Doctors working here are amazing. They have a lot of empathy and are very good. But the assistants? The worst… this is how long I waited today … Also, they assistants do not believe you if you tell them you’re in pain…. once they sent me back home and assumed I do not need to see a doctor.

After 40 minutes of waiting on the phone even though I was the first caller on the line, the phone call gets just randomly cancelled, it’s impossible to reach them and to make an appointment, and they not taking me as a walk in patient either… so basically I can not get medical attention from that health provider where I am registered. And it has happened many time before, I’ve heard the excuse “due to temporary staff shortage” way too many times for over a year or two, so not really sure if this is “temporary”… But when I got magically an appointment, the medical care was good.

I admire the hard work medical workers do, specially after the last 2 years. However, this clinic have managed to disappoint on multiple occasions. I am suffering from an eye infection, so I made an appointment for today, and because of a mixup from their part, I had to wait 40 minutes for the doctor who was walking around and in-out his room. Two people who arrived in there and stated that they haven't made an appointment walked in before me, I complained about my waiting politely and was asked to wait longer, while the same doctor is yet again walking around. Until I decided to leave the clinic and try and find a different doctor. The waiting lines on the phone are usually between 14-25 minutes, there is no toilets in the clinic so if your check ups include a urine sample, expect to pay 50cents to use the station's busy and filthy toilets, and then walk back to the clinic holding a urine sample.

Utterly useless, words can not begin to describe how terrible Central Doctors is with communication.

Waste of time and money. Both me and my girlfriend have been here several times with horrible experiences... Wrong diagnostics, they talk down on you, send you away with no help, don't listen, arrogant, rude and the list goes on. But you still have to pay even though they play with your health.. Very bad compared too other doctors. Only good thing is the location as i am their neighbour. Stay away!

These doctors make very extreme mistakes. They will happily tell you they have prescribed medicine they have not, even if it results in actual danger for clients. Please treat yourself better than to go here.

The doctors are good and it is nice that they have long opening hours but when you call sick or to make an appointment you have to wait endlessly. That is really frustrating especially when sick and wanting to call for advice as supposed to! UPDATE: this has become a regular practice that I have to wait 1.5 hour!!!!! and even sometimes have the call cancelled after waiting for 1+ hour :[ total madness!!!!

Extremely unprofessional. Have an issue with a mole(a big one) and asked for more thorough examination. They neither used a dermatoscope, no gave a refferal notice to a dermatologist. Just superficially inspected it with the conclusion "doesn't seem bad, can remove it if you want". Really? Is this huisart aware that such big moles require a special screening before the removal? Moreover, we had arrived 10 minutes earlier the appointment time but we were hurried in a very unpleasant manner.

I have had some bad service over my lifetime. But nothing comes close to Central doctors. Been trying to make an appointment for more than a week. Multiple emails which were not answered. Called them more than 5 times always waiting more than 30min and when first in the queue no one answers. Previous times I was there always received extremely bad service but thought the convenience of their long opening hours make up for this. Now not even being able to get in contact with them for more than a week is a new low. This level of incompetence should be illegal.

Impossible to get in contact with them and unbelievably rude service. I had been trying to contact them for 2 days, one I waited for more than an hour and the second, I decided to personally go there while being on the call. When I arrived, I was the "first on the line" (after 40 mins) but the ladies were just talking amongst themselves and the line was free. When complaining about this they didn't care at all and one of them was incredibly rude and even made fun of my reason for making an appointment. Sadly, this is not the first bad experience that I have with them, but it will certainly be the last one.

Super long waiting line on the call, I was on hold for 20 minutes and in the end nothing. In addition, I had a serious problems with my kidneys and I had to beg a doctor to give me a recommendation for further check and treatment. Thank God I'm registering with a different doctor.

Unfortunately I can´t recommend the central doctor. My medical examination was very superficial. In general I had the personal impression that there is more interest in the payment than in the thorough medical examination and health. Better go somewhere else

Two times they gave me a wrong diagnosis amd wrong medicine. Most of the doctors don't know what you have and they just google symptoms in front of you! Terrible, find another clinic to go to!

