Very meaningful. Great place to visit and to recommend in These times where in Europe are raising again populist movements that are already taking us to dangerous decisions and acts.

It's so simple, but so beautifully done. I feel like a lot of these reviews didn't bother to read the sign explaining the art. It hit me in the heart immediately.

It's a shame that young people there spend their time smoking weed, I don't think it has to be there... But otherwise well done

This is a glass memorial that is a reminder of the loss of Jewish life during World War 2. Underneath the broken glass is a container with ashes of the victims. The chiselled words states: "never again Auschwitz." During the 90's the monument has heen vandalised mulitiple times but been restored again and again. To pay respect, visitors leave a stone on the memorial.

As stated in other reviews, the monument does indeed have a fragile air about it, full of cracks, holes, temporary fixes and muddy footsteps of people wanting to test the glass. It'stronger than it looks, not easy to damage, although over the years some three or four people certainly have made succesful attempts. There's some powerful symbolism there. Never again. Stones on top of the headstone testify of remembrance by the many. Cool monument.

Impactante obra en memoria de las víctimas de Auschwitz. En la placa de al lado explican un poco sobre el diseño del memorial: " It seemed as if it would be impossible to design a memorial for the site of the urn containing ashes of the victims murdered in Auschwitz concentration camp to be laid to rest in Dutch soil. How can you devise a form to mark a crime which you know in your heart will till be unforgiven when our planet ceases to exist two, or two thousand centuries from now? To attempt to find an image to reflect the ignominy and the suffering transcends the limits of your comprehension. When you look up at the sky it is impossible to imagine the same sun shining over that destruction as indifferently and peacefully as over a meadow filled with flowers. In a vision of justice the blue sky above you cracks apart as if the horrors that took place on earth below have desecrated eternity forever. That is what led me to place these broken mirrors on that small plot of ground above the urn. Here you will never again see the heavens reflected undesecrated. - Jan Wolkers - 1977 " Estaba un poco descuidado pero, siendo finales de Octubre, hay muchas lluvias y hojas cayendo.

Definitely something to see and reflect upon. Many people have been seen walking on the glass monument. There are no clear signs to designate areas. It is in a nice park.

Small memorial monument located in an « usual » parc. If you are around, why not pass by, but from my own perspective, it’s not a must-see

I didn't like it that much. Whole park in the dark. Souvenirs of Jews. Is it somehow not so nice?

Lucky area and by a canal. Nice place to come to get a break from the hustle of the center. Watch out for bird poo tho. I've been lucky enough to be dropped on twice.

It's unbelievable what happened back then. I honor every project that reminds every generation of that horrible doing of the 3rd Reich to teach them and show them how to deveolpe and evolve without wars or killing each other. RIP Concetration Camp victims.

Imaginative way to commemorate the Holocaust and Auschwitz by making you think a little.
