We walked in looking for the diamond museum only to find out we were on the manufacturing side. They have a free tour so we gave it a shot. Eva was our guide and she was wonderful! We learned about the history of diamonds, manufacturing process, and how to look for imperfections using a Loupe which was fun! She even gave us some other local recommendations! Unlike some of the other reviews we felt no pressure to buy anything. We ended up purchasing a beautiful Royal 201 cut diamond ring because I'd been looking for something to commemorate our trip. Eva helped fill out all the Global Blue tax information as well. You pay the full amount there, but once you get the customs stamped paperwork you get a refund on tax. This part is about *GLOBAL BLUE*: Make sure you get to the airport early enough to complete this process (and make sure it's open!). The booth is towards the entrance of the airport and before you go through security. I think it took us about 30-40 mins total. We were behind several groups of people that pulled out handfuls of receipts to process!! There are two steps/lines (that must be done in order) I saw multiple people waiting in line2 only to be told to go back to line1 and come back. Step/Line 1: You need to physically show your purchased items to the attendant. Then they will stamp the paperwork (completed by Eva). Make sure you don't accidentally put it in your checked luggage and on its way to the plane, they need to see it. Step/Line 2: This line was much longer. The attendant at this line will review your receipts/paperwork/stamp and ask if you want the refund in cash, or sent back to a card in 5-7 days. NOTE: Eva mentioned if you are not in a hurry, there is a drop box you can put the completed/stamped paperwork. I forgot to ask about this and blindly went into the 2nd line which took forever. If you are in hurry ask the attendant about the drop box!

What ever you do, do not buy a diamond from this place. They are con-artists who charge 5x times the price of a diamond. We made this mistake of overpaying. This place should be illegal. It’s a tourist trap. Please be warned.

Great place! Free guided tour trough the diamond polishing factory where you see diamond polishers and goldsmiths at work. We learned everything about the C's of diamond valuation and even got the chance to wear very big diamonds ourselves. The perfect mix of education and entertainment. Of course, you can also buy diamonds and diamond jewelry. They have the best diamonds in Europe, very high quality. I know they will last a lifetime. Love it!

World's oldest diamond company that makes a unique 201 facet diamond with amazing shine. Other diamonds are 57 faucets or less. They have a lovely free 15 min tour where you can actually see the staff working. Should you decide to buy something they provide top notch customer service and you can even watch them mount your gem (20 mins). If you are a tourist you can reclaim the tax on your flight out.

Fantastic. I was walking past and came in out of curiosity. I asked about the tour, submitted my name, and within five minutes someone came and have new a private tour, showing me the diamond polishers and goldsmiths at work and walking me through the building. It was all completely free, and there was absolutely no pressure to buy anything. If you are in the area and half when the smallest amount of interest in diamonds; go here.

Visited this place as part of the tour and one of the sales representatives attended to us. She explained the process of diamond formation and how a diamond is examined. I guess is a good place to visit for those who are interested in diamonds or would like to gain some knowledge on this aspect.

I cannot recommend Coster Diamonds and especially Danielle enough! We live in the UK and my fiancé contacted Danielle via email about an engagement ring for me. Danielle was very helpful and sent back lots of different options and recommendations to suit our taste and budget. When we made the trip to Amsterdam, she came into Coster Diamonds especially to meet us and gave us a personalised tour and shopping experience where we were able to compare many different diamonds and settings. She is extremely knowledgeable in her field and my fiancé and I both learnt a lot. Once a decision had been made, the chosen diamond was put into the ring within minutes! It is the most beautiful piece of jewellery I own and I love it! We enjoyed snacks and champagne to celebrate and the whole experience is one we will definitely not forget. On top of that, we had some trouble applying for a tax refund as we travelled by Eurostar. Danielle was amazing and managed to solve the issue and arrange for the refund even after we had travelled back to the UK. I would not hesitate to recommend Danielle and Coster Diamonds and we will certainly be back in the future!

It was such a pleasant shopping experience. The advice from the sale person (Bình he was) was spot on and i could feel the genuineness and honesty. I learned quite a lot about watches on top of what I had already googled. On the way, i bought a bunch of other gadgets with discount too (swiss knives etc...).

Very educational for a "diamond tour" but not fun for the wallet. And I found the tour was quite entertaining by one the Indonesian guy with his jokes. Even though I knew I would not be able to purchase anything there, but this man made my day.

The staff member that helped us was called Naira and every time we met with her she was super professional but warm and inviting. She made the experience so easy and we genuinely enjoyed the whole process. We would definitely recommend booking an audience with her if you’re unsure of what you’re looking for. She has a great knack for knowing what the customer’s style is and helped tremendously to make our visits fun and stress free. We would highly recommend Royal Coster Diamonds after our experiences with the staff.

I used the resparkle service and I was very impressed with the time and care Sophia spent with me. She is old me about the process of polishing diamonds whilst my jewellery was being resparkled and she was very attentive. I highly recommend Coster diamonds for their customer service and quality.