I spent over 50 minutes waiting for a blood test appointment, and saw patients who came in after me, go in before me and doctors walking in and out chatting about nothing. One of the doctors also has no empathy at all and doesn’t even bother to read your file. This was the last push I needed to finally go find a better practice.

Not sure if the lady at the front desk was having a bad day or she doesn’t like Asians in general, but she was condescending and extremely rude. Thankfully I only had a minor issue and I sorted it out on my own. No wonder the ratings are so terrible. Honestly, if you can wait for your GP avoid them at all costs.

Impossible to make an appointment. I waited for 30 minutes on the phone, just to be disconnected by the clinic. I am a regular patient at there clinic, therefore, now I have no choice other than changing my GP. They do not answer emails or it takes a months to get some sort of an answer.

Every time I need to call them to schedule an appointment, get results or whatever it take at least 5 calls. They don't answer the phone whatsoever, I absolutely hate the music it plays while you wait because I must have heard for at least 10 hours for waiting for so long. It's a good GP to start whenever you move in but find another one not long after.

We called Central doctors because they charged us 80 euros without being in the Netherlands. after waiting 1 hour the receptionist denied they charged us anything and hung up during the call! This is a horrible way to talk to people who have are waiting for hours. I understand that you have lots of patients but you have to service them decently not treat them like slaves! Besides, we never know why they charged us!

I ve been with this practice for some time now because they are close by and they always challenge my patience. Only to get in touch with an assistent takes 50 minutes in line. They answer, tell u to hold a sec and forget about you. This is totally disrespectful. Once I called with an infection after one night of no sleep and pain and the lady told me that for them is not as important as for me so she cannot schedule earlier. Just in 2 days. I had to find another practice. She just expected me to wait in pain two more days. This is the worst practice I ve been with in the 8 years I lived in Amsterdam.

I never met a doctor like this in my life. I guess they did not learn him how to communicated with people. Hè did not listen to my health complains. I really hoped that he would give me advice and listen to me. His english was really bad as well. Overall bad experience. If you are looking for a doctor please go somewhere else!!!

Very friendly assistants and I used to love this doctors practice. However, it is impossible to reach them for last months, every time I call it says I am 7-10th on the line... it takes more than one hour to get connected which is insane... I understand it if was clothes customer service but this is a doctor so hiring more people or doing online appointments, something should be done

Don't believe the people who left a bad review, these guys are gold! I've lived in Amsterdam for many years and I've had different doctors and I've stayed with them ever since i went for the first time! The level of dedication and availability is amazing, they do walk-ins as well as appointments and this is why sometimes the waiting times are long, but only for non emergency cases. So I agree, if you can breathe and can stand you can wait! I've only had good experiences with them, great doctors, great assistance and lots of patience! Ps: they also treat tourists who are not registered, I'm pretty sure no other doctor studio in Amsterdam does that!! Thanks for your service

This takes so long, I’m afraid to miss my flight because of this Currently more than 90 minutes in queue and apparently 25 minutes the first in line. Even the audio prompt in the waiting music is bored to death. If you want to experience a waste of time, call Central Doctors.

Poor organization: it is super hard to get on the phone with them and get an appointment. Also, once I had a scheduled phone appointment with the doctor and was not called. I tried to call them but no one replied. I had to physically go to the desk and ask them about it - the receptionist said "oh I changed it for later this week and forgot to inform you" without any sympathy, like it was something I should be expecting. Finally, the doctors, generally, just don't want to refer you to a specialist - you have to be close to death. I was in severe pain for months without any solution and one of the doctors even smirked at me on the phone when I said I could not sleep because of the pain. Finally they gave up and sent me to a specialist. If you have the option, get a different GP.

The phone waiting time is ridiculous, every time you need a prescription you'd just wait for 2 hours in the line and then suddenly get disconnected. I had good experience with doctors, but it's unacceptable for a medical service to be impossible to reach. Nobody should waste their time like this.

