This is an excellent safari park with the opportunity to get close to animals both in the car and on foot. There is a boat tour and many playgrounds to entertain children. We stayed for an afternoon but could easily have filled a full day here.

This resort is 2 thumps up. The scenery is wonderful. We stayed at the lion's area. So basically our backyard was all lion's. It was an amazing experience. My kids enjoyed it so much. Every other day, they feed the lion's at 9:45am in the morning. If I come back, I'm staying again with the lion's. The lion's roar is so powerful and beautiful.

But also the exist from the park with the car was disappointing because it was another standstill! The boat and the busy lines are what keeps this reviewer to give a full 5 stars! Outstanding. This safari park covers a large area and harbors many animals. The animals have large amounts of space - you can’t possibly compare that to any other regular zoo out there. There’s also quite a few young animals, which you might not always see at first, but if you do it is always a beautiful sight, since it indicates how at home they feel here. There are a lot of great animals to see here. One of my personal favorites were the ring-tailed lemurs. They roam completely free in their territory with no fences whatsoever. Fascinatingly, they are not shy or scared at all - in fact, they will walk onto the path all by themselves and happily let you come closer to observe them. A very unique experience. The boat-safari gets you from one end of the park to the other within about 30 minutes, while also providing a small tour at the same time. You may see a few animals near the water, however, most of them will likely be pretty far away and you might not see much. There’s no guarantee. The park offers multiple opportunities to get food, drinks, and all sorts of snacks. This includes restaurants and also small food stands. Most of it is quite expensive, so you might want to bring some things yourself too. Overall, this might be the greatest animal park I have ever been to, and I can only recommend it. It is a wonderful, unforgettable experience and I had a really good time. The visit is definitely worth it.

Place for a day out with kids. Jungle safari ride , or walk both are equally interesting . Plenty of parking space. Several food and snack options are available. Light safari festival was lovely experience. Although the crowd was not managed properly , too crowded and a walking route of 20mins took more than 2hrs due to crowd.

Die linke Spur um zu parken und die Tiere zu beobachten und rechts um zu fahren. Die Tiere kommen teilweise sehr nah ans Auto. Wir haben in der Mitte dann geparkt um dort mit dem Boot die Safari zu entdecken. Und auch dies war wunderbar. Am anderen Ende ausgestiegen, zu Fuß den weg zurück und noch mehr Vielfalt entdeckt. Auch für die Kinder ist vieles zum Klettern zwischendrin. Am Parkplatz wieder angekommen, den Rest gefahren und Giraffen und Zebras aus direkter Nähe beobachtet. Wunderbarer Tag und tolle Anlage , gerade für Kinder empfehlenswert .

Es war einfach atemberaubend! Die Aussicht vom Hotelzimmer auf Giraffen, Zebras, Nashörner etc. unbeschreiblich !Der Park mit seiner weitläufigen Anlage und den Tieren großartig! Great spacious zoo/safari park which is ideal for a long walk. Plus side is that when you are tired of walking you can take the safari bus or boat back close to the entrance. Parking is not cheap, but also not overly expensive. Food is decent and on par with gas station prices. Park has a good variety of animals and is pretty well accessable.

We loved the Night Safari. It was beautiful and the prettiest lights we’ve seen. We came right at 5:00 on a Sunday night so it was busy. There are staff directing parking so that’s nice. I recommend coming later after 5:00 so it’s not so congested. When we left around 6:30, it wasn’t crowded at the gate at all. We walked through the whole thing in an hour. There are food and drink booths in the middle of the loop, and there is the Winterplein at the beginning/end with more food and drinks. We had warm waffles and hot dogs (not bratwurst) and it was decent. There were also frites and snacks booths.

Truly fantastic safari park, with lots and lots of land for the animals. We visited from Colchester in the Uk that has an amazing zoo so had high expectations, this didn’t fail. We did the walking tour, boat ride and car safari but could have easily spent longer here. My only slight disappointment (and it’s really not a huge deal) was I couldn’t find an ice cream anywhere. Well worth the money and a great day out.

This zoo for me was one of the best zoos I have seen so far. First of all the you could get a chance to see all the animals which you would see on the map. It was really exciting for kids to see them all. There are different options to explore it , by walk, by your vehicle, by the boat. Special attractions were, lion, tiger of different types. There are sufficient sitting areas to sit and eat and toilets. All area is wheel chair friendly and you also get a kid cart in case if you forget to bring.

