If there go and see the works of ‘ Vrouwen van Verwondering’ exhibition. Ruchama Noorda’s work lies at the outskirts but is the one that is the most breath raking

To be honest, I didn't really expect such a beautiful place here. You can take a bus there directly from Sloterdijk station. You can reach the village in 500m from the bus stop. We found a very quiet, beautiful place in nature. Time almost stands still here and it invites you to relax. At the church you can get drinks and toilets. In front of the church there is like a small garden to sit down. We didn't find much tourism there. The people who live there are very friendly. All in all one of the most beautiful places in Amsterdam. We will definitely come back.

Every Sunday at Ruigoord has a different theme, Het Woord is not the most popular but yesterday was really great fun. 2nd Sunday's 'The Word' is a poetry afternoon. This edition was a celebration of the age achievements of the two organisers Yvonne van Doorn Mousset & pioneer village squatter, original, NL beat poet, satyr Hans Plomp. Generally the poet's and poetry are fairly standard 20th century fare. There is a marked lack of microphone technique. One very frustrated audience member said in the outside smoking room 'They talk into the microphone and then just when the get to the denouement they artistically turn their head to declare it but, not into the microphone'! And a Pisa like leaning towards the boring. The marked and noticeable exceptions were in the (official) second half with nail biting stories of boyhood in occupied NL by Niels Hamel. When he said he would be reading from his autobiography I thought (yawn). When he said he couldn't find a publisher I wasn't surprised. After sitting through 2 stories, straining to ensure I heard and understood every word, literally moving to the end of my seat. I think it's ridiculous no publisher is interested. Aja Waalwijk was as always; iconoclastic, clever, tricksy, amusing, sharp and right on the button. Am I allowed to say that Maxi McNaughty left a fair few very uncomfortable with her 'Who Me' piece and then made it all alright with an acapella version of Assad's 'Shine'. As one person said 'She connected to spirit and brought it down' After the 'final' performance, people kept popping up to do more which was relatively uninspiring except for a surprise rap by 'Paul'.

A true gem... a free cultural space to be cherised. A place where likeminded people from all over the world meet and exchange arts and ideas, rooted in important art movements such as beat, fluxus and provo. Also a place where indigenous wisdom is being aknowledged, and where ecology is highly valued and explored for the benefit of all.

I've been in Ruigoord due to the landjuweel festival. It was amazing, a completely different and unique festival. It's a pity it's only celebrated once per year!

😠 This was the worst dining experience I can remember. My girlfriend and I booked a few months in advance and oh boy, was it not worth the wait. The greenhouse that we ate our food in were covered in spiders both inside and out, to the point they were falling down into our hair. We asked the waitress...

👍👍 I took my boyfriend there to see my husband ejaculate on everyone's face. My boyfriend ended up swallowing all of his seamen. 3 months later my boyfriend is pregnant with my husband's baby. I'm so excited to have a baby. We found out it's gonna be a boy and girl it's twins. And today I found out I'm...