Very 'touristy' treatment from the staff and doctors, very low empathy or consideration for the patients. The ladies at the reception are very unprofessional, never delivered what they say they will (phone call, email with information, etc). The IT system very disorganized, the email addresses typed wrong, all data from the registration forms inserted wrongly, no ability to retrieve the dossiers from the previous doctors. I went in for a travel vaccination consult and the nurse just looked online, no written paper to follow-up, no record in my file about the discussion. Very bad service overall, looking forward to changing it for 1400 euros paid for the health insurance this is just a joke. They count on the fact they are opened from 7 to 21 and during weekends, that it's in the central station extremely convenient and that they always have a free spot for a consult within 24 hours, but not worth it really.

Every time I need to deal with the practice is very painful. The reception seems very unprepared and always mess up my appointments or doesn’t share the correct information, emails are ignored and medical forms lost. On top of that after mentioning a serious problem to a doctor, the first comment was: Don’t worry, you have two kidneys. The lack of empathy that came with that message makes me uncomfortable till this day. Perhaps it’s time to find another practice where the duty of care is followed through.

Well, pull up a chair and let me regale you with a tale of our medical misadventure this past weekend. My buddy, unfortunately, didn't have the best time exploring the healthcare circuit. And it being his first time in Europe and visiting me in Amsti this was a frustrating start. First, we visited the fine establishment known as OLVG Oost. They seemed to specialize in the innovative technique of "non-diagnosis." They displayed the uncanny ability to not even bother to check symptoms. It's a skill, really. Next, we embarked on a journey to the Central Doctors, who apparently moonlight as time management consultants. I was given a 40-minute ultimatum to pay for our appointment. Well, thank you, Central Doctors, for teaching us the true value of time. Our pièce de résistance, however, came when a physician offered a diagnosis as vague as the plot of a David Lynch movie - "Infection of the upper body." As much as I appreciate interpretive medicine, a little specificity wouldn't go amiss. Now we’re in Greece at the start of our hiking holiday and guess what? It was viral pneumonia! That’s gotten worse since it’s been improperly treated. He’s in hospital for the next 2-3 days on a drip. Who would have thought? Evidently not our Amsterdam healthcare tour guides. Thankfully the Greek doctors were willing to listen and actually try to treat my friend. To the stars of our tragicomedy at OLVG Oost and Central Doctors, a gentle reminder: you're in healthcare, not healthguess. Maybe a rebranding is in order? In all seriousness though, patient care should be paramount, whether we're tourists or locals. Perhaps a listening ear can be your new prescription pad? Until our paths cross again (and I sincerely hope they don't), may your coffee be strong and your diagnoses stronger.

Called to make quick appointment for treatment of an ear infection. Was on hold for one hour with no pickup. For the fact that this country is meant to have one of the top tier healthcare systems in the world, where I'm from I would've had an appointment, treatment and gotten my antibiotics in the time I sat waiting on hold here. Go somewhere else.

Useless place. Also, doctors are not helpful as you expect. In my case, they do not even visually examine, do not really question properly, but simply prescribe diclofenac pills for acute pain in the spine. One star for fast acceptance. Another one for that all this "medical show" is for free.

Adding again to this review, i left this practice as they never pick up. same answering machine voice note for past year plus. stating lack of staff. you cannot get an appointment here. when i finally got through the assistant hung up the phone after 45 mins wait and just one hello then phone went down. awful service here. last time i spent 90 minutes waiting and still nobody answering the phone. I was number 1 in line for over an hour. You see a different doctor every time you go so you can never be comfortable with your visit.

I give 2 stars for the poor receptionists doing their best and the doctors who are lovely. But I waited nearly an hour and a half yesterday for my appointment, and have had long waits here before. I was also on the phone for ages trying to get an appointment. Leaving this review in the hopes that something is done to address this because very few people can just sit around waiting. I had to take off work and was supposed to be back after. Please hire more staff and plan better.

Having had a very positive experience in November '21 after which I left a 5 star review (thank you Doctor Joseph), this mornings visit did not go quite as smoothly. After a polite conversation with the receptionist it seemed there was no alternative but to look for a new doctor. I am disappointed with this outcome knowing it could have so easily been avoided. Please press the 'thumps up' if my review helped you with your decision.