We are 2 adults. We did the auto Safari and had a lovely time. Since the boat and walk safari covered the same area, we decided to skip those. It was dry when we visited but the animal pens were clearly still moist. You can't blame them for preferring staying indoors but that means you see a lot less animals. We had a "visit" of an elk and a zebra at our car which is of course a special experience. But if you don't have kids range 3-12 I wonder if the entrance fee of +- 30€ is really worth it. If you don't go to the playgrounds, you are quite done in about 2hrs. To fill a whole day would be quite a stretch. I think if you are really into the safari idea you better take a year card so you can come and see the animals at various seasons. IMHO this will give you more value for money. It is better to visit 4 times 3hrs than one full day seeing the same things over and over. Food & drink is sparse, fries and waffles mostly. Did I enjoy my visit? Absolutely. Would I recommend it for a day out for adults? No. Adults + kids? Maybe. Animal lovers with a year-round card? Yes (do bring your own packed lunch though (prices on scene are steep) but keep in mind they are very strict on leaving food behind, the animals get very specific diets. All in all? A niche attraction site, fully geared towards kids and animal lovers. End of the day? Nice afternoon out, we had tickets with compliments of my husband's employer, should I have had to cough up the entry fees I would have been disappointed (I understand that the animals require food and shelter but still...)

Wonderful place, and a magical experience for the kids. We spent four days here and could have stayed longer. We opted to stay in a house on the edge of one of the animal enclosures (lodge 411) and woke up each morning to a rhino outside our house! Having not done an African safari I do however think this is the next best thing, especially at half the price. There is so much to see and do, mixed together with the driving, walking and boat safaris, then you throw in the beach and lake resort and you can easily entertain yourself and the kids for a week or more. When booking our accommodation and tickets, you also get entry into lots of other local attractions, which we didn't even get a chance to do. I would say the only downside was the food. The restaurants were expensive and there weren't a lot of options. The best one to eat at if you do choose to eat out is at Hogan House, as the buffet was good. However the upside to each of the restaurants are the views of the animals, and the fact they have play parks for the kids (although there isn't really any play equipment for under three). In our lodge you did have a kitchen so you could easily self cater, as there are supermarkets a short drive away from the resort. I would 100% recommended this place to anyone who loves animals or wants a holiday with a bit of a twist. My only piece of advice would be to avoid trying to see the animals on a really hot day as they all hide in the shade. We did one walk on a scorching hot day and hardly saw any animals then the next day it rained and stormed in the morning, so by the afternoon it was much cooler and they were all out in force!

It is a very nice park. We did a bus safari. The bus driver was so enthusiastic. She told us nice stories about the park, the animals and it was really fun to listen to her. Then we did a preying bird safari. It was also a fascinating show. Those birds were so gracious to see. Besides, we walked through the park. It's beautiful. And animals do look happy there. But the cutest thing was to see the three little elephants. The smallest one was just three days old. Super cute! People working there are so friendly! We enjoyed this experience.

I went for an auto Safari with my family. I expected lot of different type animals and I could only see a few. May be I set a wrong expectations. Very nice zoo with regional and international animals. The newest addition is rhinoceros at the back of the park. With some playgrounds around the park it is perfectly possible to spend a big time of a day here without being bored. There are some stop areas where you can get snacks and drinks as well and the main restaurants have beer as well. Location is also easy to reach and has quite a large parking area.

The park is great. We did the walking Safari, which took us 6 hours by relaxing in between having lunch in one restaurant inside the park and some snacks on picnic benches. A small scale, lovely zoo, great choice for going out with smaller children. Morning is good time to visit, as bigger kids are at school, not busy. I let my kids run freely, as there were maybe 20 people/children in the zoo. In the zoo's, usually, they get cranky after the very first hour, as there are too many people, too much information. In BestZOO we stayed for 3.5h and they were still ok. Will definitly come back, and again in the morning hours.

However, during the day we would be entertained by friendly battles between rhinos and a parade of exotic animals only ten meters from our terrace. Corona measures were well in place at the Safari resort while the mini-market and other amenities remained open and the restaurant switched to (bike)delivery mode properly. Very friendly staff all around. In the park itself there is very little open (the app doesn’t always show this) so plan your visit strategically. One point for improvement: while the cottage was clean, the plates and cutlery weren’t. This may have to do with the combined policy that you have to 1) check out at 10am, and 2) that you cannot leave a running dishwasher, meaning that you have to wash up after breakfast by hand, because the dishwasher won’t make it in time.
