand selling beer, wine, and soft drinks along with sausages and snacks. The museum is in a business/industrial area, but there was parking there and in front of the other closed businesses and a big sign over the door. Overall, a fun way to spend an hour or two on a Sunday.

I am not into draaiorgels but this was a unique experience. Well preserved machines in a private collection. If you are able to enjoy things outside of your comfort zone, go here on a sunday!

(Translated by Google) Super fun to watch all kinds of turning organs, which are normally seen on the street, but due to the automation of society, they quietly disappear from the street ... They are also open to large groups of people who (25 people) independently consume useful (WELL I / O & reservation in advance NATURALLY!)

My wife and I visited this museum yesterday. Spent a great hour and a half looking at and listening to these wonderfully preserved machines which are a credit to the friendly, helpful enthusiasts who run the museum . The museum is about a 30 minute walk from the centre of Haarlem and entry is free. Definitely worth a visit. Our special thanks to Louis for being so helpful and friendly and making our visit so memorable.

This is a free attraction run by committed volunteers, open only Sunday afternoons. There is a different guest organ every Sunday. Kind of must see, if you find this part of the Dutch cultural heritage interesting. Obviously a bit loud, so you won't want to stay for the whole afternoon, but the cheap drinks will help. Great job by the organizers.

A hall full of music: While barrel organs are not always appreciated on the street, they come into their own here in Haarlem. A collection of organs whose history goes back up to 100 years, and which are also excellently maintained. This way you hear and see the barrel organ not only as traditional street and fair music with a "beautiful front", but above all as a branch of craftsmanship, the mechanical wonder that lies behind that front, which you can listen to for hours thanks to the efforts of enthusiastic volunteers, with enough central space to sit and enjoy a drink and a snack.