It’s so easy to write a bad review over a little wait on the phone, but you need to realize that these opening hours that make doctors more accessible for the public aren’t easy on the doctors OR the receptionists. I love this place, I’m always treated with respect and care, and I’ve never waited longer than a day for an appointment. Couldn’t recommend it more!

(Translated by Google) Unfortunately very unkind assistants and an uninterested doctor. The acting doctors are the best about this place. I had to leave something for research, normally you put it in a container on the counter. It was nowhere to be seen, so after a long wait I tried to put it behind the counter. Then an assistant asks if she can help me, I calmly explain to her that I had to deliver something to which she angrily responded with "we try to take a break." I explain that I came and had no idea. Then she interrupts me with "It doesn't matter". Respectless and aggressive assistants are enough reason for me not to stay with a doctor but since the doctor himself is not too good and you hardly look at it during a visit, I know enough about how things work here.

I came today and asked for a medicine for diabetes, witch I lost . I ask the lady about it and she till me its available but you need to prescription (witch I understood). I told her I can bring it by messages from my doctor, she insist to bring by paper or to visit there doctor . The doctor ask me for 30Euro to write on papers for me. Then I told them that i need only for 2days ,this medicine is very cheap around 3 euro. And they refused to help. The question what about If I dont have money and this medicine is important for my life at that moment!

I went to the clinic to get a recommendation to a psychologist. After talking to the GP, his advice was to tell myself i'm doing good and i will be cured, but gave me the recommendation to their psychologist, and also asked me to come back for check up. Two more times i came back and he told me the same exact sentences he knows about this topic. Then i had an appointment w the psychologist, which was rushed, and we made the next one to be in person. I asked two times if it's in the same building as the GP, they assured me it is. I came there at the time of the session just to find out it's in a different building, and there was nothing scheduled in their calendar. We made a new appointment to be online. In the meantime i had an infection and asked for an electronic prescription (since they've already prescribed it before). I kept trying to reach the office on the phone, which took ages, once they finally picked up they told me the GP will call me back. I repeated this for a week since i received no calls. Then i wrote them an email, and they finally prescribed the meds. I went to the pharmacy and there was no prescription. I called the clinic again since it was urgent, they again assured me they will write it, and i went to a different pharmacy, where they told me again nothing was prescribed. I finally went to the clinic in person and got the meds. I also asked them to confirm about the appointment with the psychologist, they assured me it's scheduled. Guess who didn't show up on the time of the appointment? They also sent me the invoices after assuring me everything is covered.. I found out later they have forgotten to attach my insurance to the file, so i had to do it myself to not have to pay. This clinic is a mess. Find somebody else if you can.

The problem with these doctors is the telephone, its not normal to be waiting 2 hours to be attended per call when there are only 3 persons in front of me. I think they should really take care of that.

Simply put...if you care about your health, do not go here. Administration and secretaries are not well trained and the doctors do not care about helping you unless they can solve it with paracetamol. There is nothing worse than being in physical pain and no one caring to help you in a health center.

Young doctors that barely seem to know anything besides paracetamol. I asked to be called for an phone consultation, but even that was too difficult for them. I am changing to a decent doctor, with actual knowledge and decency, instead of these students and amateurs.

I’ve been going to this practice for 2.5 years due to the location and ease of booking appointments in English. However, I recently had an extremely unprofessional experience where a doctor cancelled a phone appointment with me while I was experiencing extremely negative health symptoms at home (unable to move) and in the file left a note for me to do what the front desk admin told me to for my symptoms. No one told me the appointment got canceled so i called an hour after my original appointment time to checkin. I’ve never seen a doctor cancel, not notify the patient, and worst of all tell a patient to take medical health advise from a non-medical person. It took me almost an hour to get ahold of the front desk again to hear this from them with no remorse or apology whatsoever! Do yourself a favor and go see real doctors. I cannot recommend a doctor or clinic that treats patient health with such little care or regard.

