Please don't go here. Worst gamemaster ever. The game depends on communicating with the gamemaster, but he responded late to every text, wasting your time. Also, the whole storyline is in Dutch, while they clearly state the room is in English. Another weird thing happened with a key. The key was placed in a terrible spot, therefore the key fell and we had to look for it for like 10 min. We were left on our own, so 10 min were wasted and the game was over. The worker came in and blamed us for the key. I don't think I have ever seen such an unfriendly worker. He did not care a single bit and just walked away. We left the building and nobody was there to be seen. This was by far my worst escape room...

This is by far the worst place I’ve ever played a room in. And I played over 100 rooms… We tried first The chocolate factory which logic is really bad thought. We we’re really disappointed in the room. We decided to give it another try with the cabin in the woods. And nothing was better…. Some mechanisms were already opened when we entered the room, we managed to open a door to continue the game but our game master interrupted saying that this was not the time for us to open that door. She proceeded by entering the room and closing the door we just opened. When we brought up our discontent at the end of our game, the answer of the game master was « anyway you wouldn’t have gone out ». Sure, but it’s not the problem, the problem was the room not working at all and the logic behind it poorly thought. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone to play one of these two rooms.

I have booked the Chocolate Factory room for my son's birthday. He went with two other friends, all over 14 years. They were not permitted to enter the room we booked with the justification that it would be too hard for them to solve. The game master recommended another room that was very scary and they ended up traumatized and scared. During the game they asked the game master to stop the scary music but they were refused. Worst experience ever with an escape room. It ruined the birthday party. We were promised a 50% refund that we never got.

We did the golden ticket one and while decor was beautiful, and story good, we lost time because one of the jigsaw was not working properly in the second room… also usually in other rooms I’ve done, we receive a small something at the end… we were expecting some chocolate but nothing.. even the staff left and we were alone 😂

Thoroughly mediocre. Cabin in the woods. Not very original, not a great story, puzzles are mostly standard lock key code wood block stuff. There's at least a dozen places in Amsterdam with a much better experience. Several things malfunctioned. The operator on the phone didn't know what to do to fix it either, twice. Flimsy decor. The staff is very nice though, so 1 star extra for them. They offered 50% discount for next time because it was obviously malfunctioning several times, but why would we give money again for another mediocre experience with large chance of failure? Should have given half of the money back in the first place. Wouldn't have been worth it if everything worked as planned, should be half the price and catering for first timers or kids only. Been to a good escape room before? Then avoid this place.

Bad, The staff there was very unmotivated doing their job. There was communication needed to complete the game but the answers from the game leaders were too late so we lost time. You couldn’t solve the room without any help from the game leader. At the end, as we couldn’t solve the game, we were told to leave the room and we never saw the game leaders again. For that bad experience we had, it was way too expensive! If you want to have a nice time in a escape room, I would recommend another provider.

The chocolate factory is a bit too obscure and a couple fundamental the puzzles are not very well themed. For at least two there is no indication that you can interact with the object in the way you're supposed to, and you occasionally want to interact with something before you're able to (not rly positive or negative). Oh well at least you can ask for hints if you're stuck. Apparently all groups need hints. I've been told that the pirate/ship/sea themed one is apparently very well themed. Haven't done it myself though.

Wonderful experience! I did the battle room with cabin in the woods and the puzzles really had us confused in the beginning, so it was even more satisfying when we broke out in the end! The instructor (Stijn) also was very friendly and was definitely very experienced!

It was my first experience in the escape room in the Netherlands and I was impressed with all the details of the escape room (we visited The Midnight Magic) and the friendliness of personnel. The only downside is that when the hour is over it doesn’t matter where you are in the room, you have to leave without solving everything (that wasn’t the case in my home country). Definitely recommend to visit!

Third escaperoom we did here. Loved it. Nice staff. Only negative thing where the (enthusiastic) children from another group, screaming in the hallway. Makes your experience thinking you are in a wood, somewhat not woodsy :-)

We did the Golden Ticket, supposed to be 4/5 difficulty. Too easy, no storyline, no passion. The games and puzzles we're childish and disappointing.

Went there for team activity. We went for cabin in the woods. The escape room was fun. We finished the room just in time.

Quite unusual experience, cabin in the wood escape room is designed with braincracking logical steps.

Nice escape rooms but make a reservation else it might be fully booked.