Surprised by the afternoon to visit a diamond factory (the best in Amsterdam) and the wonderful Angela was the reason it was such an enjoyable experience. She’s so professional, and has a real passion for her job (even after 18 years) her energy and personalised experienced made the whole afternoon just one to remember. I’ve learnt so much more about diamonds and also about myself and what I like. What a day, and we can’t wait to come back. Thank you Angela, you’re one of a kind ♥️

Very Expensive Shop, very rude staff, they just want to sell you the most expensive items in the shop and guess what they paid a commission for my guide who took me to the shop. I recommended you go to Gassan much better service and cheaper.

Got caught with a sales person that wanted to sit us down and constantly offer us items outside of our stated budget. This was extremely frustrating and resulted in us leaving without making a purchase. His inability to listen to our wants and continually upsell was upsetting. If you go, stick to your budget and don’t be afraid to leave if they don’t listen.

Visit reserved for 12:30 on 18/02/2024. - very sympathetic lady from Indonesia was our guide in English. - we were a group of 10 which was the right size - duration about 30-40 minutes - it started with a general explanation, the polishing by real craftsmen was shown and we were able to look with a loupe the shape of the diamonds - then in another room we were shown more than 10 diamonds which overall had more than 7 figure value - the explanation was clear, interesting and well communicated - then we were shown the museum pieces and at the final guided into the shop (of course, nothing is more expensive than “free”!). But there was no pushing for purchase. Conclusion: really a good occasion to learn for “free” about diamonds from a famous diamond maker and good duration for little children. Really recommend. Also if you have any intention to buy.

We had the extreme pleasure of having Mr. Hans Hofstee lead my wife and me through the intricacies of diamonds … from the sourcing to the retailing. Hans was as knowledgeable as he was gracious. He was most willing to respond to our many questions, which we were quick to offer as we the complete attention of an expert to respond to them. We visited Royal Coster on an impromptu basis. It was unplanned and spontaneous. Hans demeanour, experience and aforementioned knowledge made that fortunate choice a most memorable experience. Thank you Hans!

Amazing shopping experience! Angela was simply "the best" in helping with education about diamonds and then assisting with our purchase selection. She provided us with several alternatives, all within the required budget guidelines, and both loose diamonds and premade engagement ring selections. We couldn't ask for a better purchase experience. Than you Angela and Cister Xiamonds!

This is a tourist-trap visit, factory visit inexisting, guide speaking an English not understandable. Really not worth visiting this; the only thing they will try to do is to sell you diamonds, but for this it shouldn’t be necessary to book a visit. Don’t fall in this trap!

The 25-min so-called "factory tour" doesn't exist. The staff, whose spoken English was hardly understandable, introduced their diamonds to us very roughly for only 5 mins, then brought us to the shop! He just wanted us to buy something. Very bad presentation and selling skills. I wouldn't buy anything there of course!

Really interesting visit. One guide for 2 persons. Explaining how they polish and cut diamond. Then give you lessons how to check if diamond is of good quality or not. Don't go there to see beautiful diamonds but to improve your knowledge on how to do.

We had a two person tour with a subsequent highthea everything was taken care of down to the last detail with great attention to detail. If you have a spare thirty minutes and even the slight interest in how diamonds are prepared then their free tour is a worthwhile and educational opportunity. Although a jewellery shop there was no big sales push and they made anyone feel welcome. On the ground floor there’s the opportunity to see raw diamonds being prepared and polished and the tour guide gives a good description of the different cuts which result. The craftsmen, although working behind glass, are close enough to get a detailed look at the activity and they are happy to answer questions. Upstairs the guide gave an opportunity to admire the finished products up close and personal, with more lessons regarding what to look for when purchasing a diamond, The overview was kept both entertaining as well as educational and its a welcome environment to ask questions if you wish. At the end of the tour there’s an extensive shop, selling everything from high end jewellery to souvenirs. Again, there’s no pressure for any form of purchase which is nice but there’s lots of further opportunities to admire the products. Given the tour is offered free, for anyone who’s interested it’d be daft not to tag along. They’re offered regularly throughout every day and even an expert can learn something. The tour guides are knowledgeable and it’s insightful. You could be in any city across the world but given the central location it makes sense while you’re here!

I would highly recommend getting your diamond ring in Coster Diamonds in Amsterdam . I have had two dealings with them . One I picked out my ring in person and another was online when viewing it from Ireland . My first experience was initially getting a ring . They have a huge selection of diamonds an amazing diamond factory . It was a very enjoyable experience picking out my ring they fitted it on the day. My second experience was from Ireland and completely via email / what app messaging . I would especially like to thank Danielle who my partner and I dealt with at Coster . We are living in Ireland and ordered a new ring with the help of Danielle . She was always so quick with replies sending videos / picture via what app or email . She Showed us a variety of rings in different settings and really made the experience enjoyable . I must say she was super efficient with getting it delivered also, it took less than 24hours to arrive with the GIA cert and lovely presentation . Thank you very much a Danielle . I would definitely get other Jewelery from this shop again. All the best C & E

We got free access to this, I’m happy it was free. The tour was pointless. The tour guide spoke quietly in a loud environment, and kept walking off and leaving us, so we ended up giving up on the tour entirely. We got the impression that he didn’t want to engage with us if we weren’t going to make a purchase. Little did our guide know, I actually wanted to purchase a ring. But I didn’t, because of how we were treated. I wouldn’t recommend visiting here at all. Bitterly disappointed.