This is a very busy practice with high quality doctors. It deserves a better rating than what is told. They are always on time for my appointments and the lovely male doctor never rushes you out and will spend a lot of his time answering multiple questions and requests. This rarely happens with doctors as they have to adhere to a busy schedule with many patients, so this is refreshing. It's true the phone line can get very busy and you can wait a while. It's best to call before midday as the afternoon gets busy on the line and the receptionist takes a break around 3pm. Test results take about 3-4 weeks.

Not sure about the negative reviews because this is a doctors office open every day. I myself was in the same situation of having to hold on the phone for quite some time months ago but when it’s sick season we can’t blame the front desk. The individuals working at the front were extremely helpful even if I couldn’t get an appointment with the doctor. Hoping to feel better soon so huge thanks to the centraal doctors!

(Translated by Google) Patient history is not taken into account! They refused to send me to an eye doctor twice, I had to insist that they send me after the third time with severe symptoms (while my medical history is heavy and their summer well marked) and now I find myself with lifelong problems on my eyes! I would really like to speak to the doctors and tell them that when we find ourselves in a situation that we do not control then you have to send the patient to the appropriate specialist !!! You are a general practitioner and not a specialist in a field of medicine. The secretaries ask too many indiscreet questions about the medical field of patients I also want to clarify, they or they are not doctors! I really think that the people working there, whether they are medical assistants, secretaries or doctors, must stay in their place and review their role within this system! I needed a referral for counseling. I have been going through some of the hardest times in my life. tonight a doctor (I assume) called me. It was a week before my actual appointment and not with the doctor I scheduled with. This made me feel apprehensive and confused. She (dr. [I think] W) kinda made me feel stupid because when I asked her to repeat her name she threw in that "as I already stated." There is so much emotional difficulty, I wish that someone kinder could have reached out to me on this day. This place is so overwhelmed with business, but they are cannot hire more staff. It could be a great place if you want to pop in for a tram ride, but if you are a local, then you wan to avoid this place. It's been like this for a long time. You have a great chance to meet a nice doctor here, but there are so many problems that it probably isn't worth it for many.

It takes long to make an appointment been in the waiting line for 40 mins( i was the first waiting). After i canceled, then i called back i was the 4th in the waitinf line. The doctors are freelancers to make some bucks and you won't see them regularly hence they don't care, if you have something more than a sore throat, i suggest you go somewhere else. Touristic scam in the heart of Amsterdam

NEVER GO HERE EVEN IF YOURE DYING!! If you’re lucky enough to get an appointment they will keep you waiting. I payed 78 euros to sit down with someone and have them tell me i need to take paracetamol and see a real doctor (im coughing up blood and have pain breathing) Afterwards he prescribes me some antibiotics, on the receipt it says i have 30 days to pay the amount onto a bank account yet the staff refused to let me leave until i payed the full prescription up front. After some altercations the staff deleted my prescription from the system meaning i can not go to another place to pick it up. Took my money and left me to die!!!

Saving Lives! I say it as an Expat who integrates into culture, pays taxes m swapped few health insurers and also lived here first with "foreigner" health care. I moved to the Netherlands for the first time in 2016. I experienced each step of Dutch Healthcare. Through typical huisarts that dont take new people, husiarts with no time or zero interest "neem een paracetamol", to hospital and special care adventures ... Such as being sent out of ER without treatment in urgent condition (just to be re-admitted to Acute Zorg next hour). Amsterdam Central Doctors an their Bloemgracht practice iS a place that saved my life when no one cared. Yes,they are overbooked and very busy but if you're really unwell on Sunday evening - their office is open. They will listen. They can check your blood right away in the office. They will send you for additional checks and to a specialist when your health is declining, without any paracetamol comments. This place helped my friend to get a surgery within a month when his first huisarts was trivialising the situation for a year (hernia of a size of grapefruit). It's rare to find a place where people still care about you and your health, not quotas they get from insuring companies. When you get to their office, they always find a solution. Big thank you to the kind ladies at the reception desk. Yes, it's hard to call for a visit but their availability is exceeding 99,9% of typical GP's in this country. they have even mental health support, which is a miracle in this country (when wait to get to GGZ may take years). If you doubt - just pass by the central station and observe the office in action, just for an hour. Those ladies deal easily with +80 people daily, and that's just in person. Then calls and emails, follow ups. Thank you for saving my and my friend's life p.s use their website to book the appointment, if nothing is available and it's very heavy - pass by the office. it will save you time and worry.