Great escape rooms. One Harry Potter themed room, which made our childhood dreams come true a little bit. Perfect difficulty, also kind staff. Everything is available in English and Dutch. We went with 6 people, which was the maximum and it was a bit crowded, would recommend to go with 4 or 5 people.

We had a really great time here and the staff here were a lot of fun! We had some technical issues with our escape room and some of our clues were provided in Dutch (the attendant forgot we were English speakers), but this was still a 5 star experience! Had they not have been fully booked we probably would have done another room straight away. Would highly recommend and will be returning! Escaped from midnight magic with 18 seconds to spare.

Awesome experience! I was with my husband at the flying dutchman since we were rewatching the pirates of the Caribbean and we had so much fun! We did get stuck a couple of times, but we got helpful tips from our very nice and friendly host to help us keep going. At the register, there are some interesting puzzles to buy. Make sure to check them out!

Played escape room, missing bride. A nice addition is that as a detective you will investigate with a telephone and computer. We finished him.

I liked the experience, but some of the rooms are a bit dark and for that, difficult to think and solve the puzzle.

Edit: loved it so much we went back and did Charlie and the Chocolate factory, again it was amazing. Cannot recommend enough. For clarity, for both rooms we only did it with two people. Absolutely brilliant, we did Cabin in the Woods room and loved it! Great service, brilliant puzzles, atmospheric and just the right difficulty. Have done a lot of escape rooms and this was easily in the top 5!

We did three rooms there - Midnight Magic, Cabin in the woods and The Chocolate Factory. Our favourite was the Midnight Magic. But all the others were good too. The hosts are very friendly and enthusiastic. Very good place for team buildings or big groups of peaople because they have two identical rooms for Cabin in the woods so you can play two teams against each other.

Nice spot with lots of rooms to choose from. The room we did was nice, but could use a repair job. Some items were loose, which makes you question yourself if its part of the puzzle or not. We made it out within the hour :)

Really good fun activity on our stag do. Staff very friendly. Cabin in the woods was tough but we did it. Make sure you get there at least 10 minutes before!

Bad bad bad!! Chocolate factory puzzle- Puzzles with no logic and you can’t solve them in the time limit you are given. It is dependent on the game master too much. Really bad puzzles don’t go near here no matter how bored you are. Waste of money.

Lots of fun, it was a pity we did not think about * spoilers aller * to blow the candles! damn that was hard haha. Still we had a great time.

We did an amazing wizard theme escape room. Very clever riddles and it was very big.

We are escape room Connaisseurs and have played many rooms before. We booked „Midnight Magic“ and were expecting an interactive and immersive experience. Our Gamemaster Robin was an absolute sweetheart and did her best to make our stay enjoyable. The best part of everything was her enthusiasm and love for her work, otherwise it would be only two stars. The decor of the escape room furniture, walls, etc. is pleasing and professional. There is no reliable red line or logical indications to let the players know what to do next and once something gets triggered, certain doors and elements open with no special effects or sounds to let you know that it was correct. Escape rooms are composed of riddles and tasks, the latter is something that should follow the story, create a storyline or indicate that a riddle is at hand, that should be done next. Many of the mechanical tasks simply malfunctioned, opened at the wrong time or not at all. I know this for a fact because we had an escape game engineer in our team. It’s a real shame that the management is apparently not interested in maintaining a nice business and investing more knowledge, logic and craftsmanship into their concept - it could be a five star establishment. Right now we can absolutely NOT recommend this business.

It's a lovely place with lovely people, if you are looking for a nice mid level room definitely recommend the Flying Dutchman room

Liked all the rooms except charli and the chocolate factory. Might have enjoyed it if we went with a bigger group. Recommend cabin in the woods and the wizard room.

We had a great time and finished with 1 minute 10 seconds left. Dyllys was a great host! We will come back next time we are in Amsterdam!!

My daughter celebrated her 11th birthday at Escape World, theme Midnight Magic with 5 of her friends. They had a lot of fun and good time solving various puzzles to get from one room to another.

We had a great time playing the flying dutchman. As former gamemasters ourselves we thought that the riddles were really fun and intuitive. Our Gamemaster Dilys was especially nice and helped us throughout the game whenever we had questions or were stuck somewhere. We definitely would recommend this room if you are in a smaller group of mixed experiences with escape rooms and of course if you are Pirates of the carribean fans. Thank you for the great experience!

Staff was blunt and rude. Also had extremely long wait time with no explination. After waiting we were rushed to do everything.