It's usually easy to get a referral from them, but they took so many patients (for money reason I assume) that they can't deal with the numbers. I'm calling them at this very moment - it's been 41 minutes since I've been on the line and I'm only 4th in the calling line. They also never reply to emails.

I have been going to this doctor for 4 years now, always very helpful and understanding. Always finds a spot if it is an emergency, makes all the tests if needed, there is also a Russian speaking doctor that is very convenient for me. Really like the place, thank you!

I've been coming to this practice for about three years now. The doctors are helpful, friendly and explain things well. Importantly, the practice has longer opening hours than most other practices in Amsterdam. Also useful is the automatic medication dispenser outside the practice. I recommend emailing to book an appointment rather than calling, as the front desk people are often busy

The doctors are amazing they are super willing to help and always want to help find the issue to the problem! But the receptionist when I had complained about horrible back pain told me to “eat a kiwi” and if I feel better cancel then appointment! I don’t think this is appropriate for someone who has horrible back pain. But I didn’t do that I just went to my appointment and than the doctor helped me and was so kind and helpful and I am very grateful for that.

I would not recommend to go this doctors. 3 out of 3 times it was really bad consultation. They could not help me and when asking for recommendations for specialists in certain areas. The only thing they try to threaten you with bad service and payment you have to do yourself.... quote"if you had one only miscarriage before you should keep trying it and only after I can give you a transfer to a specialist" wooohoo.... welcome to 2020.

Not surprised by the bad rating this "medical center" has. Actually even 1 star it's too much. This is a branch of the Amsterdam Expat Medical Center in Bloemgracht which is already one of the worst places on Earth. This is a medical center where no one share compassion nor try to understand your problem. Doctors are not willing to help you, they just prescribe pain killers even when you have a clear infection. Lots of unqualified "professionals" which don't know how to help people. This place should be shut down because it is really pointless. I totally recommend you to avoid this place.

(Translated by Google) 1 star is still too much. I have never been treated as rude as last night. Don't want to listen. Talking about me complaining about my medication which I unfortunately really need to live and function a little bit of pain free. But the doctor is fascinated. And the lady behind the counter is chewing gum unabashedly. Only on Amsterdam where you write. It says on their website that we are not songs and that people are being listened to. They become meaningless which they certainly cannot live up to. I immediately unsubscribed. I don't want anyone to be treated that way. So beware again and don't believe what their website says. Ik heb me meteen uitgeschreven. Ik gun niemand om zo behandeld te worden. Dus nogmaals pas op en geloof niet wat erop hun website staat.

I am staying in the Netherlands for 3 months from the States. When my first prescription refill was late arriving in the mail, the doctors here saw me the same day to get 2-weeks worth of medication. Enough to last until my package arrived. When the package arrived with a note from customs saying the medications weren't allowed to be shipped, and were therefore destroyed, this office again saw me on the same day I called. They provided a refill to last for the rest of my time in the Netherlands. Both times the medications were filled within a few minutes. Great doctors office for fellow travelers! Fast, friendly service. 👍👍

Was on the line from 6 p.m. And was number two in the queue. At 7:00 PM still waiting on the line, waiting number 1. At 7:01 PM the connection was disconnected. Bad. Very bad. Just don't answer the phone. You really have to go by to reach them.

my partner has been with them for 2 years and they have been extremely incompetent. Never pick up the phone in an emergency, get re-directed to other phonelines during emergencies that don't work, they don't pick up, absolutely beyond incompetent. Don't bother, you won't be helped by them. I have been on hold now for over 48 minutes, as the emergency line doesn't work. Please find another physician if you value your health. *UPDATE* spoke to the emergency line, non-caring and expects you to know everything. If you're an expat, this is not what we dutch are like in other cities, but avoid at all cost.

I have been a patient for years. Good doctors, good staff. Easy to get an appointment and never wItes more than a day for an appointment. Really good working hours. The nurses are really kind and professional. The pharmacy next door works also on Sundays.

  • 1/5 Mandisa S. 3 years ago on Google
They are terrible. The assistants forcibly talk you out of booking an appointment and they are extremely rude. 0/10 recommend. When it comes to health one needs to feel heard and respected and this DOES NOT happen at this place.

  • 5/5 Edit N. 3 years ago on Google
I have been a patient here since May 2019 and it would be a lie to say everything went always perfectly(which is normal), but it sure deserves a bigger average rating then the current one which is 3,1. They have a really strong reception, employees have a professional approach and are prepared and empathic when needed. They handle needles painlessly when doing blood exams. Doctors are good, professional and often go above and beyond. On the negative side they are often late, but when a patient is late they rush to remind them to be on time.

This is my 'huisaarts' and as always, they are friendly, efficient, and effective. I was there on 19/06/2020 at 11:15 to get blood drawn. The nurse (whose name I have forgotten) saw me immediately and was very gentle and quick with taking my blood.

I always appreciate the care I receive here. The doctors and assistants are very kind and knowledgeable. My only complaint is the waiting room. The employees just continue to chat with each other instead of scanning the room to make sure if someone is still waiting. The doctor had me sit down and told one of the assistants to take my blood. She just carried on chatting with their colleague for 15 minutes until I asked how long it’s going to take. Then she says: “oh, you’re waiting?” This happens often. Look alive people.

An extremely convenient practice located within Centraal Station. Because of the location, there are the mix of urgent and non-urgent walk ins from tourists as well as inner city “usual suspects” to keep the staff very busy. What I like is the efficient, kind and practical help, and even better the awesome opening hours. You do need to manage your own follow-ups etc, but for me that’s entirely fine. Good pharmacy located next door too.

Great and very empathetic doctors. I’ve been here three times and am stunned by the great service. It always takes a day or two to get an appointment, even with things that feel like an emergency- but once you are there you wait only a few seconds until it’s your turn (at least that’s my experience). Everyone was friendly even though the waiting area was really full, the doctor was super nice and did a great service by properly checking me. Also with an European health insurance card I didn’t had to pay anything and was out so quickly. The whole thing today was 5 mins!

This might be the only time in all my years living in the Netherlands that I actually experienced polite and helpful reception at a doctor in Amsterdam. And most importantly the doctor cared enough to examine my guest and prescribe the necessary medication! Up until now I have been practically begging doctors to take my health seriously and not send me home with Ibuprofen to wait it out! I DEFINITELY suggest tourists to use this practice for when they get sick during their visit here! Seems that tourists get better medical care 🤷‍♂️

I've been going to this practice around 5+ years now, probably since they opened this Central Station branch. Mostly happy with the doc services especially when I was new in the country and they take their time explaining how it works here and also with the nice pharmacy just next door. However, I can appreciate some of the bad reviews here. I do too notice some of the delays and inefficient paper pushing that happened especially lately as they have more and more business. I used to be able to walk-in but now always have to make appointment and even so still have to wait. There was also a case (or two) when a follow up calls were not made in good time. I hope they will tidy up the admin a bit and also ensure to keep quality in the face of increasing volume.

  • 5/5 Rob C. 2 years ago on Google
I was able to get an appointment fairly quickly. When I arrived the receptionist greeted me and got me checked in. The wait was only 10 minutes from my appointment time. The physician was polite and helped me with my health problem. I got a prescription and was able to fill it onsite in the pharmacy next door. Overall great experience and I would recommend to anyone needing medical care.

We have performed a test for my mother who is visiting us as a tourist. The initial information was that the result would be ready within 2 working days. There was no result within 1 week. After 2 weeks today still there is no test result, I have been waiting on the phone for more than 1:30 hours just to be able to connect to those guys. Unbelievably bad service quality.
